Paxful still works fine for me. I've never submitted KYC on Paxful or LBC (which I've never been fond of in the first place) and things still work fine for me at the moment. Fees really aren't that bad IMO, though I don't make a large amount of trades on Paxful and I still purchase most of my coins from exchanges that I have done KYC on. AFAIK cash trading still exists on Paxful, but I've never tried using it on the site before.

re cash trading on paxful: there's 10 active listings across the USA if you want to buy. there's 7 active listings across the USA if you want to sell. i'd have to drive 8 hours to meet the closest buyer and i'd have to pay a 6% premium for the privilege! Undecided

cash trading is dead.....

you can use coinbaazar.com , its a new p2p exchange launched worldwide, with all payment modes.

I APPRECIATE ALL  THE INFO. BUT WHICH OPTIONS DID YOU USE IN PAXFUL WITHOUT KYC TO BUY BITCOINS? SOME ASKING FOR PAYPAL WAIED KYC BUT THEY WANTED SOME WEIRD GAMING CARD BOUGHT WHICH MY BANK BLOCKS -I AM SCREWED

It's not your country. Republic of Ireland is fine with LBC, can even check they've got good volumes there.

Also, I have traded this week on LBC precisely with someone from there, so if he's had any issues, I'd have been told (he doesn't).

Yours is a really strange error if you're still getting it. I'd try another p2p platform. Bisq.

If you're really hard up, Bitex has an ATM in Dublin:)

Newer members around here will likely need to go first for any P2P transactions on here involving fiat (always try trading with someone reputable on this forum), but I've never had any issues trading with anybody on this forum to date. Most folks don't require KYC in those parts, though naturally check before transacting.

STOP SNITCHIN'
If you want to get a hold of a really low amount on bitcoin, why not just head on to the forum's Currency Exchange section to see whether someone is in your area to get what you need? Paxful and LBC used to be fine, but with the growing pains of KYC, I don't think it's worthwhile, really.

I'm probably going to start P2P trading on the forum. With Localbitcoin's removal of cash trading, the cash market is dead for now. And with new FATF guidelines for exchange oversight coming out in about a week, the hammer might be coming down on exchanges who still allow trading without KYC. Most exchanges are probably about to go full Bitstamp, or worse.

If you don't keep separate wallets -- ones that are linked to your KYC profile at exchanges vs. ones that aren't -- start thinking about it now. Safeguard your privacy.

LBC is working fine by me here in Asia and asked a friend on Canada and it's working too as well. I've never really used much of the platform tbh though of all the times I have used it I never really had any single problem except for the fees for the escrow and the releasing time for the funds. I have with difficulty registered an account, using an email and password thrice with localbitcoins.com but cannot re-access. I get 503 forbidden. I am able to access localbitcoins.com using tor browser, but the captcha goes in an endless loop.

Clearly localbitcoins may not be illegal but they are making it hard are they not?

Does anyone have info on this website,

I had been unsuccessfully been trying to get hold of $20 on Paxful and chose the option with no passport required. My bank which is a standard English bank and declines every single transaction that goes to buy an amazon gift card etc and they say they dislike bitcoin even though its not illegal and cancel anything they suspect is related

I live in Dublin and wonder if anyone can help me get hold of $20-$50 worth of BTC?

Thanks,
Horse

I've had painful experiences trying to access Localbitcoins from a TOR browser in the past as well. The login/registration captcha is certainly a pain in the ass as it simply takes way too long to load each time.

But it's definitely still working, they've removed a few trade options, but so far that's it and no further action has been taken.

You might want to check out the currency exchange board and post a trade request there, otherwise, try to go with options on Paxful that involve cash deposit or something (so that your bank isn't involved at all), if you still can't register for LBC (try VPNs as well).

From what I know, LBC services are operating normally across all EU countries as they were before. The new rules just make the KYC policies strict and doesn't impose any ban on users from certain countries.

The captcha issue has absolutely nothing to do with Localbitcoins not allowing you to register. That's just google's recaptcha service for you.

As far as I know, even though the regulations are tightening, they are not at the point where you are not allowed to sell/buy BTC without any KYC. I even conducted a trade yesterday on LBC without any issues, without being verified.

However, at a certain point when you hit an unknown threshold of trading volume, LBC will force you to verify and suspend your trading activities until you verify. So just keep that in mind.
The captcha error he do mean is on using up TOR browser not on his typical web browsers like Chrome/Mozilla etc.
If he do got these errors then most likely this is a prohibition or restriction on his country where its already been mentioned above.
On this case, you wont really have any choice but to make alternative if you he's eager on buying up some bitcoins.

It would be nice if you do your research before posting any question here. If you are using your credit card to make a purchase in Ireland it will get declined straight away. This applicable for both English bank and Irish bank. I think the same is applicable for debit card. if you have not tried it then give it a try.

About your request "I live in Dublin and wonder if anyone can help me get hold of $20-$50 worth of BTC?" I suggest you post a new topic on the service board and see if any one can help you. Here is the link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

Where is my ring of blades...
when you go elsewhere (like a forum such as this one) don't forget to use a trusted escrow to hold the funds. you can find some trusted ones on this forum. due to the nature of bitcoin (its semi anonymity and irreversible transactions) there is a lot of scams happening that way.

If you really can't get LocalBitcoins to work, I suggest trying Mycelium Local Trader[1]. Not sure if there are buyers/sellers on the city you're in, but hey, it's worth a shot.

I heard back in 2017 that there are Bitcoin ATM available in Ireland and there is probably some in Dublin since I've read it an article back 2017. you can try withdrawing it from a bitcoin ATM available in your area I'm not sure if it's still available but can look into it and you can probably find out more while searching for it.

where is your country

This is the answer for you, maybe you live in one of the country listed on the website that Ailmand have mentioned, try checking the website and look for your country if its listed,if it is then sorry you cant unless you bypass the restriction using VPNs.

Please read first. OP clearly mentioned where he lives.

I live in Dublin and wonder if anyone can help me get hold of $20-$50 worth of BTC?

If you still have troubles, try doing trade on this forum perhaps. Use the Currency Exchange sections on Marketplace and use an escrow to make sure you don't get scammed.
