I feel bad for you Devianttwo, must be such a headache having to constantly deal with this.  Sad

Its not really my fault. sure its a headache but I just deal with it.

Oh I wasn't implying anything was your fault. Just saying as someone who manages websites, I know how it feels dealing with hackers, spam and other kinds of bullshit.

yeah I know.  it completely sucks.

My hosting provider gave me 12 hours to email them in reguards to the DDOS attack we have been suffering.  I emailed them in 3 hours and THEY DIDN'T ANSWER! Now they shut my server machine off.  I am trying to contact them

http://lot.hackshardgaming.net offline until further notice.

** 1st Update 9:08 PM ** Coins should still be safely stored on the server. My Hosting provider only disabled the internet to the machine.

** 2nd Update 9:11 PM ** Update from my hosting provider,  The technicians are a little backed up right now.  They should respond within the next few hours.  Please standby for further updates.

you dont need to replace the asterick with a number in the config no. its a wild card. so 127.0.0.* means u can point ur cgminer (or gui in ur case) at 127.0.0.10 or 127.0.0.254 (or just type localhost:1234 wher 1234=port in config file).

id stick with a pool personally. i ran solo for 6 hours earlier with 1800khash and got peanuts. Sure some people get lucky but so do some pools - unless ur gonna stick with solo for a good long while dont get into it is my advice - difficulty is a bit too high imo.

edit: i got 32K in my first hour of solo and thought i was into a winner....it increased by only 8000 for the remaining 5 hours!

After 24 hours pool mining @nut2pools I am a bit disappointed about my rewards, because they are much lower than I have expected.

24 hours mining @732 kh/s gave me 120000 LOTs

I have monitored the difficulty over this time and the difficulty was between 1 and 1,5 on average.
Using this calculator (http://www.virtualnet.hr/lottocoin-mining-calc/) with 730 kh/s and a difficulty of 1.5, it calculates between 275k-390k coins per day depending on the projected rewards per block, so 2x-3x more coins than I got.

Why is that? I thought with the combined bigger hashrate of a pool the factor luck is decreasing and you get rewards which are closer of that what is estimated.

Because of this I have decided to give solo mining a try.
If I have solo mined the last 24 hours, my rewards had been much better than pool mining.
Using the litecoin mining calculator (https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc) only for calculating the expected time per block by setting
hashrate @730 kh/s
difficulty @1.5
it shows me a expected time per block of 2 hours 27 min. So lets say with a bit of bad luck I would need 4 hours on average for mining one block of 32896 coins (average of 256 and 65536 coins per block, superblocks excluded).
So my estimated coins should be 197376 (32896*24/4) referring to a worse case, but they would be still much higher than with pool mining.

Pls correct me, if that's wrong calculated.

On these grounds I will try solo mining. Do you think it's still profitable for me with 730 kh/s if the difficulty rises to 2-3?

And could you please confirm that I have typed in everything correctly? I'm a bit unsure, because it's my first time solo mining.

This is my lottocoin.conf (do I have to replace the "*" with a specific number or is it right?)
saved @ C:\Users\Phil\AppData\Roaming\LottoCoin

And this is my setting on guiminer

If I press start it starts mining without an error, so it works correctly?
And do I have to put my wallet address (LkB53APhKZnWfkfvjZx2hZDLGG7rXf8aKg) somewhere, that my guiminer knows whereto send the rewards?

Thanks a lot for answering! Smiley

30 minutes of solo mining (3* R9 280x): one block = 58000, second block found and lost (transactions counter increased but no coins received - was that orphan?)

Yep, that's what happens with an orphan.

Hi all;

I'm proud to announce that first round has ended, and all players can check their tickets. And see how that works Smiley
Automatically, a next round has started and you can place tickets for period of next 23h 50-something minutes.

Which also gives me joy to present you with last updates today:
  • Changed the lottery part, you can now tick on numbers rather than input them. I'll also work a bit on styling more.
  • Added some cool outputs up and at side
  • Introduced "Lotto Round History" page for overview of rounds.

I'll be off to sleep now, and if anyone has hit anything above 3 matches, do share. In any case - good luck!

Check your Recjects (R) and hardware errors (H) in cgminer. Both should be as low as possible.

No card, no config, no help.. Sorry dude.. Go read some forum posts.. mining isn't a magical spoon feed me and get rich quick scheme.. You gotta know your hardware, tweak your configs, and read lots of forum posts.

I was not asking about my hashrate, but about the spread between it and the amount shown on the pool. I edited the post so it's better understandable

also, my workers found 146,545 coins on hackshardgaming.net, but i got only 30000, and i feel sad about that  Undecided.
I was really luck/unluck or i was a victim of the DDOS? Is there a way to rule that out?

cgminer say i can hash @ more than 400 kh/s, but everytime i set the intensity at more than 15 my hashrate on the pool (not on cgminer) drop to 200 or less. If i set intensity to 13-15 it works just fine, roughly same rates on cgminer and pool.
this is the first time i'm mining, any idea about why this is happening? it's me or the pool?

It was bad idea that i started solo mining with 150kh/s  Tongue 4 hours and nothing ;/ I should stay on pool hehe.

I told you...  Grin

@BachMann: Yes, it's greatly luckbased. But it depends on diff and hashrate, too ;-)

I have seen people mine blocks worth 256 coins.  I have seen people mine blocks worth 65k coins.  If you get a 256 block after 4 hours you should just start busting out laughing for wasting your time to be honest with you.  Our average "Per Block Reward" on http://lot.hackshardgaming.net, before breaking it up, is currently about 34k coins.  That is why I will always say pool mining is better for slow systems.  and even some fast ones.

I have to agree with ^^, Pool mining has indeed been a lot easier for me with only 300kh's.

Guys don't forget to check CoinBomb!

Coinbomb.biz/lottocoin

Easily get 20% off your investment. Buy a bomb while prices are still low! This will skyrocket in a few days. Most bombs are still fresh and far from explosion. For instance, I expect LOT4 to reach at least 4M-5M, yet you have the chance right now to buy it for a mere 2.5M! Easy million lottos. Even LOT1 is already at 4M, just to show that I'm not crazy in my assumptions. This is the real deal
