Wow... Altcoin values (against BTC) got totally smoked with this massive pump in BTC price.

Well I have an idea, why not throw a little twist into this rollercoaster. What if we extended it by 2 months - or whatever the group decides.
As mentioned we may be looking at a good couple of months for alts, as they tend to follow a BTC run. This could either help you find the desire to run a 3rd round or be the nail in the coffin for the amusement park, for now.

If you find the motivation for a round #3 after all, I'd be definitely interested in participating. While I don't have much faith in alts it looks like the next few months could be fun and having skin in the game would make things more interesting still.

Third time is the charm, three strikes - you're out.. I'm sure there are other saying that would be in favor of a third round! At some point we're bound to come ahead, and besides I doubt there are that many of us participating in this experiment that are sincerely disappointed with the lack of financial gain. We understood the risks and this was as likely an ending as any; all things considered, at least we're not walking away empty-handed because of an exchange hack (don't let me speak too soon, either).

Probably for the best LoyceV. Even though this is transparent and harmless, you are opening yourself up to being accused of running a loss making scam and attempting to circumvent taxes for your investors should they profit. I know from experience. Most members will turn a blind eye and not even defend you. This is why we can’t have fun things here.

I’m pretty sure stil 1% is even filing taxes, due to the confusion and incompetence of direction the IRS is supposedly honoring no file status until they come up with better instructions anyone threatening someone else for not filing crypto taxes should be labeled properly and shouldn’t be trusted at all imho

I wonder if it is practical to create a coin, manufactured with a similar idea/purpose in mind. I know selling funded coins can be a bit tricky, but even if it was unfunded - DIY or buyer funded and associated with a thread around here. I'm just spit-balling, but I think there's a fun idea in there somewhere.

I’d offer to run one, but I’m not sure about the legalities of it and tax repercussions. With Vod running around threatening to file tax claims against users here, I’d be careful about proceeding with this type of thing.

LOL @LoyceV, I mean bloody hell, right? We were doing well for the majority of the 10 months, and then our final month comes up and Bitcoin comes down and whacks us good. Always a painful reminder never to dismiss good old BTC.
Second time in a row I'm disappointed with how my pick turned out, though this second time around it has done really horrible. Monero is also such a downer, no matter how much I love that coin.
