I haven't read the whitepaper. I was so caught up with chasing bitcoin and trading altcoins. But I will read it soon. Thanks OP for this post.

The revolution will be monetized!
It was reading the whitepaper that brought me here in 2010. It should be considered a must read for all users. The whitepaper IS bitcoin. Everything else is just an idea based on this document.

It's in my sig if your looking for a link. (The gospel according to Satoshi - https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf)

Hey everyone. I'm just wondering how many of you actually have read the Bitcoin whitepaper in details. As a Hero member of Bitcointalk, I am ashamed to say that I have not read the Bitcoin whitepaper yet - not even scan through it.

I think I will spare sometime this week to read the Bitcoin whitepaper so that I can understand Bitcoin in detail - most of my knowledge (if not all) about Bitcoin come from Bitcointalk discussions.

Click here for the original whitepaper.
And here for a list of translations.

To be honest,Actually not.Even this is my first time to see bitcoin whitepaper but heard in near past. After seeing this it can be said that i've quite much knowledge about the whitepaper earlier although bitcoin whitepaper pretty much long so it kind difficult to read out in my or our busy life.
But i will try in my best effort to read it out as soon as possible.

I have read it but I also admit that I dont fully understand all of whats written. Its been awhile since I looked it over and maybe I'd understand more now that Ive been involved with bitcoin for a number of years. I'll have to dig it up again...

Back from the Dead!
Actually read the original by Satoshi! Also planning to read out some other ones out there that are available on google scholar. Hoping to get more information about bitcoins in general, but still most of my knowledge is from BitcoinTalk. The paper is more focused on technical knowledge, which is quite useful, but a bit hard to understand.

Why won't I read whitepaper of a project, it says alot about the project and also the the developers. Most people don't read whitepaper and this is even common in Altcoins ICOs and invest into a project blindly without having any knowledge about the project they are investing into

Same here, and if you ask me to be honest about this then i also did not read the whitepaper like you, but i'm not ashamed of that because i already know how to use bitcoin and what bitcoin is or how i can earn it, so i don't think there are any other things i importantly need to know, though it is always better to have more knowledge about something.

i didn't but i can find many useful information here anyway, going very depth with the knowledge about bitcoin is not what i'm looking for, and many other tech niewbie think the same, i'm just grasping a little what it's needed from the tech of bitcoin, i think is enough

To tell the truth I saved the file whitepaper.pdf several months ago on my desktop, and I even opened it once since and read a half of the first page, but then I was distracted by something, and I haven't opened the file since. I know that's a shame.

this was the first time that I read that thing called white paper made by satoshi nakamoto and I was surprised to see that there was a figure on the PDF where they used C Language and I realized how really astounding the bitcoin because they are conducting a complicated calculation using a complicated mathematical formula Grin maybe I will continue to read whenever I am not so much stressed Grin

I've read the whitepaper, well I tried to atleast  Grin
I understood most of it but when it got to the complicated stuff like Merkle tree's and hashes on top of hashes I couldn't understand much of it, I think I got the basic gist of it though.

I've read the whitepaper a couple of times. Im not gonna lie, some of the most complex math stuff is too much for me, but I understand the concept. It's also very notable to realize how Adam Back is credited in the whitepaper by satoshi. I think Adam Back or one of the early core devs is satoshi nakamoto or was part of the "satoshi nakamoto" team so to speak. The anti core people is so stupid because they don't realize this fact. Sure Gavin could have been part too but he is a disaster as we have seen lately, he got scammed by Craig Wright, guy is just not very bright or he is a sold out part of the scam.

I was explaining bitcoin to someone and he raised questions I cannot answer. So I read the whitepaper, and guess what, I can explain it better to him. It is a good read for anyone involve in bitcoin.

I read it yesterday the full document, but I don't understand everything. The most difficult par for me to understand is the explication with the mathematic converted with a c program code. You need to have study advanced mathematic to interpret the signification, but overall from my point of view this document will make history.

Yes, I have read it from top to bottom, but I am a avid book worm.. so this is not any effort for me. I have not read it for a while.. so I am

just going to read it again, for the heck of it.  Grin .... You not a total Bitcoin fanatic, if you cannot quote from the Whitepaper.  Roll Eyes ... Just take,

some time, and read the damn thing.  Wink

Too Weird to Live. Too Rare to Die...
I tried reading it in the beginning when I started with bitcoin, but at that time lots of things weren't clear to me so I stopped after the first page . Maybe I should try reading it again since I now have a little more knowledge.

bitcoin whitepaper was one of the first things that i have read back in the days i was a newbie in bitcoin and was getting to know it all better. it is not the most informative thing to read though!

i prefer to read the bitcoin wiki for a more detailed information about bitcoin.
I think it's for people who would be interested in knowing how bitcoin ecosystem works scientifically. And I wouldn't really recommend it for newbies, though. They won't understand bitcoin as if they read its introduction on its official website Bitcoin.org.

To be honest, I'm still new to bitcoin world (just 2 months old), so I didn't know what whitepaper is. I'm glad that you pointed that whitepaper out (kept seeing the word "whitepaper" here on posts but didn't know what it is). So I think I will read it carefully because I love knowing everything about bitcoin even if it has some scientifically complicated mathematics (it's not that hard, is it?) Grin Grin.
