Memorycoin is not merely a clone... its the only coin that takes advantage of AES-NI instruction registers (did I say that right?) and it has payed elected officers. Memorycoin is also a very profitable cryptocurrency to mine with CPU at the time of writing.

I don't understand why Blakecoin is in "purgatory", it should be in  "other alternative" since blakecoin is not a clone. While it's based on bitcoin code, a lot was changed to make Blake-256 the core algo. Also the block reward system is unique, to my knowledge its the only alt-coin that is designed for the long term (hundreds of years). Although the block reward continues far into the future, the generation rate is slow enough to ensure scarcity. Blake is a substantial improvement over sha256 and scrypt, since it is more energy efficient, and is much faster at hashing which is beneficial due to the Law of Large numbers. Blakecoin is unique and addresses many of the shortcomings of previous crypto currencies, I understand that OP may not have had time to thoroughly research every coin, but if you learn more about Blakecoin you will see that it has great potential since it combines the best of bitcoin and litecoin while adding its own unique benefits. Yes Blakecoin is still quite new but the community is growing steadily.

yeah it is definitely in wrong section I and others have been working hard to make improvements over Bitcoin yet you stick it in the

THE PURGATORY
(many new clones)

What is it a pure Clone of  Huh

Why have you listed it there xorxor did I do something to offend you Shocked

Blake-256 was one of the finalists for SHA-3 and is a faster hashing algo than SHA-256D and it is fast on all platforms CPU/GPU/FPGA, SHA-3 is not an improvement as a mining hashing algo its slower than SHA-256D  Roll Eyes

Keccak is slow on all the main platforms(cpu/gpu/fpga) unless you have a custom Asic!

+1 for Blake. It so much more than what people realize.

Hello everybody,

regarding the list dicussed here you might be interested
on an table I put together, regarding a better overview on prices and capitalisation.

There are some other pages out there, but I was not happy with
the range of features you can get.

My motivation was:

- to have as much information on all relevant coins
- a way to order the table for each column
- to see if new coins are added on an exchange
(as the prices usually go up, if the coin is more widely available)

I put everything together here:

http://crypto-coins-table.com/

Have a look and let me know if you find the table usefull.

If there is a positive reaction, I plan to add further features.

Thanks for your feedback,
best Hans
