Bitcoin could achieve all of its achievement due to people believe in it, support bitcoin and simply because it is a better monetary technology.
Bitcoin will develop further than just current price or acceptance, just like other technologies and there is no better one right now, so bitcoin will always lead the way of cryptocurrency. The banks do not care about Bitcoin right now... it is still too small. The market cap is less than some people's net worth's... think about it. But soon when/if it gets over $10,000 it will be worth more than any person and everyone will start taking notice. But the banks still won't care until it poses a significant threat. I think the market cap would need to be closer to $1,000,000,000,000 before that happens.
$1 trillion dollars would mean each bitcoin would be priced at $62,000 at 16 million bitcoins in circulation. Well, if that would be the target (or truth) then I would definitely bet all my money on bitcoins. However, that is still far from the truth. Bitcoins can easy be bought just by even one big bank and it will not even dent their wallets.

It is not just a progress but a big, strong slap on the face opposition parties who never encouraged people and became optimistic about bitcoins but always spit out negative words from their mouth for it. I wanna thank them actually because that's the challenge which gave us (community) the strength to move on above all those bullshit rumors as well as negative energies and prove them that we have something super-extraordinary which they won't resist using themselves in the near future.
You have put it righ, for people without job or in heavy economic situation Bitcoin could be the way out as a main or additional source of income. But the problem is that still not enough people are not familiar with Bitcoins and all possibilities it offers and especialy in poor countries many people don't have access to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

When it comes to the long term, people still love Bitcoin and thus even after the split they are showing support. Yes, I would accuse investors using their Bitcoin funds to trade with Bitcoin cash because there was an opportunity and investors tried to en-cash it. Now, I would say that they are back in their investor mode and investing again considering the long term scenario which results in the rise in the price of Bitcoin. However, no one is denying the volatility in the price of Bitcoin but we have seen such bear and bull rallies many times so far and yet there net annual growth every year except 1 year.

Last January 2017, the prices of bitcoins were around $1000 each and this month it already skyrocketed up to $2800. What is surprising is that even with the recent for that just happened a couple of days ago, the prices remain intact and it even increased. Even though last July 17 it went down to around $1900, the price always rises within time. Bitcoin is truly a blessing to all investors and earners but what comes to play is our decision making on WHEN and WHERE to invest it.
With time Bitcoin is evolving and becoming better and better. Of course there are problems and issues but that is normal for everything new that developes with time. This maybe too small for our world population but at least its a big help for the demand and circulation of bitcoin.
And with the current rate today I know in bitcoin anything is not possible. Just by seeing the growth graph within a year its really an uptrend. Of course the issues are still there but bitcoin survive all this as I can say bitcoin is indeed a survivor for the past few years of its life.

Bitcoin is not a blessing because it is a opportunity. The only thing that makes bitcoin a blessing is when you found out that there is bitcoin but it is an opportunity because if you will not work for it then there is no results or rewards that you gonna get in bitcoin. Bitcoin is like a regular job but the difference is, there is an easy work in bitcoin but a higher range of income rather than the usual regular job. 
today bitcoin was really a blessings as it soar as high as three thousand US dollars. three years ago i thought bitcoin was a big bubble after the collapse of the silk road and the disaster MTGox exchange companiy.now forks and splits has come and most of us fears about the decline of bitcoin if ever the other fork was proven effecient than the original bitcoin core. five days had passed bitcoincash was born but still the bitcoin id unstoppable.
