Update... So I changed to "EXAMPLE_BTG" on my BTCZ config and am now rocking a steady 14% increase on this rig. 4x XFX 580s and 2x MSI 1060s. All stock settings here. The 1060s are matching my 1060s on an OC Nvidia rig. Good job, Lolliedieb and thank you! For the life of me I can't fathom those who complain about your fees??
Hi there, I guess what happened is that the start script (run_miner.bat or run_miner.sh) is pointing to EXAMPLE_BTG, while your old pointed to BTCZ.
Overall 0.6 and 0.5 use same command line format and same config file style, so usually its just copying over the config and start scripts and run as used to before
Regarding stability: except for API and mining code the two versions are very similar. I expect alpha 1 to be similar stable / unstable as 0.5. Should work fine up to 4-5 GPUs while 5-6+ one better runs two copies of the miner. Only thing may be flaws in the new mining code. The AMD one just got ready yesterday while the Nvidia was now in testing for approx a week - I did not notice crashes or too many bad shares till now, but only have a bit limited test sys.
hi, here again a test with my old amd cards with the lolMiner 0.6 alpha1, mining anon on 144_5 algo.
the most improvement i got on the old tahiti's ~30-35%, the hawaii (290x / 390x) cards improved about 15-20%
here some "snapshot" numbers after 90 sec of hashing, (3,5,7,9) are tahiti (7970 / 280x) cards.
....
so about 25% bump overall, big thx for your work.
thats not all, its a small sample size, but holy f*** you're beating the current EWBF_ miner (0.6) hashrate on my desktop NVidia card (same OC settings)
lolMiner 0.6 alpha is currently peaking at about 92 sol/s:
1080ti with OC settings: +100 core, +600 mem, 100 PL -> 86-90 sol/s
....
vs EWBF_'s miner, where i'm getting around 79-84 sol/s
i have to look at the longruns and see how stable the alpha version is for now. thanks again!
Wow, the R390 really kick ass - did not expect this. For the polaris GPUs the miner is now in bandwidth limit while was in clock limit before. Seems this helped more on older cards ^^
Regarding the Nvidias: Fit well to what I measured on my 1080s
But to be realistig you run quite high power target - afaik lolMiner likes that a bit more then ewbf 0.6 - with more moderate settings they should run equaly fast for 1080ti
test on linux. that support only 144,5.
for another algo cannot mining.
for HiveOs, i'm wait full version.
Thanks
Ah, well good aspect. I will try to change the hive integration over weekend so the alpha does not overwrite the 0.5 stable and one can insrall them side by side. Thx for reply, stay tuned
