Coinabul - Gold Unbarred
Played the site with the free BTC...

Was kind of fun. A bit confusing, but it is a very well made site.

I didn't win the jackpot, which was lame. Also, no 0-conf returns, it took me ~2confs to see the result.

I just visited the front page and it was kind of blank.  The page had finished loading (blue arrows in top left, not red circle) but the pool amounts aren't showing:

We are having some problem with our hosting provider, they claim to be under DDOS... working it that now.. :]

[EDIT] Problem has been resolved now... and network issue between our Costa Rica Servers and CloudFlare, is important to notice that the issue only affected the front-end, since the back-end was still processing Draws, Tickets & Payments

[EDIT2] Back with some issues, already escalated the issue to the network admin.

When i click on link, the pool is invisible.
I had to click on "Home" to have a normal page

To me, "free play" is a bit misleading as it's not really free.  If you need to spend 1BTC to use it, that's not free.  I think calling it a bonus play or something similar is a bit more accurate.

Also there's a typo on the ticket page:

Quote
You will be able to use only one free play for each BTC you bet on your next ticket. Some of your free plays will expire if not use within the next 100 Blocks. Use them Now!

Played and won .1818 BTC! Whoo, ~$4 for me! I like the site a lot. As the others have said, the design is very appealing. I was a little confused on how the free plays worked.

^ That led me to believe that I had to do something to use my free play, and I didn't know how to use it. Eventually I figured out that it just plays it automatically. Other than that, everything was very clear to me.

The other day, my brother caught be saying "Some day, when I have money (...)" and he told me, "You're an adult who has money now. You don't get to say that anymore. Adults say 'Some day, when I win the lottery.'" So, I think I'll be buying a bitmillions ticket once a day now.

I have played with free Bitcoin you gave me https://blockchain.info/tx/a266125d9a8842bcefed80517628e7f5a9c8390e03f48cabc24cfbefb695bf85 and won 0.09 BTC.

BitMillions website looks awesome and creates impression of a solid company. But, honestly, I would never risk my own Bitcoins because winning odds are very slim and bet amount (0.1 BTC ~ $2) is too high IMHO.

"you will receiveD no plays" should be "receive".

Thanks, I will change that...

And if any of the numbers you select are less than 10, it says to send BTC Invalid.  You should pick the lowest number that's greater than 9 as the first one.  It looks like you're picking just the lowest one at the moment.

Yes, I know is not 100% accurate right now... is in my list of thinks to fix up Smiley

Click on the QRCode or the Betting Address, you can enter the numbers on the balls or click random. Do you think that is clear enough?

It's clear now that you've told us about it, but it's not discoverable.  There's no clue that clicking on a QR code will allow you to select the numbers...

Also:

Thanks so much for your comments! Do you mean cheap because they are over optimized or because the image is generic?

What i would like added is: A wizzard with clickable numbers and a selection of the number of draws wanted, to generate the exact amount to be payed. Fiddeling with decimals and making sure the amount is divisible with 0.10, is still too neerdy.

Instead of the auto betting feature, if you deposit an amount with "oooooo" decimals, you could implement that the wizzard pops up suggesting the last numbers played, based on your previous bet from that address.

Did you see buy ticket popup we have now? Don't you think this popup accomplish just that?

No I didn't see a popup. I'm on Firefox / Ubuntu.

Here's my critical review.

IMAGES:

Some images look cheap and undermine the focused/elegant web design. here are links.

first, warranty, not warrenty.

second, it makes it look like a scam to have this meaningless phrase on a gold sticker. The information on the page is enough.

One more thing to look out for... all stock photos of people smiling happy/surprised people. says either cheap or scam to me.

FEATURE REQUEST:

When a ticket page is up, it should auto refresh every minute or so. By hovering on the draw# for each entry in a ticket, display the winning numbers. Some people like to see that they were, "oh, just one off! oh man!".

Show the net amount someone will win. Seeing one value and getting less than that on the transfer is disappointing.

Increase the pay amount of the match 1 to .1 or better yet .10000777 - seeing a positive return has a strong psychological effect.

SUMMARY:

I imagine this can be something similar to keno. An activity for a group of friends at a restaurant or even climbing a flipping mountain, lol.

It has a nice peek behind the curtain that keno doesn't provide.

I'm happy to clarify anything with a phone call. Great Job, looking forward to the public release!

I'm curious what the calculation is... but those odds are per draw, so per 0.1 BTC, you have a 3,921,225 chance of winning.

I didn't take into account the fact that the same number cannot be used more than once, so that would make the calculation 100 * 99 * 98 * 97, but even that is still 94,109,400.  Where does 3,921,225 come from?

I was curious too, so I played with a Python script to work it out...

Quote
#!/usr/bin/env python

def factorial(x):
  if x < 2: return 1
  return x * factorial(x - 1)

def p(n, k): return factorial(n) / factorial(n - k)

def c(n, k): return p(n, k) / factorial(k)

max = 100                       # how many different numbers there are
pick = 4                        # how many numbers we get to pick

all = p(max, pick)
for matched in range(pick+1):   # how many of our numbers are matched
    unmatched = pick - matched  # how many of our numbers aren't matched
    bad = max - pick            # bad numbers for us
    # (which of our numbers are going to match) * (which positions they're in) * (what the non-matching numbers will be)
    ways =           c(pick, matched)           *       p(pick, matched)       *            p(bad, unmatched)
    print "match %d : %8d / %8d = %8.5f%% or 1 in %f" % (matched, ways, all, ways*100.0/all, float(all)/ways)

Quote
$ ./millions.py
match 0 : 79727040 / 94109400 = 84.71740% or 1 in 1.180395
match 1 : 13716480 / 94109400 = 14.57504% or 1 in 6.861046
match 2 :   656640 / 94109400 =  0.69774% or 1 in 143.319627
match 3 :     9216 / 94109400 =  0.00979% or 1 in 10211.523438
match 4 :       24 / 94109400 =  0.00003% or 1 in 3921225.000000

Nice! Here is a copy of the python script I used for the simulation, and the numbers you entered are proven to be correct.
