Many thanks and I cross my finger for your mining project,
Willi
Nudge, nudge . . . I was actually thinking of you specifically when I asked the question. You appear to have the administrative prowess where and when appropriate. But enough brown-nosing . . . you didn't answer the question about whether or not a higher level lottery pool has ever been discussed. Outside of your workload, I'm sure there may be valid reasons for or against it. I'm just on the road to knowledge my friend.
Cheers!
if you mean rent higher hashrate for longer time, yes we had done this, but no luck.
we burned a lot of bitcoins
you can take a look in the german mining area for "mega halving..." or "mega run...". we spend a lot but no luck to catch a block.
Best regards,
Willi

No, no . . . not referring to the Block Party pool. I was speaking of the
lottery solo pool miner race where we keep a minimum hashrate per miner of 200 GHs in 7 days. Not speaking of renting hashrate. I believe I did post under the correct topic section here when I spoke of this . . . I hope. If I'm wrong, I beg forgiveness. Anyway, here is what I said:. . .
"Has a next or higher level lottery pool ever been discussed whereas the minimum 7-day hashrate would be something higher such as 10TH/s to 20TH/s? The overall total hashrate could potentially be astounding with fewer splits meaning higher profits for those involved. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem pointing my bigger workers at something better than earning a few satoshis or just solo mining alone. Call it the Big Pool, Muscle Pool, or something catchy just for fun. Just a thought (after a couple of beers)."So, what I was wondering was if a "new additional" second pool with higher minimums had ever been considered. In other words, for example, if a second pool ran a minimum of say 20TH/s and there were say for example 50 miners onboard we'd be pushing 1000TH/s. Of course, it could be a minimum of say 10TH/s, 15TH/s, 20TH/s, or even 25TH/s and that would of course determine the average number of miners onboard which in turn would determine the overall split - which I would think would be much lower than say 144+/- miners requiring only a 200 GHs minimum. This was what my original question was referring to. I suspect there's more than a few of us with "middle-ground" miners only earning a few satoshis a day on big pools or just solo mining alone. This could be a step up in fun. Anyway, sorry for the confusion.
And by the way, I still think you're the one with the administrative prowess to do it.
Cheers!
