On version 0.4, access to graphics hardware is blocked. Version 0.34 I can not download writes that there is a virus. Friends share a working link to the 0.34 version.

I am unable to workaround the 0 sol/s bug using v0.4 @ Windows 10. One time I got a massage stating that lolminer.exe has been blocked from accessing my graphics hardware, but not sure why, nor how to fix this. Since I am not getting this message every time - I am not sure if it is worth troubleshooting it.

Version 0.34 works fine.

did have a minus difficulty is a problen in this miner?

btw I've been mining MINEXCOIN for 3 days

I often get minus difficult and directly decreases my hashrate on my pool

like this http://prntscr.com/kb8rhx and this http://prntscr.com/kb8ryf

i have 4rig AMD using 0.4 LOLMINER and 1 rig NVIDIA card using EWBF

each AMD rig got 65 kh/s on LOLMINER but got average 40khs - 50khs on pool chart

each NVIDIA rig got 40khs on EWBF and got stable 39khs - 41khs on pool chart

you can see this pic http://prntscr.com/kb8usl

is dev know about this? love this miner because light to windows, but this miner need more attention and upgrade from developer

I have not seen +21% for 1080ti. Have same speed as before of ca. 27 per card

New version v0.4 crashs with AMD RX Vega 64 8GB,
get sometimes windows crash with Blue Screen.
 Huh

With this trick I got the prior version v0.38 working:

Code:
Download the extra compiled Vega64 file named gfx901.bin.
Delete in subfolder lolMiner_v0.38\kernels\144_5 the files gfx900.bin and gfx901.bin .
Then copy the extra file gfx901.bin into the same folder and rename the file to gfx900.bin,
now will run the miner perfectly with your AMD RX Vega 64 8GB.

Linux, Vega 56. Not accepted shares.

Code:
Submitting share
Low difficulty share

Are all shares not accepted or only few?
Some few can happen for two reasons. The first is the share was generated based on job info the pool sended a few milliseconds before When now the job changed before the share reached the pool it is invalid from pool perspective. The 2nd reason is of cause that the GPU code does not work 100% accurate in order to gain speed. This can cause single invalid shares.
Please observe if this hapoens often or only from time to time. If more then 1-2% of shares are rejected something is indeed wrong, less can be considered as normal. When mining 144.5 check if your "coin" parameter is set right. If this happens frequently only with one coin plz report - then it could be a problem with personalization strings.

The two warnings by the way I am aware of - the other kernel code even produces some mire due to some dirty pointer magic - but its a warning, no error.

Solution is below.

Thx for hint, will change that Smiley

Nvidia or AMD and which of the algos? Will look into the corresponding code path to see if there are significant changes.

may i ask ? how a 1050ti can get 14sols and a 290x gets 12sols...........i'm lost is this due to 144,5 is not AMD friendly as previously 1050ti does abt 160sols and 290x does 380sols...fyi using EWBF 0.3 for my 1050ti comp

from ure view

AMD opencl codebase of miner isn't optimized yet. It even says so in first FAQ question of first post of this thread.
Unfortunately, Equihash 144,5 or Zhash is not profitable for AMD GPUs now... It's better to mine other algos...

Windows version is not working for me.
The program self opens continually, thousands of times, eating all the computer resources & finally you have to do a hard reset.

Same problem on Windows Server 2016 (v1607), batch script is not waiting while miner is running it's like immediately returing 0 and then goto :MINE starting new miner until all RAM is exhausted and UI hangs without chance to even kill all tasks or click restart in start menu.

Please use other method for restarting miner, even when miner returns (stops for some reason), put some timeout and start it again...
... people don't start blindlessly miner without check if it's acctualy working, and if hardware fails and thats the reason, well how ofter that happens ?
Don't over engineer simple things.

Solution is below...

The problem is in bat file. In my case PC try to restart until it hangs. I changed one thing:
this:
Code:
:MINE
Start /wait /B /high lolMiner.exe !PARAMS!
if /I %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 goto :MINE

Because:
if ERRORLEVEL 0 goto :MINE

Means IF Errorlevel >= number
so if return 0 no error it's going to GOTO

Could you explain why in this version you added a connection to a cloud hosting?
The first thing it does is connect to a mining site, it is OK
The second is a personal account in www.linode.com
It is not done directly from lolminer.exe, it is done trough explorer.exe
This looks to me you are doing this way to bypass firewalls
Very suspicious  Shocked Shocked Shocked

What?!?

lolMiner.exe can establish at most 3 connections:
1) The one you use for mining to your pool
2) The one for the dev fee, which currently will likely be (dependent of the coin) minexpool.nl, suprnova.cc or miningpoolhub.com
3) The API connection. When you start the miner with API port given the Windows Firewall will kick in and ask if lolMiner is allowed to do so or not.

There is no more code inside that does any connection or load. Also the only thing that it will do to interact with Windows explorer is searching for the Kernel files in its /kernel directory and load the user_config.json. I guaranty that no more is done, especially it does not connect any cloud service or other 3rd party side.

Really?

First: the virustotal you uploaded is from explorer.exe. the file in question wanting to access the internet is explorer++.exe
The firewall also states that explorer++.exe wants to access the internet through lolminer.exe So it isn't lolminer that is infected but the explorer++.exe process.

Yes, you are right, I edited my previous message.
My apologies.

I tested this miner on my 5x7950 rig and it works stable.
But hashrate is low. I've got only 55 sols from this rig.

SORRY!
Forget it, I read it wrongly, it is not lol miner is the explorer++ doing it, only happens if I start your software from explorer++.
My mistake is because I never have seen explorer++ trying to connect anywhere.
