The value of LISK on the long run will depend only on how much demand there is for it.

A fully functional LISK with delayed launch is better than an imminent launch of a faulty LISK.

I agree that is better to wait more for better quality then to hurry with launching. For long run everyone knows what is better to do. Launching is for one month, I don't think we can see much higher price after that happen. Between 1.5 $ and 3.5 $ for opening and couple days after. I think Lisk can grow after so I will keep my little amount a bit longer then that for sure.
1.5 $ and 3.5 $ is too optimistic.
may be max $0.75

Yeah if they have further problems and have to postpone say for another month after that thou...would be 'catastrophic' imho Sad

I have 1 btc in this so...hardly a big deal but perception that you can't even nail down a date and may 24th would be almost 2 months late

from original timeline.....well to say that would suck and muck up their 'successful lisk' plans out of the dock would be an understatement Sad

They had better nail it down tight and it works on that date or folk will pass this project by....as 'amateur hour' ) and a big 'ho hum' if when they ever did launch....

This has always been a concern that they could not get a decent enough team in place fast enough for the project..this would just 'fan the flames' that this

was true (even if it was not that again imho would be the 'perception')

On the greater fool theory I have purchased some Lisk.  Hopefully I'm not going to turn out to be the greater fool--but if i am I didn't bet big.  Just some sig campaign earnings.

You mean on yobit? I'd sell it for a small profit as fast as possible, if I were you. What creeps me out is the one big buy every 24 hours. You can see it on the 7 day chart: nearly always at the same time, one big buy in the 30-50 btc range, but, interestingly enough, not a big price change. I don't know if it is yobit or someone from outside, buying their own Lisk IOU tokens to keep the volume up, but that looks fishy as hell.
It must be yobit trying to keep the volume up.

That's my suspicion as well. Doesn't necessarily have to be yobit, though.

Save the date, Lisk got an official launch date. Very interesting announcements and disclosures in the blog post.
Let's hope that the upgrade performed on the backend results in a more secure and fast platform.

The price of Lisk will be determined by the demand for Lisk. The demand will be determined by the value, real or perceived, of Lisk. As the crypto market starts to mature, the value of digital tokens will be determined by their utility. Speculators and investors will demand more of their digital tokens. Ethereum's price skyrocketed on the basis of perceived future value but the network has, so far, failed to deliver on utility. Ethereum may yet deliver, but so far there are zero useful and widely adopted distributed smart contracts running in their environment.

As such, I think the bar will be a bit higher for Lisk. Many will want to see functional dapps gaining in popularity before they're willing to put their money into Lisk. As the market matures, so will it's investors. Which is why I sincerely hope that Lisk put much of their ICO funds towards hiring top notch developers that are willing to put ideology aside in service of developing useful dAPPs.

There are 100 million LISK. If one LISK is worth $1 then all lisk are worth $100 million. I dont think that is a reasonable valuation.
If LISK takes off it will be much more than $1 per lisk.

Yea, but I don't see it taking off in that way unless the whole cryptocurrency sector goes bonkers. A market cap of $1 billion for Lisk is a lot more believable if the market cap of Bitcoin goes to (say) $20-$50 billion.

Yeah, but these comments don't mean anything...

"Yeah, if it replaces the dollar it will be worth a lot"... well, thanks.
Rather, what are the ODDS that we will see high valuations for LISK? That is a better question.

How do you ever hope to answer a question like that? The product isn't even launched yet, how is anyone going to estimate the probability of A, B, and C when we don't even know if that will really be the product-market fit or if it would be something completely different.

Too simplistic a statement. IF, big IF, this area of Dapps takes off and using Javascript can somehow be a part of things, LISK will go places. It is a great idea, let's see how they create, package and execute things.
What probability would you assign for Lisk to be say 10% of Ethereum's market cap?

Looks like lisk is well on its way to zero, which is its target price.

Gotta love it when people are creating new accounts just to bash LISK.

If you compare  LISK to any other cryptocurrency then I would agree with that assessment.  Lisk has way more to offer than other crypcurrencies .  Thinking about the forest not the tree.
