Yes, we have to be very careful while investing because we can't dumbly invest into altcoin without researching those. So, it is good to find the potential coin and which has the ability to develop the roadmap and their progress will always help us to make money. Otherwise, we will end up in loss.
ICOs as we all know well is a risky investment and you must be careful.
In my opinion we should not invest in new ICO because there are many scams in new ICOs. Better to invest only in authentic and reliable coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, litecoin and ripple. There are many more which are authentic but I can’t right all the names. Split your investment in different coins so that you can avoid big loses and can make handsome money. 
People should be scared of shitcoins. That's the painful truth! There's so many crypto scams out there that it can be compared to walking on a minefield. However This would been always part of the risk since we do know ICO investment do really have the tendency on getting failed or scammed along the way.
At this day and age, with a lot of information on the web about several coins, I really do not even expect anyone to be dealing in shitcoin as it is. The importance of doing some proper research on any coin one wants to be holding for long should not be discarded. This is highly important and anyone who does not want to be a victim of screwing up in their investment big time will have to always take note of the team, product and how the product can be perceived in the long term as well as the possibilities of some limitations.

Honestly, everyone should be careful and not rush to choose the currencies in which to invest their financial of money,
Those new investors that just realized and thought out that crypto is a good investment. They are the ones that must be fully aware that not everything in crypto sphere is worth to invest. Just like in real world, there are predators out there that are willing to attack their prey and looks for a target that they can eat. Scams are everywhere and they are upgraded most of the time, using internet and targets those greedy people who are giving them a simple instruction that they should send to this bla bla address before receiving the fund.
Read this several minutes ago. We must be vigilant on what we are investing and must do some research or study first if the project that we wanted to join is legit or not. So sad that there are some ICOs who are just making money for their own sake. Because of this issues, people becomes scared of cryptocurrencies and thinks that other cryptos that are legit are scams too.

Like seriously, most of you here do make mistakes a lot. Ever since I got into Bitcoin and crypto investment, I have only been scammed once and I have learnt a lesson from it and I’ve sworn to myself that such will never happen. I won’t fall into their stupid trap ever again. This time around I don’t just rush into ICO investment without making a thorough research about and also asking others that are already into it (if there are) what it looks and whether it’s legit. There are lots of things I verify before getting into ICOs.
It is very important, because it is a matter of money and you should invest your money sensibly because there is no space for losing for small investors. For me the best option is Ethereum because the growth is normal. There is no big pump and dump in the price and investors are relaxed with their investment. Although it will take long time to grow more but the percentage of losing is about 0.
If you are not the research guy. I mean you are tired of getting search what you are investing you can just deposit some of your money in some exchangers and do the trading well you must have a knowledge in trading atleast a little. Otherwise you will just get loss like investing in some projects that you don't know or not research.
This is our risk in the world of cryptocurrency, many ico are scam and just cheat us.But we also make a lot of money from ico, that's fair in my opinion. Take the positive side saja.dan always be careful in choosing.

? Well there are no choices for that. Both are money-thirsty. Those people that are looking for good returns without even getting time to investigate where they're planning to throw their money at. And these scammy projects that thinks that they could really get away with these money they got until government plans into regulating all these ICOs soon. Now that scams are being reported in media, we are pushing ourselves to the edge of bans of cryptocurrency because we're continuing to feed these people without any precautionary measures or guidelines or even standards.
The problem is that their actions affect to us all, if only the scammers and all of those that are irresponsible with their money were the ones affected then we will not mind, but it turns out that all the people that have invested in cryptocurrencies are now affected because of their actions, this is why many legitimate icos are having problems raising money to try to make their project a reality because now they need to ask for your identity and many people do not want to give those documents to them. ? Well there are no choices for that. Both are money-thirsty. Those people that are looking for good returns without even getting time to investigate where they're planning to throw their money at. Of course, there are many cases of fraud in the cryptocurrency market. That's not surprising. As for the detailed study of each ICO concerns, it is certainly necessary. But even such a study does not guarantee you that this ICO will not be a fraud.

That's why you need to be careful and make a lot of searching and study about a certain projects. Investing is not as easy as you think because there are many factors you need to be considered. What you said is correct but this not only apply for newbie but also for regular trader or investors also because in this way the buying price will be averaged if the goes down after buying so this way buying price will be averaged

Investing in any kind of business the risk is always there. If you like to invest in some ICO's better do some research about the project. So that you will not get scam. Pick a project that has low and realistic hard cap. Because surely if the project is good then they will reached the hard cap and it's good for the project and investors.
often times we are reminded to be extra careful in investing but still often times too there are people victimized by scammer...but if you are a resourceful person and knowledgeable enough before investing, no one will become a victim.
The only possible way because of which you will be able to make more money in the future is to make a wise decision and that investing your money at the right place. If you will not make any good decision and that you will invest at place which can hardly bring anything good for you, then you will only regret of what you have decided and that you will be left with nothing in your hand.
