Many people believe that the crisis in Venezuela and the upcoming halving event is the cause.

But I also found out that btc and ltc are closely connected, maybe it's also because of btc's growth

But this is not the case here.

BTC is rather stable when LTC has been bullish for some time, and that is why LTC is becoming more expensive, against BTC, like shown in the graph I posted.

For the rest, it's a valid statement that in general, the whole crypto world is connected to Bitcoin.

Hi,
LTC seems to be doing alright, lately. Especially against BTC. It's going up on a steady pace.

I was looking at the coingecko graph and I notice that the trading volume looks very solid, lately, and it seems to go upwards. (Not sure btw where coingecko gets its info from).

Two questions.

a) Why is Litcoin doing so well of late?

b) How can we explain that solid trading volume?

thanks
1) I suppose there was growth because of mimblewimble implementation
But I also found out that btc and ltc are closely connected, maybe it's also because of btc's growth

This situation has happened and I think that this is due to the increased interest of the community in this project. You see how today a very large number of people are trying to earn money and they can do it, but it is already too late here, but this is my opinion.

Good analyze there
And yeah, most of the major altcoin aside from Bitcoin are actually accumulating up its volume and price were moving upwards

But still, it really looks at if the momentum keeps up or just a short term one
If the volume can consistently went up, you know what's the next thing Smiley - Bull

Litecoin already had the price it never deserved.

I seem not to get where your idea is. Are you saying ltc doesn't deserve the price on the high or on the low ?

Anyway, Ltc is a very good coin and has made some good moves to show that from 2017 before the bear. So, I don't know if I'm supporting your views on ltc  Grin

For us now the litecoin price has started to rise and is quite profitable. for the end of the year there seems to be more improvement. litecoin
This is a crypto currency that has great potential. By the end of 2018 it will increase rapidly. And litecoin has great potential and a bright future.
Litecoin offers lowered transaction fees, making it a more economical choice for transactions. The progress of Litcoin over Bitcoin can be seen directly from the ltc to btc graph.
If anyone wants to profit from litecoin, this is the right time to buy.

a) Why is Litcoin doing so well of late?

LTC all-time-high: $360
Current price: $59

So it is still far cry for it's all-time-high. We have been bitcoin going strong lately and touches $4k, and as we all know that altcoins follow bitcoin price, so this might be the likely case for now.

b) How can we explain that solid trading volume?

thanks

Please see my answer on your first question. But I will tell you a little secret about Litecoin. There will be a block halving in 136 days so be sure to stack up today and accumulate and wait for the next block halving and I'm sure that the price could go on another all-time-high. Grin

https://www.litecoinblockhalf.com/

I do have a small amount of litecoin, but I'm not updated very much on Litecoin, this is the first time I read about Litecoin block halving, I guess this the right time to accumulate Litecoin right now that's only 4 months away it's one of the most stable right now compared to Eth and Bitcoin.

Litecoin already had the price it never deserved.

That as a statement doesn't make much sense except if you back it up with some objective data. Which I'm sure, you can't. I mean, what does it even mean in that context the word "deserves"...

The same way someone can say "Bitcoin reached a price it never deserverd" or "gold reached a price it never deserved" or "diamonds reached a price they never deserved".

It's not a question whether it is useful (which btw it is), and it's not even a question whether we could pay with bitcoin instead of litecoin (the world could just use USD but there is EUR together with a long list of other fiat).

It's the law of supply and demand, among other things, that makes things have a certain price.

Litecoin already had the price it never deserved. However, until a few months ago, the situation caused the prices to be traded at very low prices. And I am associating it with the saying that ''the price drops more and more is the reason for the increase".

since we can make use of bitcoin instead.

Who is "we" ?

I'm asking because personally I prefer paying with litecoin instead of bitcoin. One of the reasons is because prices make more sense in LTC than in BTC where you end up using zeros after the decimal. Of course you can say "satoshi" but usually you just see amounts in BTC.

When I know that LTC is, for example, 50 EUR and something costs 2 LTC, in an instant I have a sense of the price in my everyday currency, the euro. When I know that BTC is about 3500 EUR and something costs 0,03 BTC I cannot adjust that quickly. But then again, that's how it works with me.

I'm sure someone else prefers to pay in DASH for his own reasons.

So, there's no real "we". There are lots of currencies, and we all pick the ones we like to use.

Why are people head bent on seeing the price of LTC go up, I am saying this because I have seen a lot of topics on the growth in the price of LTC even more than the growth in the price of bitcoin. I don't think LTC have anything new to offer for now because all it's features can also be found in bitcoin making the coin not so useful since we can make use of bitcoin instead.

Though I am sure that we are going to see a significant rise in the price of litecoin because it is one of the coin that was first founded in the onset of cryptocurrency and it's controlled by an influencer.

Base in the LTC price and trading volume in the past of this i think we can trust the developer of this because we can see already that this grow so that's why this is turn popular like this cryptocurrency have potential so users want to risk in this even this is really drops a lot

Then this can really back to high price so better to invest now and i recommend to buy with gap like buy every drops because this will go high anytime

Joining the mimble wimble protocol and approaching the block reward halving, do make sense.

Thanks.

Investors are trying to pour savings into other coins besides bicoin, which is not surprising given the situation in the market, everyone wants to find a stable coin.

I think it is a very good thing for ltc, I really don't know reasons for the price spike but good to see the pairs lively and making good profits for its investors. I wish I made some investment on ltc, would have been smiling

definitely, the percentage of improvement is more improved in LTC to do so I think from this situation to take off this very important father development of LTC and make instabilities also very comfortable with the investor's right now.

litecoin has always followed bitcoin. in fact LTC has been the only altcoin that has always followed bitcoin, for example when bitcoin rises LTC follows while other altcoins get dumped.

and right now bitcoin is in its accumulation phase and if you look at the charts it is the exact same thing, higher volume a slight price rise and the price is getting ready for a launch.

Well you can't cry fair deal just because of the limited increase and steady trading volume of LTC because before it arrived at this price don't forget LTC was at it all time high of $360 and now trading at $50 above.

a) I assume its due to the implementation/test of mimblewimble.
b) Litecoins halving will take place by August time.
