Some of the bets you just can't bet on live and are only available before the match begins like which player is going to make the most runs, total sixes in a match etc. So I'd say that every sports gambler bets both ways, live and before the match.

Not that mate, on sports book like bet365 and sometimes on cloudbet, you are able to bet on live-in-play sports on such events like sixes, runs in next over ad all. Yes, coin toss cant be done in play Tongue

Do you prefer live betting over pre-event betting? Would it depend on the sport you were betting on?

I like live betting more because sometimes game-changing events occur, and if I bet before the odds change accordingly, I get really good odds (compared to the chance of me winning). For example, in the fourth round match in the Aus Open between Zhang and Keys, I got very generous odds when Keys injured her legs before my sportsbook could change odds accordingly.

It depends on the type of sport, the current form of the team and the players. Sometimes it works but sometime you can be failed. I prefer live betting on sports only if both teams are equally strong and if its difficult to predict the result.

I mostly do betting on soccer matches so the pre match prediction can't be always right prediction as lots of factor can effect on what way game result will go. So i prefer live betting rather than pre match betting. And also during live match, we can get higher odds if on start the strong team get back by some goals.

I normally just bet before a game starts, if I'm going to take the time to research the games I wanna get the best odds possible if I'm going to make a bet. There can be money to be made on live offerings but a few times I have started to try and hedge what I think is a losing bet, that turns out to have won. Meaning my first bet was right and my live bets are wrong. I would rather go with my gut & research and just let the match ride. When live bets are profitable for me is when I back my original bet with more btc.

I prefer a bet pre-match, especially the great odds and secondly I'm quite busy if it should follow the course of the match

I guess it depends on what sport. For example, football is very popular.
I think there is a lot gambled on live football.
But that applies to multiple sports, I think.

My biggest wins have came from Live betting so for that reason I do prefer Live betting over pre-match. I do however bet more pre-match.

I prefer pre-match betting cause the odds is higher than live betting, and i will do some arbitrages if my pre-match betting will be lost, so i will have chance to keep my principal, which is the key of sports betting. if my pre-match bets go well during the match, i won't do arbitrages cause i can make profits as more as possible.

Unless you have a bot and a big bankroll arbitrage to any kind of value is next to impossible in my experience. You prefer pre match because of bigger odds? That isn't always true, when the game starts the odds can change massively in your favor over pre match if the other team or player gives a surprise or two.

Depends on the sport as well as the game, and many other factors. If I can't get access to a reasonable amount of stats and information about either team playing, that's a sign for me to stay way. I must admit, I am a big fan of in play live bets. You can win a whole lot of money this way. And of course, it's really fun to watch a game, and then place a few in plays.

I like both but I prefer to put bets before the start of the event as I don't normally have the time to live bet. Also, you can't make parlay bets live, which is why I bet on them prior to start.

I like live betting more, you have more control over your own efforts
Of course there is always a risk and there is always money in the game you can lose.
But it also lies at the odds you have.

what said is perfect i myself most of the times go for live inplay betting and the games like barcelona , arsenal and other big teams if you bet live inplay you get more better odds to bet then offline or pre match bet. and not only soccer , cricket and other sports also you get good odds to bet on live inplay.

i like both ways of betting on sports.

but in most of the times i only do pre-event betting, because i don't have time to follow up with the whole match and it is better to put my bet down before it all starts and be done with it.

but that's just my preference.

i play in live mode, only to betfair.com and generally only if the game is particular . Example, if play Barcelona against the last team of liga, and later xx minutes Barcelona lose, i bet to loser  Grin
But live bet is dangerous with more site, because you wait more time for accept the bet (betfair accept in 5 second)

Here's another reason why I like live betting: https://www.directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1EWx6shxP9wCtjGosPvBoGT9P4N4yBZbeq.
Yep, I managed to get a very generous 1.52 moneyline on Serena Williams when she was trailing 0-2 in the early game. If I had betted before the start, I would had managed to get around 1.3X only.

I prefer pre live betting most of the time, simply because it's easier to make your pick. Live can be good to cover your loss though.
Prelive on a team that you are very sure about will usually get better odds too.

i prefer live betting coz i love low risk gambling over high risk one. its better to be much safer than sorry but sometimes i bet pre-event when i feel the odds are good and if i feel the chance have around 50-50 chance to win and i may bet on the other team too LIVE if odds for the other team went good

It matters on how you analyze the games. Obviously, for example if you are betting on a game before it starts , then you get accordingly, however when you bet live and assuming you bet on the team playing better than you get odds accordingly. I have had more success in live, as I am able to judge games better that way.

Yes, during live match betting will have more success than betting before match start based on my experience so for. But some times I bet before the game if I'm very sure about the winning team to bet better odds because once match start than odds may go down.
