Alright since we the 'others' are 'out of luck' then please lock this thread!

No thanks everyone. Like I said, I'm out. I've made up a short list of people I trust and everyone else is pretty much out of luck.

Wow. I'm so sorry this happened to you. The email seems to be for a restaurant with a really racist name. It's been out of business since the 50's. Here's a retro website...

http://www.skagitriverjournal.com/wa/king/business/coonchicken1-stapp.html

I'm looking around to see where the connection is to the restaurant (if any).

Sorry for your loss, dear Sidehack, I had them too but this is the exchange life but we have to keep moving forward (Credit goes to Rocky 3 w/ S. Stallone)...

Anyway I can send you $120 Neteller now if you are interested. I have a REAL Trust if you check me around and I can send you screenshots of my ID VERIFIED account.

I can take PayPal from someone reputable

And this is why I don't take risks on newb members - because when I try and do something nice the paypal transaction gets reversed inside an hour. Looking at you, essaouira82. Thanks for having the gall to ask for a second sale.

I'm sorry for your loss buddy especially as you're trying to raise funds for an affordable small home miner and you're a real credit to this forum.

That's why you go to high rep users for these kind of trades and you pay a little fee. If you want 1:1 or a premium you'll have to navigate through the scam attempts.

I've only done maybe five BTC-to-PayPal sales with "strangers", so that two of 'em were scams does not read well for the exchange side of the community.

I don't need more seeds for good. All I got is seeds for good. What I need is capital and to not be robbed of it when I'm trying to use it for affordable no-contract hosting, server PSU breakout board manufacture and community-centric miner dev. Grumble grumble. Anyways, let's see how this plays out. There's a short list of people I trust so next time I need anything I'll come to you. Everyone else who might be trustworthy, sorry but the vipers in your midst (and the flood of messages from people who didn't bother to read and contemplate my conditions in the first post, which is more annoying than malicious) have soured this experience. I won't say it's not partially my fault, and how hilarious would it be if, by chance, the twenty-odd n00bs I ignored were all stand-up citizens and the two I did not were the only scammy scammersons? Probabilistically unlikely, but not impossible. So to all the trustworthy n00bs just trying to get ahead, try somewhere else and leave me alone. And to all the scammers just trying to get ahead, go get a f$@%ing job you lazy dickwheels and leave me alone. Some of us have bills to pay and no resources to waste funding your Thursday night beer run. So piss off, ya wankers.

But yeah, some of yous guys are alright. I'll probably talk to you again in the future.

But to be fair, the user that had a pretty decent trust:

Not really...

He sold me BTC for my Paypal funds, I went first. Fast and efficient user. Thank you.

He couldn't scam him because he sent BTC.

Held 10 BTC in escrow for this user (part of the dustdice sale)

The scammer didn't hold BTC... they put 10 BTC in escrow.

It was just unlucky - but being scammed once you should've tried to involve a middleman/escrow (I have no idea how to involve an escrow for PayPal)

Middlemen/escrow doesn't work for BTC -> PP because BTC goes to escrow... person A sends PP... person B confirms the funds... Escrow Agent releases BTC... person A reverses.  Maybe if the escrow agent held the coins for a year Tongue.

Everything I got is right there. I'm hoping it's a hacked account (the guy's been doing favorable business for several months), but I found no evidence of this in Scam Accusations.

You know what, screw alla y'all. Three years in the bitcoin economy and I didn't get hosed once until I came knocking in this Currency exchange board. Twice in six weeks. Guess now I know where all the bastards hang out, and why nobody in the friggin' world will take bitcoin seriously. Don't expect to see me back here again. Nice way to treat someone who's made a meager living workin' 60 hour weeks to serve the bitcoin community for the last two years.

Paypal for BTC is tough.  I've had friends get pwned via Ebay, Localbitcoin and here doing BTC -> PP.  It isn't just this forum.

Accepting PP for BTC is just one of those things that you shouldn't do with strangers.  (even with ppl who aren't strangers sometimes!)

Sorry to see you go and all I ask is that you please be sure to release escrow upon verifying what I sent you yesterday.  <3

Use the losses to fuel your fire to do good.  There is a seed of good in every bad thing.

I can't believe you've done as many BTC -> PP deals here and elsewhere without problems.  Don't be overly shocked if you do get pwned with more chargebacks from past deals Sad... no worry about the funds from me via PP of course. (Reverses can happen MONTHS later)

Well, mistakes made at the end of a 14-hour work day doing stickminer repair and assembly. To an account with a handful of positive trusts and no negatives, both sent and received. Not like a fresh account with zero history, and the last several people he did business with didn't have anything to complain about. I guess we'll see where it goes.

If you don't have his address on the transaction then you can't even challenge the dispute.
You should've been more careful after you got scammed once.

Okay. I assume, I go first? You think you can? If I am, e-mail to send to + terms?

Paypal can be sent to [email protected] - send it as goods. Or should I invoice you?

I'll need your receive address for the coins. And you consent to a butt-kickin' if you reverse the transaction on me.

Yah sent it as goods.  Grin Grin don't worry about a reversal from me.

Well I wasn't worried about a reversal last time either and the jackass reversed it in like 40 minutes. Try to do a guy a favor, lose $200.

Yeah I've experienced similar. PayPal's terrible at handling the situations too. Either they roll dice to see who wins, or the people who look into the disputes just skim over it in half a second, see if evidence is given on either side, and then clicks red or blue.

Not really worth it on my side, not only for my rep, but my actual PayPal account too. (Yeah, I value it (yes, a positive number) Grin)

Well anyways, it's sent now.

Hi Sidehack, I like your hardware projects.

I want to trade with you but since I am in Europe now and you are in US i guess so i cannot do a bank deposit in a US bank right now. I had BofA back then but it is not a doable method right now. WU or MG are out of the equation due to the fees i guess.

So the optimal deal I can offer is to send you 200 Euro LeuPay.eu funds for 0.5479 BTC right now preev.com rate and you can transfer that to your bank account from the LeuPay system or you can get a Leu debit card in 3-4 days and use the funds or withdraw.

By any chance do you have an EU bank account to do SEPA?

Anyway I am sure we can figure out how to help each other somehow...

Cheers!
