To me, there is something to consider before saying an exchange is a top exchange, one of it is the user base, volume and security (although all exchanges aren't truly secured). Now, considering this, I can only name just few exchanges which I have used and believe they are worth it; Binance, Gate, Kucoin, Bitmax, Okex, Coinall and Huobi.

I think every investor has a different point of view and I'm sure not all investors have the same in choosing a coin, but you can predict it by looking at how the price and trading volume move from because usually Bitcoin has very high trust, many investors prefer it in bitcoin rather than altcoin.

Well this is a very complete list of exchanges for cryptocurrency even exchanges from all countries. But do all KYC have to withdraw funds?
No, this is only a small part like what you can find in the reference source that I have mentioned. There are many other exchanges that you can also find at CMC. Not all exchanges require participants to fill KYC, unless you exceed the daily withdrawal limit set.
There are many exchanges available for investors and traders to use to buy and sell digital currencies. I know many people have recommended it to you from various sources and personal experiences. But you must conduct due diligence on the exchange itself, chosing an exchange where the exchange provides a level of security, safety, privacy, and control over your funds and information. What is the top 10 exchanges which all the investors trust it? I wanna suggest you to Coinbase but there are few coin you can buy or trade. Binance, Okex and BIBOX I trust, if my list more increase then Bitmex, Bittrex, bithumb etc. Binance and Bittrex has more than 250 and 265 trading pair where you can buy and also trusted. Okex has more 400 pair. But you shouldn't follow top CMC lists because there has some fake volume exchange list like P2PB2B exchange.
In my own opinion, My list of top 10 exchange in the market are as follows:
1. Binance 2. Okex 3. Probit 4. Hotbit 5. Mercatox 6. Forkdelta 7. Bitfinex 8. Kucoin 9. Coinall 10. Gate
Nowadays, it is extremely hard to find good exchanges, and I would never trust ratings that were made by third party websites, especially coinmarketcap. I have five exchanges to share: Binance, Huobi, Okex, Gate.io and Kucoin.

For me https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges is providing the best list of the trusted exchange site with actual volume without the manipulation that created by the marketcap site itself. coingecko is better than CMC. There was a trust score method that can determine the best exchange site. You can get it on the cryptorank.io too. https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges That is a really good list. @sandra2010, check it out, I believe you will find something safe that works for you on the site. I would suggest you use any of the 1-20 or 1-100 exchanges. What is the top 10 exchanges which all the investors trust it? What is definition of our top exchange? Total volume of over all coin or top volume in BTC only because many big exchange don't offer altcoins or if ever they offer altcoins then it only few altcoins so comparing them with overall volume is quite bias. Let's assume top exchange in terms of BTC volume and number of organic user that trades in exchange. This is just my assumption: Top exchange that I trust are: 1-10.) Coinbase I don't trust other exchange volume such as Binance, Okex, Upbit, Huobi and Bittrex which most probably the top exchange that most user will recommend.
You can always check the site of CMC, but as far as I know, this site is manipulating volumes and is a paid site to advertise exchange that are unknown. So, be extra careful and don't put your trust easily on it. The best option I can giive you is coingecko.com .

I also trust this lists but there is only one that I have in doubt. Yobbit exchange has controversies and I don't think I ever trust something that has controversies related to them. Right now I'm fully using Binance and kucoin as my top exchange for the coins I hodl.
