Interesting list thanks. Not a replacement for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins and Crypto-Currencies though.

This list predates the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins and Crypto-Currencies if I'm not mistaken.

Thats correct.    Elias started doing a Casascius-only online version, then I believe started considering doing a comprehensive physical book in April '15.  I believe I joined the project a year later.   But it still took a while until the Encyclopedia was published.

This list is also what got me started in collecting physical bitcoins.   I owe my thanks to the OP.

I was excited to have my coins included on the list when it was made.  It definitely felt like a bit of a turning point at the time.

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
Your right, not a replacement for the excellent book by Elias, but it does mention Bitbills which were the very first before Casascius.

I know Elias will be adding Bitbills to his new updated Encyclopedia in the near future.

I'm selling an Antaui Silver on eBay.  More details about it here on BTT:  At some point, I might post my recollections of that time.  Feel free to follow the thread.  I'll post more info closer to the end of the sale.

Hi all! Thought I’d share our coin to the list as well. Some on this forum have already purchased and waiting their dleivery now. It’s a buyer funded coin, gold plated (not solid gold) and it’s the only coin on the market with 2FA security password. So if it’s lost or stolen, it can’t be used without your password.

I'm going to try update the list here at some point so if anyone wants to update or add to the list of existing mints please can you post them to the thread and I'll get them added when I have a mo. Over the last year or so there have been lots of new mints popping up and I've not been able to keep track of all of them.

Even better if you have good quality photos of the coins, bars etc please post them here and I'll get them added.

Check people's lists as well. I know bithalo and Mitchell both have a thread on their coins that have some of the more obscure ones.
And Furio? also has a thread with some of this information.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Smiley

Good to see you back on this thread...No_2.  This list was my inspiration for getting started in collecting cryptos.

Here's my list as mentioned above.  Its mostly up-to-date.

Also elianite is publishing an encyclopedia that should be ready soon that will have almost all mints in pictures, descriptions and specs.  I'm providing assistance with it.

Really great list!

Physical cryptocurrency is fun to collect and  if they are made from real gold and silver, could become highly desirable in the future.

I know of a website that has just launched that is making cryptogift coins.

http://www.cryptogifts.io/

Some great designs and very good prices also.

personally, i think this list is pretty cool. but physical crypto currency is not accepted to trade in real market, which is the process we should go through

I regularly refer to this list when looking up info on physical crypto-coins.  Thought I'd give it a well deserved bump.
