Yes, I think the same, it's rather that you learn them as you go, or better said, as you play. The best way to learn them all quickly would be to study statistics applied to games of chance, which in turn would help you understand much better how they work.

This is something difficult to know, because very few people are going to take the time to accurately remember how much time it took them to memorize something so specific, also it depends. for someone that is only interested in a single game they are not going to need remember many terms while those which are interested in many games and to study them profoundly then it is going to take a lot longer to learn all the jargon that is needed to have a conversation with another gambler.

your environment always contributes what you learn. surround yourself with gamblers and you will become a gambler and talk like gambler. Grin

may be start playing cards in a local casino, you will eventually learn it in less than a week. in my country every time there's a dead's wake, people in such gathering are gambling to stay awake. i often attend to gamble too. its a country's tradition to fund the wake.

It only took few minutes of your time if you knew how to use google search and understand it carefully. There are a lot of blogs and articles that explain all the info about gambling in ELI5(Explain Like I'm 5) which can be easily understand of most readers.

These jargons is not too important to fully understand if you are just a jormal gambler since you can't still verify some terms if you have technical knowledge such seed, How can you guarantee that the seed that you verify is really trusted if you didn't know how to check code. Cheesy

I cant tell the exact time but I guess it took me over a month than before realizing those jargon because I'm not too much addicted in gambling but at the same time i know some of the friends playing and come with them by that i get an idea with their terminologies using with and of course over and over I just got known with these terms now, we didn't pay attention too much by that we cause time goes by we didn't expect we adopt those already.

Simply study the gambling terminology or jargon you don't understand the first time you come across them.

The only benefit I can think of when measuring the time it takes to understand gambling lingo is assessing the person's level of understanding within the specific field, which is usually irrelevant. Who cares if you are the most knowledgeable person in the gaming industry if luck is the game's driving force?

it is nothing different like Investing , there are terminologies that we must understand and learn so we can move forward in completely gaming .
and if you are into something? along the way you will learn everything inside.
like for example in simple games that we learn when we were young , just by playing and betting , in short period of time we manage to understand the terms so what more now that we are mature and truly interested in gambling?

The jargon for a specific game, e.g. poker or black jack, took me quite some time. Probably around a week? Granted I only played a few times each day, but it naturally came to me while playing. Never really tried looking for the jargon themselves and studying it though, cause if I did, it probably wouldn't even take that long. Now as for terms like "martingale" which is a strategy or a pattern to use, or any other term outside of specific games, then that took much longer since I did not even realize it exists in the first place. I used it unknowingly at one point even.

Though tbf, only jargon for specific games is rather important. Outside of those? Not really.

When I was just starting to gamble, the first thing I learned was the term "bet". For me, it was something that needed to be understood first because knowing that you can make sure that you are going to be approaching it the right way. Then comes the "strategies" that you are going to approach to "win". That's just the tip of the iceberg when dwelling with it.

I've never worried about having to acquire this knowledge, I believe it's something you learn over time and that it's not essential for those who are starting to play.
Of course, for those who are used to playing games of chance that only accept Fiat, starting to play on a site that accepts cryptocurrencies is a little challenging and requires a minimum of knowledge to be able to make deposits and withdrawals safely.

I do not think that there are enough jargons or terms that are relatively difficult to understand.

I remember when I first entered a casino, it was very difficult for me to understand the basics of poker, especially that they use terms such as hit, fold, etc. I was somehow confused on what those are but I quickly learned the meaning after doing some research.

Maybe the jargons you are pointing out can be applicable to some gambling methods that are practiced culturally or that is specific in a given country. But from my experience alone, I have yet to encounter a term that is of its first kind.

There are different terms and jargons that are used in gambling. Perhaps the latest gambling technical terms that I learned are those associated with sports betting like parlay and others. I learned them many years ago when I started sports betting online. Prior to that, I do sports betting only with individuals, person to person in other words.

On the other hand, there are also other gambling terms which I learned much later than the game itself. For example, I learned and play poker much earlier than I learned the terms such as turn or river or rainbow or ante. Before, I just knew the mechanics and the game without really knowing the jargons.

To be honest, for an average gamblers that are not inclined to technology, maybe this terms are not important. But let say you are s smart gambler and the first time you wanted to try online gambling, then you will want to know how fair they are. So you will do and research it yourself, read their terms and conditions and maybe see this one or two terms under. And with that, it might be different for every individuals. Maybe in just one try and user experience they will have the grasp of it. But for the majority maybe it will take sometime to be familiarized with these jargons.

When I started gambling a few years ago, I was not very familiar with the jargon or terms in gambling and didn't really bother with it.
With more and more I play gambling, I mean, the intensity of playing gambling increases, making me slowly start to get to know the terms in gambling but that also doesn't make me curious to look for more terms because I think that I will find out later.
Because I just want to gamble in my spare time, I don't hear those terms very often.
Maybe for other people, they will find out the terms used in gambling.

Not sure how long it take me not just to learn, but to understand what and the hows of this jargons. But the first thing to do is really research about this terms and then actually playing and see how it is being apply when you gamble.

Probably the easiest is the martingale system though, I mean it's the most well known strategy or methods ever since. But other terms in online gambling is very different though and as I have said, you really have to play and experience it before understand them.
