Damn that's hard to read, although I must say I've been there myself. Not with your amounts, because I didn't get into bitcoin early, so I can't even imagine those numbers, but in terms of % of risk, based on my own bankroll I would say I lost the same and I did some crazy things.

I'm ok now, and I even got back to gamble from time to time, but I do it just for fun, and it's working for me. If you want to stay away from gambling, then I think you should, specially if you can't control yourself very well. Another thing you can do, in the future, is to create a gambling bankroll, a very small one, that you can afford to lose, and then just use that. If you feel calm with what you are risking, then you will not feel the need to recover it, if you lose it, since you are just doing for fun, and with that mindset, gambling becomes just another hobby.

That's right. It is actually the best mindset for healthy gambling. Before starting playing with an amount imagine first what would you do if you lost it. If you don't want to even think about that possibility then you definitely shouldn't even start playing. Only if your thoughts are similar to "Okay, I'll play for 2-3 hours in this poker tournament with $1.1 buy-in because I enjoy playing poker, and if I lose I won't regret it because still had fun" you can play without fearing bad consequences.

I have only 5 bitcoin’s & I cherish them, I’d never gamble with them. I am HODLING them until one day maybe they reach $100,000 each. I feel for you OP but at least you still have lots of money. Don’t make the same mistakes again!
That's a good choice holding your bitcoin until the price increase to the higher price compared to gamble it for nothing. That is why if you are feeling bored you can gamble but gamble that you can afford to lose and don't gamble day by day because it can affect your life behavior that may lose more bitcoins.

Anyway, to OP sorry for your lose and I hope you learn about your mistakes.

We can not blame them for being like that I mean, Some people are not patient in waiting for bitcoin to increase they really want a fast profit that is why they try their risk on gambling, But unfortunately, the house edge always wins in the end, And the house would simply put you in a spot were you can win some in bets and when your adrenaline hits you will feel satisfied win your winnings and then when you play again in that account the house would surely take over your winnings, Gamblings just simply make you think you can profit but of course that not how it goes.

Your "perspective" should be that you are aiming too high to be happy. Happiness or financial freedom doesn't come from outside to inside, it goes out from inside to outside. If you keep thinking if you have enough money you will never be happy about the amount of money you have (which is not a bad thing if you are a greedy wall street guy who wants to hit it big but otherwise not so much) and you will be fixated upon making more and more somehow which will direct you to a bad place in your life.

If you however focus on what you have instead of what you could have than you can focus on how much you can do with it. Instead of spending on silly stuff you could invest that to something that would yield a profit as well, instead of sitting at the side it could potentially turn into something thats usefull for you. Basically focus on what you have and you will be happy, focus on what you could have and be sad about it.

It's important to look at it from another perspective. Most people would do anything to have 30BTC like you. You lost 50, that's hard and painful, but you had much more. You had the money I can only dream of. To me and to many people out there 30 Bitcoins is a fortune and you still have that fortune after everything that happened. Take that as a lesson. You will have a great party conversation starter and still enough money to throw these parties and enjoy life.

Yes, I am Mannton456, I’m going to post it on the crypto-Games chat to prove it’s me. This is my story of loss.

I’ve always had a inclination for making reckless decisions. While I don’t gamble on a regular basis and prided myself on making sensible decisions, like investing in the bankroll of a bitcoin casino (to benefit from +EV), one day I decided to gamble with 3 BTC.

I won some bitcoins, and called it a day. The next day, I was bored and decided to give it another go. Lost everything. Now I don’t like losing, so my only strategy was to deposit almost 10x the amount - 20 BTC, and try to win it back again. I did and managed to turn it to 30 BTC. My heart was shaking and the adrenaline I had was incredible. I reinvested it in the site, and went to bed happy.

Unfortunately, the next day I decided to just do one bet of the entire balance, at 97% odds. I lost. Shit. I was operating in automatic mode and deposited a further 50 BTC, and tried to bet again. Lost again. I felt like ending my life.

I did something even more stupid and deposited another 70 BTC, almost the last remaining bitcoins I’ve had. Thankfully I was able to win back 30 BTC before I stopped and withdrew; putting my net loss at -54 bitcoins.

This is worth $350k USD. I am at a loss. I don’t think I will ever gamble again, but this is such an expensive lesson for me. I could’ve bought a house or apartment for that money. I could’ve bought 7 Tesla’s!

