Maybe you should say LTC has no future at all.

That is also true, yes.

If LTC has no future then tomorrow LTC will not exist as tomorrow is the future.

Right? lol  Grin

No wonder trading volume is huge, people trade shitcoins in LTC if their price is too low to be listed in BTC. One could say LTC has a bright future in shitcoin market.

But now we also have DRK, which is a huge and successful P&D. It "offers" more, developers don't just sit there and wait for ASICs to come, and for now it's more stable than LTC. People might finally ditch LTC and start trading shitcoins in DRK, who knows.

Really? Another thread about Litecoin?

There are already like 2-3, do we really need another one talking about "blah blah blah its dead"?
The reasons is the community hates LTC, for its: lies, false promises, arrogant community and inactive devs.

Ok please clarify or is it just another FUD one line post

1 - Lies - ??
2 - False Promises - ?
3 - Arrogant community -  Roll Eyes
4 - Inactive Developers - ?

Sorry for the low post count, I've been lurking since late 2012, you might know me as Leomon on btc-e.

There are some really great alts out there right now that have the potential to dethrone LTC (CRYPT, DRK) but at the moment, LTC has something that these other alts don't, it's the same thing BTC has.

It's going to take at least a year to pry LTC from the position of #2 coin in peoples minds, so I think if it can be called dying it's going to be a slow death.

Bitcoin itself as a currency will face the same problem at some stage, it's clearly the prototype for whatever coin we will use to pay for coffee in the future, but it would need a lot of changes to make either a viable currency.

Since people are using LTC, it isn't dead. It value might have decreased, but that doesn't mean it is dead.

Thank you! Someone sensible Smiley.

I would much rather know what are the incentives for the OP and other like him to continuously post about Litecoin being dead when its obviously not.

I won't say LTC is dead but things are not looking that interesting . Devs expected that LTC price will react same way as that of BTC after launch of ASICS but overall whole logic seems to be failing . I own few LTC and hope it will recover.

I don't own any litecoin, but I would also say that it has a lot of miners, more so than any of the other coins mentioned, and that makes it valuable.

So, having the 2nd largest network, it is silly to say it is "dead", but yeah, it is sinking.

Maybe you should say LTC has no future at all.

LTC has whatever future the devs want to make for it.  Unfortunately that doesn't look like much.

I agree, I used to be a litecoin supporter, but lack of work on the coin and no response from devs, seems like theyve given up on litecoin a while ago, its just a dead end from here.

I think it can be "officially" said, since it's value has only gotten Much lower, worse than Dogecoin's dropping value.

Litecoin is officially dead, why you may ask?

What Litecoin used to offer:

ASIC Resistance
GPU Resistance
2.5minute blocktime

What Litecoin now offers:
2.5minute blocktime

Basically, Litecoin is worth less than Blackcoin, Netcoin, OompaLoompaCoin, heck, practically anycoin that has a faster blocktime and Any other feature... Litecoin offers absolutely nothing over what 99% of these alt coins offers, even the worst alt coin offer more innovative features than Litecoin. And to those litecoin bagholders, who say that "Litecoins age and adoption" is something it offers, that's not true..There are NO reputable stores Worldwide that accept Litecoin, not one.

Verdict: Litecoin is dead, it hasn't been updated in years, it's a practically abandoned coin. I'm gonna feel really sorry to all the litecoin bagholders that are still "HODLING" when Litecoin reaches $1, 50 cents, 10 cents etc.
