In the past, I also was frequently looking for Bitcoin critics as to balance my overbullishness on Bitcoin; and trust me when I say this — the more you dig, the more BS and ad hominem attacks you see thrown at Bitcoin. The only valid criticisms I see a lot are the likes of "bitcoin is hard to use" and the "bitcoin is slow and expensive" criticisms, whereas these can be easily fixed by further innovation.
valid criticism as you mean is a criticism that is more towards the technical direction of bitcoin and it will turn into a positive criticism for the development of bitcoin.
some critics who only criticize bitcoin in terms of the legality of bitcoin, bitcoin is not valuable and the like is just a criticism without any good feedback. and predictably they only criticize the negative things in bitcoin with the aim of dropping and spreading FUD on bitcoin. Some stories are made with manipulative purposes.

When something is strong enough, people always like to find its weak points to attack it. Value is what people assign. If you feel this currency has value, then it has value. No matter how much you talk to people who don't believe it has value, you can't change the views of those who don't believe it.

It doesn't matter how many lies are created about BTC or how many criticisms are generated, the important thing is that people talk about BTC, whether good or bad, that is something productive for the market, somehow people will seek the truth, and those who don't believe that BTC can be the way out to a much better financial life than the traditional one, when BTC rises above $100k then they will believe and want to enter, the important thing is that they talk, discuss BTC, I think that by achieving that, you are already winning. Don't you see it that way? The human being is to see, to touch to believe.

You will always find criticism for something that creates hype around in the market and can change the old perceptions and btc was among them.It was first decentralised crypto and it took lot of years for people to understand it completely. This zero or crash are very much common topics which can be easily ignored now.But i also think now Russia is becoming the china topic as they have been out of the scene so now these news follow the trend but btc will progress despite any of these things so you will see it.

It’s not new to see criticism of something that is climbing the ladder. It’s natural and if you think it’s worth it, go ahead with it. Don’t bother what others have to say about something you believe in.
It is the climbing that will be attacked because it is worth an act , critics will keep increasing when you are in the momentum so lets be proud of what bitcoin is having these days. LIES? of course many will create their own just to bring bitcoin down but over the years? more than 13 years now? what do they got?
nothing but instead bitcoin made its climb to the top just recently .

We should not condemned articles even though the thread or the article is stupid and foolish because such articles pass information to someone.

According to T.S. Eliot. A poet wrote a poem title "Waste Land".

Readers were condemning this poem until the experts explain the poem to the understanding level of the average readers then they came to understand the poem. Anything that is not progressive is a waste...

So before you condemned articles find out why, the of the person writing the article.

So according to you even a misleading article can be good because it passes information to someone. If You ask me for directions to the nearest restaurant and I lead you the wrong way, will it be all right? I've passed some information to you, so that must count as something, right? On the other hand if it's bitcoin that is misunderstood not the article, the author should've done some more research. When I lack knowledge of the subject I tend to ask questions instead of giving statements.

just ignore his words....Mr. Buffet is not aware of the potential of bitcoin, he's just trying to wash people's minds and lead opinion to his ulterior motive.  i admit i am quite amazed by Mr. Buffett because of his expertise in raising Berkshire Hathaway but he has empty knowledge of Bitcoin.
There's no man on this world had the pinnacle of knowledge on whatever form of investment that might exist and its true that even if you are known billionaire or economist or something in connects but
that wont be enough to presume out that you would know everything and thats why every person do come up with different ideas and conceptions about things whether it turns out
to be true or totally opposite but to those who do know about it will definitely be continue to support no matter what.
as long as that person has an open mind then i'm sure the billionaire will have a broad seeing of things out there.  bitcoin is not something that can be understood in 1 or 2 days, mr buffet must have never tried to explore the potential of bitcoin so he does not consider bitcoin as a profitable investment.
We dont even know if they have been accumulating silently but decided to look themselves as haters of bitcoin. It is really just impossible to think off that billionaires would not be thinking about the

possible benefits that they could get whenever they do tend to step their foot into Bitcoin.Well, not all would be having the same impression on which there would be someone who would tend to

stick on thing on which he had been used to through ages. This is which these negative sentiments would come out neither a total lie or does have some several points.

There's possibility that indeed some of them are accumulating silently and they will only disclose if they feel it is the right time for them to go public. Anyway, it is not your obligation to tell the public that you are heavily invested on crypto. We should mind our business and not worry about what others are doing on their funds.  For sure, Mr. Buffet read about bitcoin or crypto, he for sure wants to know this new currency before giving a statement. But maybe he has different perspectives when it comes to crypto.
As stomachgrowls said which no one really knows until the time that they do make out some public announcement or making some positive words towards bitcoin on which on the behavior
on being bearish, he do becomes bullish which people do see some change of hearts and perception which do really ends up neither the community would really be believing on such
scenario or would just simply ignore them because it is an obvious manipulative kind of act.