It’s also the first time I’ve lost anything more than $20 gambling. I don’t gamble a lot, and when I do it’s always with small amounts. But it was easy to see bitcoins as “not money” and that you’re just playing a game... with real money, and real life consequences.

I am someone in my 20s who got into cryptocurrency early. Thankfully, I do still have about $1.5 million in crypto and other investments, but losing 350k and 20% of your net wealth in the span of an hour is just... devastating to me. How did I end up risking $350k for a $18k loss?!

I’m having thoughts of going “all in” and trying to win it back. I know it’s a bad idea, a real bad one, but I’m someone who likes going big or going home.

I don’t know what to do at this point. I know I will survive, at least I’m not in debt, but fuck, I’m upset. I’m really depressed, and thoughts of killing myself have floated my mind.
The only good advice that anyone can give you is to look for professional help, I know that many people do not want to see a psychologist for the fear of begin branded insane or something like that, but you need the help, what you are feeling is not going to go away and it is likely you will make the same mistake again with even more devastating results, someone like you that takes what it is a random event as a personal issue is going to have a lot of problems with all variants of gambling.

So you should never gamble again, it does not matter if you are gambling only one dollar, do not do it because that will open the door for this behaviour once again and I am sure that you do not want to go through the feeling of losing such a fortune in such a short amount of time.

The pain is always there when misfortune befalls someone, I also understand what you feel, of course, don't let the decline become stopped and there is no enthusiasm in building profit in the future, indeed I speak like this is not easy What to do, just a little reminiscent of the front will always be good if it starts again by avoiding gambling, don't always take foolishness again, if it's not ready with all the capacity that is in you.

The fact you ask help after huge losses means you actually don't want to kill yourself and face your problem.

The fastest way to solve your emotional problem is by keeping yourself busy, either with hobby, job or build deeper relationship with those you know. Even though asking for professional or family help would be better. You might want to use application such as https://freedom.to/ which block/hide application and websites and it's not limited to help gamblers, but many other addition as well.

The best at this time would be to take break and go out with friends or to some relatives place and get back to your life normally. It may take time but will be easier with known ones who will help you and advice for betterment and sooner the OP forgets about it and do not think much will help him to get normal in life.

yes, it can be a bit of a relief compared to if we are always alone and feel a great regret for losing a lot of money that has been spent. going with friends to an entertainment place or to the outdoors can help reduce the level of stress that we experience a little after feeling a huge loss. avoid loneliness because it can make us more frustrated and can lead to suicide.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I would be angry too, but suicide doesn't fix anything. It just passes the pain to others. We all make bad decisions and suffer the consequences but life has to go on. You lost a lot of money gambling. I lost a hell of a lot of money trading. And someone else will lose half his house through divorce or for some other reason. At least you're not in debt. So many people still are, so you're still in a much better position than most people. If the urge to gamble comes back or continues, then I'd advise you to seek professional help. God bless you.

I also wanted to ask.... Are you sure that the online casino you gambled at is legit and not rogue or ripped you off? Does it have good customer reviews. I know all of that is beside the point now, but it is possible that you were scammed especially if you played at a dodgy site?

2 things that a good gambler has/

> No Emotion ~ they don't feel excitement or regret to focus in it.

> They don't kill themselves ~ they find ways to learn from mistakes and live a lifetime to gamble in life.

Losing is part of it, but quitting isn't. You gamble money for run and adrenaline, do the same thing on coming back in your life.

smh/ I won't gamble again?/ lmao
A gambler do gamble no matter what. Life is too short to quit.

I think I’ve accepted my loss and ready to move past.

I’m certainly not going to be chasing this loss, or gambling for money again. Any gamble like that is going to be things like poker night with my friends, with a $20 buy in.

The only thing that’s slightly bugging me, especially after the crypto crash, is... do I have “enough” money? Is $1.5m good enough? I know that amount of wealth puts me at the 10% in the US, and probably the top 1% for someone in my 20s, but god...  I was in the 1% once, and I want to be there again.

Maybe I need some perspective. Idk. Once you go from “spend money, ya have practically infinite money” (I gave away more than 100 BTC to family [good reason, don’t regret it one bit] and an ex [fuck I was dumb ]), to shit, money is finite and you only have a million and change... it’s an unpleasant realization but I think I’m missing perspective there.

That and whatnot. I’m going to continue what has worked out well for me, and what has allowed me to build this wealth that I had. Along with time and hopefully another crypto rally, I’ll be the 1% again. It’s only $10 million.

