There is a lot of activity in this thread, although low rank accounts have more activity because they don't have enough opportunities to rank up and can't take advantage of the local board.

However, some of the current members from Bangladesh like @Little Mouse @shasan are popular high rank members, they are contributing to this forum. Maybe many more good members will come from Bangladesh in the near future. So I also think it will be a good move to create a local board for Bangladesh.

Last Month Activity Stats of bangladesh Thread.

Quoting for visibility.

As i remember correctly, for the last few weeks Pakistan's local thread members were demanding the local board and now I see Bangladesh looking for a local board. Seems like Nigeria got its local board recently and now other community members also demanding local boards.

With the amount of effort and work these communities are doing, I guess it's high time that a few more local boards needs to be created for those who are already active like this Bangladesh thread.
Thanks that you support creating local board for Bangladesh and other community but bringing Nigeria got their local board is irrelevant. Maybe you didn't notice this thread creation date. OP has created this thread long ago but due to various reasons including lack of enough activity, we couldn't make it yet. But since, these days we are having more activities than previous, we can expect to get a local board.

It is true  that in the last 5-6 months Bangladesh topic is the most active one (with Pakistan) in Other Languages/Locations section. As a matter of fact, when you compare it with other communities that have their own local board, Bangladesh still doesn't look bad. Since I wanted to support those communities that are kinda neglected, I included few of them in monthly overview of local board activity from October overview, and will keep including them from now on.

Thanks a lot for your constant effort to keep us updated with charts. Looking forward to December 2020 charts.
No problem, I am glad to hear you find those charts useful. I have no doubts that forum staff knows about your board activity, but sometimes it's not bad to see them in charts and compare to others.

Just so you know, December charts are out. Once again Bangladesh board looks pretty decent, with nice amount of posts and merit shared for community without local board and merit source. Who knows, if you you keep it up maybe you get that local board in the end.
Thanks. OP updated with your latest chart.

I have updated OP with a fresh application. Hereby requesting theymos to please have a look at it.

I made November local board overview few days ago, including the Bangladesh topic. In the link below you will find several charts that you can use and share as you please.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.55779585

By the way, it's good to see that you are keeping your post count on par with previous months, but unfortunately merit shared dropped significantly.

Bumping and a request to @Rikafip
Can you please look through the activity statistics of local board for the month of November 2020 and share standing of our local thread as you did for the month of October. Our local community will be so much grateful to you.

Outstanding job, Rikafip. Sad to say that I have no smerit left to share with you.
Number of shitpost have been reduced significantly in compare with the past, while number of reporters have been increased too as active people in the local board want to have quality discussion. Moreover, there are people who want to learn about bitcoin, cryptocurrency but due to lack of enough information with Bengali language, it has been impossible. Including me, there are some members who want to contribute in the forum for Bengali language as it will play vital role to guide the local users but as I said above, organizing the guide in a single thread can never be a good idea and not productive in term of usage as they will be buried but no way to bump them.
BitcoinDream has linked a few articles in the OP but that doesn't look good if he adds more link.

On the chart below you can see Bangladesh (communities without local board are marked with *) topic somewhere in the middle with 306 posts written during October ahead of many others with own local board, and it looks like November will be similar in that regard (so far 250+ posts written).

Source of data used for this chart: @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard

I do hope that you get your own local board eventually as I think that local boards are important part of bitcointalk and can help spread the word about bitcoin among those that don't understand English well. If you want any chance of that happening you will have to keep it active and spam&shitposts free for longer period of time, so admins are sure that they are not wasting their time if they decide to give you your own local board just so it gets abandoned soon after that. There are already plenty of half-dead local boards so it's no surprise that admins are very hesitant to add new ones.

Bumping.
Is there any chance that we will get the local board anytime soon? It has been a problem to contribute in one thread as you can never get the information spread over everyone as the post will not be visible once some posts are there. It would be pretty good if we had local board. We could contribute for the local people to better understand about crypto. I have planned for writing some tutorials, informational article but I don't think the single thread is enough for posting them.

@theymos, please consider the situation and add a local board. We everyone from the local community would be grateful to you.

For real local boards, I have these stats which show they are much active and deserve to have own sub-forums. Most of them have more than 10 posts per day.

Avg 6 months = 1,87 posts per day. There is a slight recent increase these past 2 months, but nothing that shines of its own light.
Thus, it has been determined that a local board isn't required for the Bangladesh language. Although, it would be nice to get statistics from those that do have their dedicated section to be able to effectively compare the difference.

A bit off topic: If one inactive place turns into more active or very active, it sheds the light on something interesting or suspected behind the scene. What happened with the forum in last 3 months of 2017 is a good example. Come fast, go fast or just come to abuse the system (at least they feel they can).
Not completely off topic, because before implementing a new section for local languages it is probably a good idea to look at the long term outlook of the section, and whether there is a reason for spikes in activity from a particular demographic, and try to establish whether this is likely to continue. For an extreme example, if a country declared Bitcoin as their official currency we would likely see a dramatic increase in users from that country, and this would likely be a long term trend. However, if its due to a signature campaign specifically for a certain language then this isn't likely to continue if that signature campaign were removed.

Bangladesh users communicating in their local section haven't had any such rises, and the long term outlook is probably very much the same as previous years.

Avg 6 months = 1,87 posts per day
1.87 posts per day is a lower one compared to the figure for the whole history (2.1 posts per day if I did not counted it incorrectly months ago); in percent, it is 11% lower. I agreed with your approach but I am not going to this because I don't have details data available. Anyway, thank you, DdmrDdmr.

In this specific case, I’d say it’s fine to have a wide perspective on the number of historical posts, but since the thread stated on May 2014, a lot can have happened in between. For example, if historically the activity was very low, but has picked up traction over the past six months, the traction is diluted in the average over such a long period of time.

It would be better to complement it with the number of posts, month per month, over (let’s say) the last six months. Ideally, that would also have a reading of the number of distinct posters in that period (to discard heavy activity created by just a couple of forum members), although this latter aspect is a pain in the back to do it manually.

Having said that, numbers are not that great to justify a Local Board I guess:
Code:
month          from      to        nDays          Avg/day
01 2020        4404      4456      22             02,41
12 2019        4277      4403      31             04,10
11 2019        4251      4276      30             00,87
10 2019        4214      4250      31             01,19
09 2019        4163      4213      30             01,70
08 2019        4129      4162      31             01,10
Avg 6 months = 1,87 posts per day. There is a slight recent increase these past 2 months, but nothing that shines of its own light.

Thanks for the detailed break up. Could you please update your table with latest data? Also, how many posts per day local subs do get now-a-days?
Sorry, I am not going to this because subboards for other languages are mostly inactive, as you see from stats. You can check it yourself by click on the thread of your interest subboard, and see the total post at the end, then couting the total days (from beginning - OP in first page till the end - last post in the last page). It is easy to calculate average sum of posts per day.

Very active, I don't think so. From stats I have, that thread has about 2 posts per day, in average. That is too low to require for a specific local board.

I think, it is high time we revisit this application. Because of the constant moderation of OP and continuous contribution of many, Bangladesh thread is now much better than before. Since page 195, at least one person has received merit on almost every page from various members of Bangladesh. At this stage, I would request theymos, to reconsider the appeal to create a sub-forum for বাংলাদেশ (Bangladesh).