I think of late the hype on Bitcoin are starting to closely match the hate, critics and disdain on Bitcoin, after 2021 Early in the year success so many critics had to swallow their words and turn around. Although critics would always exist I don't think their era is active because all bitcoins success is everywhere now even countries are adopting it.

Some people write to earn a living, whether they are writing the truth or lies will be determine by their readers. Some people are paid to write bad about a particular project and they will do that without thinking second time.
Some people don't have knowledge of bitcoin but they write from their ignorance. Because we are here in this forum and have some knowledge, there are people that don't know the simple things about bitcoin but they will be spreading FUD.
This is so much true, some journalist or activists or whatever they call themselves, whenever they are out of content for their blog, they will tend to write rubbish to get paid. I have read the article for and discover many lies that is in it. It can also be that some big players in the industry is paying this bloggers to write fear into people so that Bitcoin will crash and give them opportunity to buy at low. This crypto market is just like a game, everyone plays to win and they invite all types of skill positive and negative to win the game for themselves even if at the expense of people.

I think that sometimes ignorance has no limits and sometimes the body suffers, but in reality I did not tell that lady much out of respect, besides that she is a woman and well, one respects, but I let her know that there is no antichrist there, that those things have nothing to do with it, besides it is an inexpensive technology.

But I am sure that there are many people like her, and above all it is the elderly population, they are people who do not accept that money can be digital and through a currency.

Most of the time, these journalists are afraid to face changes and so they always stick with what people are used to do, even if its already beyond the facts. And bitcoin is one of those new innovations that have always received negative critics because people are still focused on fiat when in fact bitcoin is here to offer more convenience and creates more financial security and freedom.

Much much better than Forbes.

nowadays even TV channels talk well about bitcoin so you see few cases in which people talk bad about bitcoin, in my opinion even anywhere you can find good information about the technical aspects of bitcoin the biggest problem is in the question of bitcoin price speculation, this is where the danger lives, many people like to post price predictions that are illusory and very optimistic that even 1% are not materialized

I still think yes here and there you can find good topics and good information,,, but the "problem" is people do not go to Google to find out about Bitcoin. They are sitting down somewhere surfing and then a headline like that pops to them or is shared around. I think when people really search, they can find good things. But imagine you are reading Forbes thinking maybe you find something new about finance and you read paid articles giving wrong info.

Medium's a platform where anyone can write what they believe, and their audience can react to that. Given that it's basically a place with personal blogs, it's not surprising that it has both good and bad articles of varying quality. That's why I usually don't read Medium articles. But what's interesting is that even reputable media like Forbes can sometimes publish misleading information (not false, but manipulative) about cryptos, focusing a lot on sudden significant drops, and not balancing it out with info about the growth of Bitcoin over the years or how many times such drops happened before and were followed by successful recoveries.

More bad than good nowadays,,, but yes, it seems you have to curate your own reading lists at all these sites if you want a good platform for good reading material.

Personally I think the good writers left Medium and went to Substack,,, most of them have a paid service you can subscribe to but following the free content is good enough.

Much much better than Forbes.

Anyone can have a platform where "anyone can write what they believe, and their audience can react to that". That really means nothing. Even the mass media can write whatever they want and we would believe and react to that. Why? Because the writers write whatever they want anyway. As long as they get readers and viewers, thats all they really care about.

Its important to look at the sources. If there are no sources, there is no need to keep reading. Thats the philosophy that I go by.

Thanks for your post here, always interesting to see the other side of things. One things I’ve come to get used to is that anyone can publish and article factual or not and there’s almost always no repercussions for it. These days integrity within journalism seems to be a lost art sadly.

There is no need for you to be blaming medium.com, rather you should blame whoever has written that article which you have read. Medium is like an open space and people are free to write about whatever they wish to write, so it’s possible that there are also going to be writers and editors who do not know or have the same opinion about cryptocurrency such as you have, so there will always write something about cryptocurrency that would oppose or conflict with your own opinion.

I don’t see it as something that you should be getting angry or p*ssing yourself over, if you just see an article you don’t like, it is best for you to pass and move on.

Criticism is unavoidable and will continue to exist. Bitcoin is condemned as a highly volatile cryptocurrency by the critics. And sometimes it is also characterised as a speculative bubble by some investors and economists.

The pros and cons of course will still be there, some of us who are pros of course will try to say that bitcoin is an inseparable part of the future, but those who are refuse and against the progress of the times will of course say bad things about bitcoin, I think if we continue to argue about it of course it will only waste the energy we have, and it is better for us to focus on something that we really think is right and can give us an advantage.
