Today we've added support to keep track of your lite.coin-pool.com accounts to CryptFolio (thread).

CryptFolio helps you safely keep track of mining pool balances and worker hashrates over time, and generates reports (such as your overall USD net worth and historical hashrates).

Very cool. Thank you.

No problem at all. The pool has grown quite a bit and now broke into the top 10.
Still 0% fees.

Pushing 800 mhash/sec now days.

I just seem to support the thread over at litecointalk.org more then this one. the alt coin forum is wicked crazy with all the coins now days.

Hi all,

Please withdraw your LTC from the pool! I have plenty of miners who have more then 10 LTC sitting in their account. Quite a few have 20+. Some have greater then 40 LTC.
With the withdraw fee being a tiny .02 LTC, which is like 4-5 cents USD, I really do not understand why you would want your LTC in the pool wallet.

At first I thought it was "neat" to see the pool wallet have a balance of 500+ LTC. Now I realize it is a liability for me. If the pool gets hacked and the LTC stolen I have to
cover those LTC. It is a pain in the rear for all parties involved. I do not want control of your coins. They are yours, take them! :-)

I recommend smaller miners do auto withdraws when they reach 2-5 LTC.
I recommend medium sized miners do auto withdraws when they reach 5-10 LTC.
I recommend large miners do auto withdraws when they reach 15-25 LTC.

I recommend running the litecoin client on a computer that is safe. A safe computer would be one that you are careful with and do not visit strange websites or download goofy
programs from untrusted sources. Send the coins to a wallet only you control. Do not trust online wallets. They have a history of screwing over users.

Once the coins are in a wallet only you control use the encrypt function of the client so you need a super strong password to send the coins anywhere. Then write down that password and keep it somewhere safe in your home.

If the problem of users using the pool as an online wallet continues I will have to send coins into a safe cold storage and if you have mined long enough you know what
will eventually happen. The hot wallet runs out, you need to post here and complain, and I have to send coins to the hot wallet so people can withdraw. One never knows
when users will withdraw and that drains the hot wallet.

In summary, I do not want your LTC. You earned them and if they get stolen from the pool I would rather cover 250 LTC and not 1500 LTC. Take them please.

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 - The lastNshares value for the PPLNS payout system has been modified to 2,000,000 from 500,000. As difficulty grows this value had to be increased. It will also allow miners who drop out during a longer round to capture some of the reward from finding a block as long as they submit shares into the last 2,000,000 recorded. Please keep an eye on your payments for the next week and report any problems to me. Thank you.

Ok. Here is how the give away will work when discussing the 3 LTC sathackr donated to it that he won. He realizes that 3 LTC is not a lot to miners who have a lot of hashing power. So who would consider .5 LTC to be a lot? Well people with very little hashing power who are trying to accumulate some litecoin. I figured this contest was fair in the sense that sathackr actually won it so I can create a contest that is biased to miners with less hashing power then most of us. So I hope there is no hard feelings to those with slightly more hashing power or a lot more since this 3 LTC was donated to a contest of my choice.

I created a list of miners that were paid out from the long round AND had less then 100 shares AND had never won before.
I will use the linux cli tool "shuf" and it will randomly pick out 6 lines from the file. Those 6 users will each get .5 LTC directly credited to their account.

sh-4.1# cat list_users_contest.txt
...
...

So the winners are bartito686, surefox, holyslayer, jp3rks, Travellingman, nano3ds

I am crediting .5 LTC to your account right now.

The stratum daemon was restarted 3 times in order to optimize the process and turn down some logging that was no longer needed.

Please check your miners when you get a chance to make sure they are working properly.

Thanks.

The pool found it's 100th block yesterday. To say thank you to all the miners on the pool I wanted to give some LTC away via a drawing.
I did not announce this drawing ahead of time because I figured I should reward those who mined with no expectation for a chance to win.
I will post the list of miners on the pool who were mining to find that 100th block. I will randomly draw 10 users and give them 1 LTC each.
I realize that larger miners do not consider 1 LTC to be much but miners with less hashing power may enjoy winning this bonus.
A miner can only win once.  If fcmatt or 4g4g42 win we will not keep that 1 LTC and I will continue to pick until someone else wins it.

Here is the list of users. The order is your position in the list, your username:uid.

Using a linux command line tool here are the results.

[admin@coin-pool /]$ shuf -i 1-91 -n 1

I have directly credited 1 LTC to each of their balances. Please post if you feel I made a mistake in some way.

Thanks again.

I found the problem in the code where a bad litecoin address could be entered and I corrected it. I do not think
the payout issue will happen again. So if anyone sees any problem with timely and quick payouts please post
here and I will see it. Thanks.

It looks like we had an orphan block. We have not had one in a long time. Reviewing things to make sure.

I found the problem. It was nothing you did. It was a different user who managed to put an invalid LTC address. So in the end it was a bug and I will have to review the code to find out why it happened.

Your LTC and a few others is on the way.

Thank you for reporting the problem and I will follow up with an email to you by replying to what you sent me.

My funds wont release off of the website. I've tried to send an email and haven't heard back in a day or two... Wanted to see if someone from coin-pool could take a look?

Can you tell me the sequence of steps you went through to do a payout?

Your threshhold is just slightly above your current balance so that will not kick out payment. I assume you did a manual payout?
I see the flag in the db saying you should be paid but it did not fire off to you. I would love to know if you discovered a bug.

I am on a tablet so i am going to hop in my pc and send you your ltc right away. Sorry about this. I rarely get emails so i only check it every other day.

I will look into this. What is your username on the pool? I am asking because it may not be your username here.

The last block came up unknown so I had to refer to the logs to figure out who found it.

Here is the proof I can show everyone that it was petraki77

2013-07-09 01:30:01,120 INFO template_registry # We found a block candidate! 0000000000297d572cb37de879404ca0fce5d0074255d903935dc36d22e33048
2013-07-09 01:30:01,122 INFO interfaces # 0000000000297d572cb37de879404ca0fce5d0074255d903935dc36d22e33048 valid petraki77.2

So I am going to change unknown to petraki77 and credit his balance 2 LTC in just a moment.

The 2 LTC bonus for block finders is now over. I need to come up with a new promotion in the next week.

Here is the summary.

sathackr = 7 blocks found
jaybee    = 2 blocks found
googoo   = 2 blocks found
cabbagetang = 2 blocks found
kewal      = 1 block found
a1java    = 1 block found
sirensongs = 1 block found
colt          = 1 block found
yeager1977 = 1 block found
jz3jax      = 1 block found
petraki77 = 1 block found

Thank you to all for mining at this pool.
