It seems to me that in the near future such a sharp change in the price of LTC will not exactly happen. Of course, this is one of the old and popular coins with good potential for development in the future. But I do not think that this year LTC will be able to reach such a price. You may very well be correct however I believe Litecoin will be going down out of the top 100 instead of high flying. The project lead selling all his coins is a major red flag for me and caused me to sell all my holding. I put half of the proceeds in Bitcoin and the other half in Ethereum.
It is unlikely that Litecoin will show such a positive result this year. The maximum, I think it will be 150 - 250 USD. No more

I think that LTC is over $ 5000 in 2018 is not possible. With the current price of $ 54, LTC needs a lot of time to pass the $ 5,000 threshold

I don't think litecoin become that price for this year 2018. Because they increase only maybe more than 1000 dollars and 5000 dollars is possible to happen in the next few years if the ethereum become king and litecoin become ethereum.
Predictions and expectations always lead to disappointment. Do not expect, instead hope for the best. It's really difficult to calculate things here in cryptocurrency. Things changes so easily either for good or for bad.
