45 minutes wait is still bearable. I have once waited for up to 2 to 3 days to get my btc transfer confirmed

One time it took 16 hours to get the 3rd confirmation, I had set a very low transaction fee.

I just started receiving $10 worth of btc in my android wallet. The process so far has been over 45 minutes. What is the longest wait you have personally experienced?

There is not any experience in waiting, because simply, we can not do anything to solve this problem. Waiting is simply waiting, time depends a lot on the charge that we pay.

bull to the shit  Wink waiting is not having access to your funds, and not having a completed transaction or a received product/service as a result of the transaction. my longest wait was three days; i sent some dust to a wallet to consolidate all of it, but didnt send fees because its dust, you know? it took a literal age for my coins to get the initial confirmation, and in that particular instance the price had shifted on me, so I liquidated (of course the price went back up immediately after I did this.

I sent myself $10 as a test two days ago. 3 1/2 hrs later nothing so I went to bed, woke up and it was done. Yaaaaa BTC is going to sh$*.

There is clearly a flaw and if we think in the years that come if popularity increases but the development doesn't, BTC will be over taken. Bitcoin Cash has a good foot hold already, if news really spread and the name bitcoin lost its edge it could over take easily.

Well I had to say that it will depend on the location to where you are. 45 minutes is quite fast if you had to ask me, because in my country its delayed for like 6 hours or so. Well the transactions are not that easy as you think it is, and I had to say also that it depends on the wallet that you are using.

no,  it not depends on the location rather it depends on the transaction fee you set or they set , the higher the transaction fees = the faster the bitcoin arrives  and the lower the transaction fee= the slower the bitcoin arrives. and i had to say 45 minutes is still low in a normal transaction because the fastest
possible time for bitcoin to arrive is about 5 to 10 minutes on a verry high fee or high priorty transaction and it doesnt matter which country do you live or your time zone is delayed by 6 hours.

My longest  waiting time is 6hrs.  45mins is already fast. Before I was using viaBTC to speedup the transactions. Now their free service is gone. Lets see if this fork thing can help to speed up BTC or ruins it.

sometimes i experienced that bitcoin do pending then it back to my wallet again but 3 hours is the longer time that bitcoin enter to my wallet.  The more the low bitcoin you pay, the more time it enter to your wallet but it depends if bitcoin is from another site, it could be spend much time.

How much did you paid for the miners fee to receive that $10 worth of bitcoin? The fastest of my transaction only took 2-3 minutes before and the fees was just a regular priority that must took 1hr+ before it gets confirmed but maybe by that time I was just lucky enough. The longest time for my transaction to get confirmed is 24 hours, imagine I waited for a day to receive that amount but the twist there is by that time I'm not in a hurry.

transactions are taking so much time right now, more than 4 hours to get the six confirmations required to get your deposit done in some exchanges.
But yes, transactions are instant, the first confirmation may take more than 20 or 30 minutes to get confirmed, but it is a good proccess since after the first confirmation all the others are going to get confirmed fastly.
they are taking a lot of time, and they are costing a lot, i think that there has to be a solution for this..

In my experience the longest time before i received the Bitcoin to my wallet is 42 Hours, that is the time when we are having problem with the miners. I did panic that time because i wanna cash out my Bitcoin once i received it but due to slow miners i wasnt able to cash out that day.

45 minutes? That is nothing if you are talking about confirmations. It has taken more than a day for some of my transactions to get confirmed. Not a problem, unless you are trying to pay for a cup of coffee at the counter.

Bitcoin transactions are instant. It is just the transaction confirmation time that might take ages depending on the fee you paid. Usually higher the fee, faster is the transaction.
When i need to do a quick transaction fee and usually pay higher fees and the transaction gets confirmed with 10 min. Placing less fees gets my comfirmation done with ~60 mins.

About two to three seconds was the longest wait for me to receive a transaction.

As for confirmations, which is probably what you're talking about, the longest has been about a day, which was around the period of very full blocks (earlier this year, probably in the April-May kind of time).

I usually try to make sure that people set an appropriate fee.  By now most wallets have fee estimation which often sets too high a fee rather than too low, which I suppose is the lesser of two evils and it's not a problem from my perspective.

When I send coins I usually check bitcoinfees.21.co and pay the lowest I can without it getting stuck, which usually these days is somewhere between 10 and 30 satoshi/byte.
