FUN > ROI
The price point on Hashra is what makes them appealing to me.

Yeah, I'm a wee bit confused by that.  Assuming the LA6M is indeed twice as fast as the LA3M, and not a larger factor, then...
GRIDSEED 3+ MH/S ASIC SCRYPT & SHA MINER: $2,285
x2 = $4,570
GRIDSEED 6+ MH/S ASIC SCRYPT & SHA MINER: $4,565

For $5 more you get redundancy and better resale value, at the cost of needing an additional power supply, port, space, etc.

But even that's not so bad since they have a complete package:
GRIDSEED 3+ MH/S SCRYPT & SHA MINER (Including PSU & Accessories): $2,425
x2 = $4,850
GRIDSEED 6+ MH/S SCRYPT & SHA MINER (Including PSU & Accessories): $4,835

Not seeing great incentive to get the LA6M instead of 2xLA3M.  Must be missing something obvious - skewed shipping costs?

We must become the pitiless censors of ourselves.
Hashra seems to be at a much better price point. Also interested in the legitimacy of that site. Keep us up to date.

+1 regarding reservations about site, but heartened by the fact that they waited until they could ensure stock...

We shall see...

Well after all the crap people are putting up with asiabtc, I started looking elsewhere. I just bought the 6mh bundle from Hashra (link). Their website seems much more professional than lightningasic and is also in English. The photos of their kit looks well organized.

Paid by credit card. $4980 after shipping. It was much cheaper than anyone selling them, so hopefully they are legit. Guess I'll know in a couple weeks. I immediately received a confirmation email with an order number.

Same here... got the heads up email since I registered for updates a couple weeks ago..

I dont get (enough) warm fuzzy with this reseller thus why I went thru hashra

we shall see

Yeah thinking of going with hashra, but also user Atari shipping out of aus for 2550 with total kit.

Did hashra give you a turnaround?

From the email update this morning:

Quote
With regards to shipping times for units this does depend on some part on how you pay for your units. We only ever ship out units once payment has been verified and confirmed by us and the verification time is different for different payment methods. Please see our payments page for more details: hashra.com/payments. Obviously the quickest way to receive your Gridseeds is to pay with Bitcoin.
We expect all shipments to go out within 7 days of payment being verified though due to the very high demand right now for this unit please allow up to 14 days though this really is worst case scenario.

Will see how it goes..

The price point on Hashra is what makes them appealing to me.  I'd like to hear from at least 1 or 2 persons first who can confirm they got their orders and what their experience was like.

Dhl tracking still says "shipment information received", which means that they don't actually have the package.

Jack said 2 things:
1) the units would be shipped before feb 20, otherwise he would give a refund.
2) the units thanks to a phantomatic would be able to hash at 500khash

None of them turned out to be true, and those were the reasons that made me order this things

Same situation here as well .

would anyone happent o know where I can get a spare power cable for the Regulated Switching Power Supply. THey sent me regular computer cables, but not the kind that has the casing striped and works for this power supply. I asked Jack, but I'm hoping there is a quick fix here in the states if its only a few bucks or so.

It kind of looks like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-Silver/dp/B007KG0ZYI/ref=pd_ybh_11

and says model pyr-spb0360s12

Just cut the cord that Jack provided.

Q: If I place an order now, when will I get my order?
A: This depends on your payment method. All shipments are dispatched after payment has been verified.
Payment verification time frame is as follows:
Bank Cash Deposit: 24 Hours
Bank Wire Transfer: 24 Hours – 5 days (International up to 5 days)
Bitcoin: 24 Hours
Credit / Debit Card: 3 – 7 days
Please note paying by Credit / Debit card is the longest payment verification time for fraud prevention. All card transactions are verified with Stripe.com
Delivery will always be sent out after any payment has been verified.
Expected maximum amount of time from any payment verification date to arrival of Miner is 14 days.

FYI - I had a couple units stop mining on me this morning.  I tried restarting them through the interface which didn't work, I tried unplugging and replugging the power supplies and that didn't work.

The fix was simple though.  I flipped the USB hub power switch off and then back on and everything was working fine again.  I'm using the controllers.

i tried with a USB cable all the same

In this video, you did not plug in the 12 volts. Also, you need to refresh the Dashboard screen.

Did you test one miner at a time? Same power cord and USB cord with each?

Did you check the polarity of every 12 volt plug to make sure they were all wired correctly?

I asked before on this thread but after searching all over I still can't find any solutions to my high power issue when only mining scrypt coins, connected to windows 7 and not the TP-Link controller ( as I only have one unit and no controller ).  Using the custom CPUminer the BTC cores are idle so I am using 56 watts only mining scrypt.  Anyone else connected with windows figure out hot to fix this?

As I understand it, the windows version does NOT turn off the BTC core. So it is on, but not mining, hence the additional power draw.

Using the controller, mining LTC only at 800 MHz, the power draw at the wall for 5 miners is .26 amps at 120 volts, or 31 watts. That works out to 6.24 watts per miner. Assuming the PSU is 80% efficient, then that works out to about 5 watts per miner.

Has anyone been able to log into their controllers via SSH? I am a little irritated that they've locked us out of equipment we've purchased, which we SHOULD be able to log into, ourselves. I don't want to have to wait until I can somehow hear from Jack or one of his technicians to solve an issue...I'll be waiting forever.

Is it possible the USB hub has a few bad ports or is in some other way defective?  Try switching the "good wires" (USB & power) from a working miner with those on a non-working one.

Also, try this:

1. Unplug power cable from TP-Link controller
2. Turn off the USB hub switch (or unplug the hub from the controller)
3. Remove all the USB cables from the hub except 1 of them
4. Plug in the TP-Links power cable
5. Allow the controller to start up and "settle" a bit (~2mins or so)
6. Make sure the controller dashboard shows no devices connected and says something about connecting a USB hub
7. Flip the power switch on the USB hub so now the 1 miner is connected to the controller
8. REfresh the Dashboard to see the 1 miner show up
9. Wait to let that 1 miner start hashing away
10. Next, plug in the remaining miners 1 by 1...about 1 min apart from each other

I did the above and it seemed to be the "right" way for my particular controller/miners to get up and running.  I found that if you power up the controller with all the miners connected it just sits there and does nothing.

Hope this helps, if not, well, I'm really sorry but that's the only suggestions I've got for you.  Embarrassed  The only other recourse I see is trying to get a hold of Jack on skype and asking him to get you one of his tech support guys to help.

Edit:  Incidentally a few of us have setup a dedicated discussion thread on tech support for these over here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477709.0;topicseen).  This allows us to keep this thread on track for purchases/sales/shipping/etc.

my LA3M is always offline...why??

What's 1:4 in your worker's name?

Do you have 10 different workers in the Worker's Name list separated by commas?

Example:

login.wk1, login.wk2, etc... up to 10.

Use the 1 password for all.

What usb hub are you using? A orico, unitek or xipolar or something else?

I didn't realize this but its very subtle. In the instructions it says you have to also fill out the bitcoin fields (with fake stuff just click off the enable button) then it should work atleast it did for me.
