I moved some BTC over 3.5 hours ago and it still doesn't have 1 confirmation.

What is the longest I should wait?
Transaction speed depends upon transaction fees. It is called gas fee. If you choose low gas fee then it took much time to confirm a transaction. In the present time gas fee is high. Sometimes it is unbearable. For delay transaction something we need to face problem. If anyone need immediate money then he faced trouble for slow transaction.

There is some user who experienced few days before their transaction will be confirmed because we know once bitcoin is high it's need time to confirm it and also depende to the transaction fee you set or you pay the higher the fee the faster confirmation but if it's low for sure it is low priority and it takes few hours upto few days and I experienced last week few days transaction and that day I badley need money but I don't have any choice so I wait to confirmed it.
It's quite frustrating when we really need the money but it took too long for it to be processed that's why sometimes I prefer p2p transactions whenever I want to cashout, Binance have this feature but still needs for confirmation processes. We need to find other ways when the gases were too high and the price of BTC is also high since transactions will truly can lead to slower speed due to bulk traffic it receives.

Slow transaction confirmation can also be caused by high demand for bitcoin transactions and the limited number of bitcoins available like any other resource.
and transaction costs also greatly affect the speed of transactions, the higher the transaction costs, the faster the transaction process and vice versa, and in transaction queues miners tend to prioritize higher transaction costs because miners also need funds to perform calculations, both in terms of energy and electricity.

The max I've waited for 1 confirmation was more than 24 hours, had also used a relatively low fee too. I'd guess, depending on the network situation now to wait at least a day for your transaction to be confirmed. I've also used a free accelerator I had found, not sure if they actually do anything, but I'd try them if I were you.

I am very cheap with fees. I've been waiting since Feb 16 for a BTC transaction that I sent from 1 wallet to another. The fee was 8 sats/byte. I'll report back when it confirms because this is already a record long (13 days)
Your transaction fee with 8 sats/byte is quite low, presumably that during the days you'd make a transaction is a peak day of the mempool network.
However, it barely happens that the mempool network will drop transactions, it's commonly be confirmed but it will take approximately 2 weeks for you to wait.  Just keep trying to accelerate your transaction using Bitcoin accelerators, it might help if you get lucky and I suggest using ViaBTC as I have heard, they owned mining pools.

Let us know here if ever your transaction will beyond 14 days.
I used to pay 25sats but still, it takes longer to confirm. That much longer if we only pay 8sat, but probably 14 days is not enough as the fees for now still high.

What I can suggest to OP is to increase the fee( last option), 35-40 sats is fair enough for the miner to prioritize it but of course, it can't be instant confirmation, we still are expecting hours. This be easy when using an Electrum wallet.

My 8 sats/byte transaction from Feb 16 just got confirmed a few hours ago.

The funny thing is that I've been doing 20 sats/byte on other transactions and those are only taking 12-36 hours. Can't believe this one took 3 weeks!

There is no harm in waiting for some time. I am closely following the average transaction fee for the last few days, and yesterday I saw transactions with fee less than 10 Sat/Byte getting confirmed almost instantly. But right now the average fee is almost 10 times that amount. Those who want to get their transactions confirmed can pay a high fee right now. On the other hand, if you can wait a couple of days, then you can pay one-tenth of that amount and get your transactions confirmed.

I got like 2 days once. Don't worry. Just wait. It will confirm eventually, even if you paid very low fees.

Bitcoin transactions are categorized by priority, normal, and low, you probably picked the low and used a small amount of fee to move your bitcoin, the last time I did that it took over a week plus before I could the bitcoin got to the destination and bitcoin was trading at $14k+ during that time, now it has risen up to $40k+ who knows how long its going to take , since you have already sent out the bitcoin, you can try using a bitcoin transaction accelerator, I don't know but it helps out a little.

It is well known that all transactions is depending on the fees, but sometimes transactions is faster if when it a lower fees use, like the regular fees, well it depending on how fast you want to the coin to deliver, Use a better fees if you want your transactions to Comfirm faster. Every transaction is depending on how the individual set there fee.

What is the longest I should wait?

Always depends on fees you have chosen. If you were able to chose highest fee then miners will prioritize your transaction and will received your btc instantly. As far as I've experienced before, it took me 3, days before I received my bitcoin. That time, I have chosen the cheapest fee and bitcoin skyrocketed that time.

Anyway, you can just wait for that to confirm. That will take some days for sure.

I ever did more than this, sending BTC into an exchange wallet and needs more than 48 hours to arrive at the wallet exchange. I used the standard transaction fee.
'This is one of the risks for us to use the standard fee, moreover when the traffic is high. When the price of BTC is increasing, commonly the traffic will be busier, so it is better to add the fee even it is higher for the shake of speed transfer.
So, if there is a button edit of the fee, it is better to increase it because mostly, the fee rate will be also increasing during the transaction.

Myself experienced much delay in the transaction confirmation during my starting days of cryptocurrency usage. By the time I learnt to make transaction, but I don't know this transaction fee will make delay in the confirmation causing the deposit/transfer. I don't know the fee and the transaction amount, but it took more than a week to get it confirmed.

My longest transaction confirmation is about 8-9 hours, I have sent a certain amount of bitcoin in my Electrum wallet and I just got worried about my transaction because most of the time whenever I transfer bitcoin in my electrum, it only takes 2-3 hours but last week is really different because it takes more than that time, so I double-check my transaction details and I have seen that all the information or the wallet address is correct maybe there is just huge traffic that time.

What is the longest I should wait?

Back in 2017, one of my transactions got stuck for around 6-7 days. The transaction never got confirmed and after a week, the coins were returned to the originating wallet. And recently, in January one of my transactions took almost 24 hours to get confirmed. The transaction fee is quite volatile right now. So in case you have put a low fee by mistake, then you may need to wait for a few days. The Mempool size is also getting bigger. Last time I checked, it was around 72 MB.

What wallet are you using? Some wallets will rebroadcast the transactions till it confirms so it never gets dropped.

Are you using 0.00010934BTC/KB or is that the total fee paid? If it's per KB, then it could be confirmed within a reasonable period of time.

depend on How much fee you used, I remember experimenting last January when i Put 1 Sat per Byte in the middle of congestion and guess what ?

How long does it take? almost forever  Grin for 8 days i have been waiting , and after that long i decided to add fees because i was thinking that if i do no action this will
take another 15 days and waiting will be so much long .

Now i learn my lesson to use the Highest fee , or suffer the waiting in lower fees.
