lolMiner just polls the OpenCL driver and asks for what cards are there and ready 2 run at the moment, nothing more. Its not an own routine, it just uses OpenCL standard functions. That said: I have seen this on my dev rig some time ago too. In the end it turned out to be a riser that somehow did not want as I did. But hard to say what causing this at your side.


Generally yes, but performance will be rather poor. Also only MNX and Aion will work because of only 1G of memory. So ... I have to admit I can not recommend doing so because unless you have free electricity the sol/s this old card (was low end in 2012!) will not justify turning your computer on for the time your mining.


By the way heavily working on 0.6 ... will take a while till its all done. But hope it will be great

I added 2x8gb 470s to my 2x8gb 580s miner and it reads all as 470s or all as 580s and only 3 of the 4 gpus sometimes or worse. Is this a lolMiner issue? Windows read them accurately as 2x470s and 2x580s. 470s are Sapphire, the 580s are XFX. Thank you for responding.

But I have to admit that new algorithms are currently not top priority - rather working on making the existing faster and the back-end more stable on multi GPU and less CPU time consuming. No problem...i would rather you continue to grow and improve lolminer on the current algo's as well to be honest and continue to make AMD more flexible.  Glad to be able to get my 2 amd rigs off off ethash now. 
This has given me new found hope for AMD

Only thing I can see here is that the final closing bracket "}" is missing in your config file. Else I am able to mine with that config file as you can see right now in your dashboard (4x 580).
Setup time indeed takes a while (this is time to set up the GPU code for all GPUs and to establish the fee connection in background), especially on AMD (the compiler needs longer to compile there), but usually it should mine.

If your problems persist after adding "}", then can you try running
from command line to see if it is hashing at all? If yes it is likely some connection attempt of your miner gets blocked so it does not get pass the initial connection phase.

Mining Aion on a 4 x 570/580 rig.
mining BTG on a 6 x 570/580 rig

Lollieb...do you think lolminer can accommodate the new lbk3 algo that Verticalcoin just went up on?
I know nothing on how the algos work on the backend or the programming aspects for that matter.
Just a miner but thought it couldnt hurt to ask.

You are sure the hashrate is real also at the pool? Because I see an rejected share in the log. There is one routine in the code at the end that usually should sort out the invalid ones, but this seems to be broken at yours - interestingly only for the one card. I think the card is in fact hashing similar to the others, but produces ~50% defect shares :/
No idea yet why (I have not used ROCm driver much till now), but well - glad to see the driver working at all

Generally lolMiner likes both, mem clock and core clock. So the best way I guess is to reduce core voltage and power limit to increase the efficiency. Overall I would try:
- leave core somewhere between 1200 and 1350
- memory up a bit - test whats stable
- power limit -20% and core voltage -0.1
This is likely a good start. Most ethereum settings with core clock at 1G or lower and high undervolt will likely end up in a crash or horrible performance here.

I do not understand what happens but it is the real hashrate that is giving me, the most amazing thing is that the 480 is not 8GB, is 4GB

The miner will not run with 6 gpu.  I tried both the my nvdia and amd cards for the 6th card and both are stucked and miner was restarting.

hello guys, I come to show the results of a problem I have on my platform, there is a card that is giving me a much higher than normal hashrate, in fact double, then I leave the log and below my configuration roc-smi

Testing two Sapphire N+ 4GB 570s rig since amd miner is exist for win (couple days ago)

94-98sols / ~85W per GPU. Seems stable. I dont know it is normal, good or bad hashrate because my GPUs bios is modded (timing, eco-mode) for ethash. Didnt want to touch the bios for testing so would appreciate it if someone could share their 570s results.

I am running AMD RX 580 4G and mining Aion on glorypool.io and get close to the reported hashrate. Great work!
edit. Anybody have any tips on OC settings?
