nice one mat.

what trade will you think of next, i can wait to see.

You may be alarmed to learn, that my bias has now switched to bullish....but I aint buying up here.

Will buy blind on 61.8% retrace, failing that, any kind of retrace followed by bullish market structure.....

.....btw....I did only lose $46 on my last trade.....sure, had I stuck to plan, then it would have been more like $400, but truth is, I wasn't liking the trade for the whole day that I made it, and had readjusted my target to scratch (inc fees). The fact that all I was looking for was a fkn $2 move down from my entry, and Bitcoin really wasn't wanting to give me it, set alarm bells off and as it happens, I exited the trade literally seconds before the pump kicked off.

This was the Trade:

This was the news event:

http://www.coindesk.com/us-swap-platform-registration-cftc/

And this was what happened:

Apparently.....although, pretty fucking funny how all this happened during Shanghai Opening Times.......

....in which case, maybe this was the news:

hey hold on a minute!

wasn't the whole point of this thread that you'd be wrong most of the time, so that we can do the opposite?

I'm very disappointed

Meh...

I am sure I wont be able to resist the odd impulse short at the most inopportune of moments on this rise.

Well....totally misjudged that.

Had a short from $452, but exited at $454, literally seconds before big massive pump!

But like every other time I have missed the pump, no fkn way am I chasing that FOMO motherfucking short squeezing space rocket.

lol, this is the best, bar none, thread for the lulz!

I tend to get 'fans' on here only when I am wrong. Only r0ach feels the need to poke his nose in here, when I am right and even then, if I am correct on the short side, it is always due to some Chinese manipulators etc etc etc...(like this pump isn't entirely to do with Chinese Manipulators....CNY leads by a mile, pump happened at Shanghai Opening etc)

Go through the thread...look at the trade ideas....about 60% were on the money.

Most recent was my most spectacularly wrong.....but no TA could have predicted that pump, and in the end, I got out just $2 further up the charts than what I got in. I can live with that:

Only people who got to ride that pump where 'believers', and believers will still be believing when 'they' start dumping.....

Daily MAs have crossed bullish again....so I will switch bias back to hunting longs when the dust settles:

... except it lead this run all the way. No wonder you're losing.

He aint losing. Without having too much knowledge of how to read charts, I can vouch that he plays his cards pretty fucking damn well, and unlike most others around here, he won't be loaded up with Bitcoin, hoping n holding in vain when it's harvest time for the whales. (whales harvesting Bitcoin Nutters and Joe Public that is, not the other way around).

He bought at $435. Advised me that 'the bottom' was in, and said he hoped that I had been smart enough to get in.......even if I was (I wasn't, cos I was tripping balls when BTC confirmed $435 low), I would have sold in $450s, and would have hunted shorts in $450s, which is something that I did of course do......

I took this trade early on Thursday. Very quickly, I started to not like it, as it seemed obvious that BTC was going to pop up higher (to around $460 or something I thought), so for the whole day, I sat with my target adjusted to break even ($451.xx when considering exchange fees), but crazily enough, BTC just wouldn't get down there. Just a few seconds prior to the onset of the pump, and way past my bedtime, I exited the trade at $454. I consider this one very lucky escape.

Oh baby, just got home and see we're on the move again. And damn, litecoin is that little engine that could. I'll drink to that!

(ignoring Huobi with it's free exchange fees).

yeah, just keep ignoring huobi

Since it was $20 past all other exchanges - yeah, ignore that fake shit. When Stamp hits $480 I'll pay attention.

I'm not losing, I hold bitcoins - I'll be convinced and buy more when Stamp crosses $480. And Huobi no exchange fees = fake ass volume.

Huobi $482, others almost $20 behind - interesting. Volume is very low, sure doesn't look like the start of a pump to me.

Don't forget that is how the last pump went as well.......

It doesn't matter how *real* it is or isn't, if you can buy BTC now at $470, and sell tomorrow at $520, then who gives a shit....

....of course, I can't buy now, not at $480, nor at $490.....if this is the pump, then I am missing it.

Interesting and sudden uptick : )

Anything to do with CFTC announcement?

http://www.coindesk.com/us-swap-platform-registration-cftc/

http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/pr7375-16

Not too sure, but I think this means investment banks can now acquire BTC-derivatives as part of portfolio?

Halving is less than 45 days from now. When are you going to buy in? At $600?

If BTC goes up in one great big green dildo all the way to $600, then so be it. I will have missed the pump. I will never chase price in either direction.

That's the best time to short because it won't stick.
