if bitcoin is a scam then why is it still around today and its still coveted by many people? That's because bitcoin can be trusted and can be used properly. let's say we have had failures from bitcoin investments, but that does not mean bitcoin itself is a scam. if we look at the development of bitcoin from its inception until now then we will know why the price of bitcoin is now getting higher and many new altcoins are popping up on the market, it's because at this time crypto is something that is profitable and also useful.

What's the point of saying this if I don't think so? At least during the time that I have been working in this industry, I was able to get quite a good result of work.

It's been well proven not to be a scam. I already wrote about it in my book, it's about meeting the qualifications of what a currency is. A unit of account, a medium of exchange and a store of value. One day far off in the future after trillions of the globe's currency supply is put online and stored. Sounds like something I would have said before but now it's possible. The question is will bitcoin be replaced. I don't think it will.

They are connecting it on scams that do happens in the market specially with those ponzi and other investment that do offer high returns and bitcoin was the main payment for those which means noobs could really have
that kind of normal expression on where tagging or generalizing that bitcoin is a scam.If it was indeed a scam in the first place then it wouldnt really last a decade and that alone proves out that
this is something not really that connected and just an online currency that had been used same as fiat but all of those frauds and scams do normally exist.

Noobs simply don't understand how Bitcoin works. Just because someone else scams people with Bitcoin, doesn't mean the cryptocurrency itself is a fraud. The same can be said about Fiat. Bitcoin empowers anyone to take control of their financial lives without restrictions or limitations whatsoever. It's decentralized, meaning no single entity or third-party can benefit from it. Everyone can have a say in the future direction of the project. Those who say Bitcoin is a scam are nothing more than haters or ignorant people who don't know what they're talking about. It doesn't matter what someone else says about Bitcoin, as long as it work as intended. The pioneer cryptocurrency has been doing fine since 2009, so it's likely it'll last for generations. As long as it stays true to its roots, we'll have nothing to worry about. Just my opinion Smiley

If Bitcoin is a scam, I will sell the coins in my hand as soon as possible. I believe that anyone will do so, because no one wants to believe in a scam, unless very few people do it!

Many newbies don't understand but bitcoin is not a scam but there are many ponzi schemes which are based on bitcoin and they are a scam. We should avoid those scam investment plans.
Investing directly in bitcoin is never a scam, rather it could be the best investment ever.

It's a currency and can't really be a scam at all. Real money is just paper that people believe in and place value. If tomorrow everyone in the world agreed to forsake the dollar (it would of course not happen) then dollar would have no power since no one will accept it. The same can be said for gold, after all, it's just a stone that's very abundant and doesn't have that many actual practical uses. Same goes for other stones like diamonds or pearls. That's why bitcoin has so much potential since no one can really stop it.

Anyone can determine Bitcoin's future path by participating in a decentralized network without third-parties. How can people say Bitcoin is a scam this way? This is nothing more than an attempt to spread FUD in order to stifle Bitcoin's mainstream adoption. Believe me, those who say Bitcoin is a scam don't truly know what it's all about. Either they hate Bitcoin or simply don't understand how it works. Bitcoin's been doing fine even with mainstream criticism, largely because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant nature. As long as Bitcoin stays true to its roots, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin

Well, it's all semantics if you want to call decentralisation a scam. And depending on your intentions and what you hope to gain from it, with implementation still in infancy and much to improve in many areas, like all experiments, social, mathematical, ideological, financial, it may or it may not work. If a scam in its simplest terms mean that BTC goes to zero, or in a more complex way, its creators never meant for it to succeed, then all these possibilities aren't non-existent. We all can believe what we want, but that doesn't make any possibility any more, or less, real.

Love these threads waking up after a year of bullish moves. Bitcoin. When using it as a method of sending money, or value, I see it as less risky than others, cheaper, and less restrictive.

But instead of wondering if it's a scam or not, here's a simpler way to approach Bitcoin when looking at it as investment: assume it has as much chance to fail as it has to succeed, same like any other financial instrument. And unlike a conventional scam, there isn't one entity capable of pulling the rug out from under you, so you're actually diversifying your risk by choosing Bitcoin (in addition to other forms of investment).

Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
Let's say its scam we know today so how long we have time until it collpse?
Just humble speculation Let's play out the worse case scenario hope for the best prepare for the worse!
it's a joke of people who don't know the conditions of the crypto market.  they say it's a scam, scammer and others.  I think it has no effect on anything.  because there are more people who believe in bitcoin than those who don't like bitcoin
maybe because the market situation they are facing is different from the bitcoin market now. it's all because he made this thread in November 2020 which means the current state of the market is not better than now. I guess he regretted it after seeing the current market. Bitcoin will always be hype and people who say scams are people who fail to take profit of the crypto market
apart from that, there will certainly be many people who abuse their right of opinion when talking about speculation. it is true that there is no prohibition against this, but of course speculation must be accompanied by data and facts.
when they say it's a scam just because they saw a small correction happening today I don't think it makes sense to the results received during the increase from year to year.
when you look at the bitcoin chart in longer TF, it is clear from year to year that the increase continues to occur, then where is the scam? Smiley

Bitcoin will not be a scam, this setting is not established! We cannot promote the impossible to affect everyone's mood. This is really bad. We should have enough confidence to hold Bitcoin. If you choose Bitcoin, you should trust him. It's not about researching hypotheses that don't make sense.

I remember way back in year 2018, it has similar topic like this in Bitcoin discussion. Since I was a newbie that time I did gave time to read each conversation to learn about Bitcoin and how it works. I believed that it was not l, that is why until now I am here. I might not be successful because there were times that I have to focus on my career plus this pandemic made it hard the most for workers like me to report to duty but still, I am still holding into my beliefs that Bitcoin is real and not a scam. Anyways, even though I stopped for a meanwhile in working with bitcoin, it let me experienced the rewards for my hard work for 2 year in doing so.. What did I do to those reward? Ofcourse, I shared it to my family and now that I have time and more energy to live, I'm here again! Alive and kicking and still believes that Bitcoin is not a Scam.

A scam is probably not a suitable term for Bitcoin - there is no dishonest scheme with malicious intent from those who are behind the technology.

I don't think Bitcoin will collapse, but rather will lose its popularity. Now, Bitcoin is more of an asset than a currency, like a collectible. It is worth what other people are willing to pay for it. Like Beanie babies or fine art.

It has fundamental issues that make it difficult to be adapted as currency (those "issues" are seen as "advantages" by many). If Bitcoin proves difficult to be adopted by a large portion of population, it will start dwindling down until forgotten by most.

It will still be used for transactions that people want to keep hidden from the authorities. I'd speculate this will happen in 10-15 years.

Bitcoin is definitely NOT a scam. There's no single entity behind it after all. With decentralization, everyone benefits in the long run. Those who say Bitcoin is a scam are nothing more than haters or people who don't understand what Bitcoin is all about. It's been 12 years since Bitcoin's inception, and it's still going strong as sound money anyone can use worldwide. Blockchain technology at its core is truly a work of art. How people make use of that technology is another story. Bitcoin may not be a scam, but it's possible to scam other people with it. What matters is decentralization and censorship-resistance. As long as Bitcoin stays true to its roots, it'll last a lifetime. Just my thoughts Grin

... because demand is there and you could see on how big the community is that do support this coin.

It is not directed at Bitcoin but...

Collectible vinyl records, Beanie Babies, comic books, Hess trucks, post stamps, Coca-Cola memorabilia, and many others once also were solid investments, some of which lasted for many decades.

Just because many people believe in something - doesn't mean it is always be around.

Scam could only be tagged up into those activities that surrounds on bitcoin market on where it is been mainly used for those criminals on making use of its anonymity feature which it is really sad
but cant really be avoided this kind of reality on where people would really be taking some advantage on regarding with this but talking about bitcoin on being directly as a scam isnt really that
appropriate or doesnt really fit out because demand is there and you could see on how big the community is that do support this coin.

If bitcoin is a scam, bitcoin will not exist until now and gain trust from us. Bitcoin can not survive and the price will not be reached to $64k. No one will even use bitcoin after they know bitcoin is a scam and will leave it right away. Perhaps, we will not see bitcoin can give us profit instead of stealing our money. Bitcoin will have time to grow more than today and once that time comes, people will see that they are late to join in bitcoin.
