What is the version of the wallet software you are using?
What is your computer operating system?
Does an error message pop up when you start the wallet?
Is there a message at the bottom of the wallet software window? (does it simply say unable to sync, or does it show a block number where it has hung?)

hello LTCD community !

Is there a chance to get coinmarketcap.com to update the logo of LTCD?

Also you need someone to grammar check your website. Lots of Pidgeon-English could put off future investors who might be browsing around.

I posted request in their thread :-)

Did you get any response to this? I'm not sure where on the forum to look.

I haven't seen any reply post back in that thread

That's a pity. It would take a lot of away from the coin if they leave an illiterate looking webpage to front it.

Tank u very much guys! I feel much more comfortable if i have my coins on my Computer with a backup then have them on any site

1. Just go to "My Computer".
2. Click on "Tools" in the window menu, above.
3. Click on "Folder Options....
4. Go to "View".
5. Tick "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"
6. Click "apply"

7. Got to "Local Disk (C:)/Users"
8. Find and open your username folder. Will be somewhere between folders called Default and Public. Will probably have padlock icon next to it.
9. Open folder "AppData"
10. Open folder "Roaming"
11. Find and open folder "LitecoinDark". You will find wallet.dat file there.
12. Copy this file somewhere safe.
For example, burn it on CD/DVD, or copy toflashdrive, or even pack it to zip/rar archive which is secured with password and send the file to one of your safe e-mail addresses.

!!! Also, remember to encrypt your LitecoinDark QT wallet with password (Settings/Encrypt Wallet) !!!
Then, every time when you send a transaction you will be required to type your password. Try to choose some complicated password, you have never used before. Mixture of digits and lower/uppercase letters.
Even if someone steals your wallet.dat file it will be no use to them if they don't know the password.

The best is to memorize this password but, if you have short memory retention (like me), then you can write it down somewhere safe, in no obvious place. You can even give one copy of the note to someone you trust to keep it safe, like your mum for example :-)

That should do ;-)

Never keep more than you can afford to lose on an exchange. Always use your wallet.

LTCD ist the first coin i invested in (200k Coins) and before i only used Bitcoin on Blockchain Online Wallet

Maybe a stupid question but if i Transfer my 200k LTCD from Bittrex to the Windows Wallet.. what happens if my PC crashes or something? Are the coins lost then?

Tank u if somebody could answer this newbie question Cheesy

You can transfer them to your pc wallet and then backup the wallet.dat file on a flashdrive or some other removable media if you like. When the coins are in the wallet, just go to File > Backup Wallet and then pick the location to backup the file.

And to save more time you can go to start menu, then in the search engine type %appdata%, click the roaming folder that comes up, find the Litecoindark folder and copy the entire folder which holds the blockchain. That way youll have faster recovery time, you wont have to wait for the blockchain to download all over again.

You should back them up else where just in case. Just type %appdata% in the search programs and files box and then look for the LitecoinDark folder. There will be a file called wallet. Just back that up to another computer or storage device and you're good.

Just back up your wallet.dat file onto a flash drive and or cd and then if your computer crashes, you can still recover your coins. Do you know how to do that?