But I will make it there. Through hard work, savings, and smart investments. Never gambling. Smiley

After reading the OP and especially about that you were having thoughts of going “all in” to win it back, I was really relieved seeing this post. I just checked your stats and indeed you have never made a single roll since than. Good job!

As for your thoughts on do you have enough money, I'd say most of us here would be more than happy to have 10% of that what you have. Don't think of making more money, but rather think of studying more and gaining more knowledge. Invest in your education and you will never regret it since the state of happiness most of us are trying to achieve depends on the level of your education and not on the amount of money you have.

I have read up lots of ridiculous stories about gamblers do lose out some serious amounts of bitcoins due to emotions.I cant really blame since its your money after all and i cant deny the feeling of craving for more bitcoins even you do know that you had already profited. Not accepting loss bets is one of the mistakes yet it would really urge you to play even on single bet then after that it would be an another story since chances of playing more is there. No one can help you but yourself and since you do still have millions then you should not gamble again if you dont like to lose it all.

The thing is it doesn't matter where you live when you have 1.5 million dollars. You are saying you live in an expensive city but that has no relevance to this at all, you are 1.5 million ahead of what you would have been if you didn't invested into bitcoin back in the early days.

You wouldn't have that money and I am pretty sure having that money is better than not having it in anywhere around the world. The point is not that it is a lot of money in some countries and not so much in some other countries but the point is you at least have it which is much better than not having. If you keep gambling this way you won't have it and you will think about how it sucks not having it, you would probably rue the day you gambled and if you are like this by losing $350k, think how worse you will be by losing another 1.5 million dollars which tells me it is a big amount of money.

I would suggest getting a place for yourself if you do not have it, maybe you won't afford a luxurious state but I am sure you can at least get a one bedroom small loft type thing or whatever you can afford, that way your money won't be on bitcoin for you to gamble but will be your house which you won't have to pay rent and if you are living on a dorm or with your parents you can even rent it and if your country is as expensive as you say than the rent will be high and you will have a decent income from that which you can't gamble with.

All together everything seems pretty awesome for you no matter what, I say smile and get fresh air and think of how many things you can do with that kind of money.

glad you accepted the loss mate but hope you learned the lesson , it's not about not gambling in the future but it's about self control
you seriously need to learn self control cause you didn't lose that amount of money because of gambling but because lack of self control

we can all agree that gambling will only end up with loss but you ended up chasing small loss with big capital and to be honest this is what you should work on cause this may affect your future investments in the coming days

always measure the risk/reward and take time to think about it , cause you may end up doing the same thing with investments as well ( remember there is really a tiny line between gambling and investing )

you still have a lot of money so personally  wouldn't worry if I was you , you can easily make it back within two years

Please, first of all, ask CryptoGames to disable your account and ban your IP address.
They will do that if you're a problem gambler, that would be a very good first step.

Second, get professional help as soon as possible. Instead of gambling one last time, please make an emergency appointment with a mental health specialist.
Do whatever you can to stop yourself from gambling again.

From Crypto-Games FAQ:

Quote
What if I can't stop gambling?
Gambling can become an addiction that can have serious negative effects on your life. If you lose more than you planned to, please check these sites for information that can help you: Help Guide, Wikipedia. Or, you can contact us and we'll block your account and/or IP address. We truly value our players and do not want our Casino to negatively affect their lives.

You still have more than enough money left to live very comfortably for a couple of years. Please seek something else that gives you the same sort of adrenaline rush, but isn't detrimental to your mental health and finances.

Bitcoin world are riskier than ordinary gambling like vegas so it's normal and you must aware for this.
I know that gambling able to make you rich but cryptocurrency gambling can't make you as rich as Dan Bilzerian !

So before it's too late, you need find another way to multiple your bits ( For example : I'm invest on other platform with the profit that I got from crypto )

I'm saddened to hear you lost quite a few bitcoins gambling.  At least you were able to cut your losses before you lost everything.   One of the worst mistakes a gambler can do is to keep chasing their losses until they end up broke.

If you still have good health and a loving family your already rich.  The money can be fun but without health and relationships it really doesn't mean much.  Be grateful for what you have and don't take anything for granted.
Most people who gamble including myself do it mostly because we want to win money but if I have the privilege of having that much money why would I gamble in the first place and risk losing money.
