Someone had said that the coin is tax free.  Well, the answer to that is in the USA it IS taxable ONLY when sold.

In the USA, the crypto coins fall under the jurisdiction of the IRS and FinCEN.
FinCEN ruled that if you mine the coin and sell/use it for personal use (i.e. buy goods/services with the coin or via converted coin to usd) no license is needed.
All other types of xfers requires Money Transfer Business license (i.e. yu would be treated as a trader and would need to be licensed like exchanges are).

As for the IRS; income from the coin is taxable ONLY when it is sold and is treated like gambling income.

I've researched this as I am a  tax preparer.

I suspect the EU has similar laws.

LINKS please, to prove your point. Otherwise it means nothing...
(Site the specific IRS announcement or statutes, etc...)

We've made some "small solution" to our miners, thanks to TrollByFire!
He send us coins equal to 6 blocks.
Those coins will be distributed as follows:
4 blocks will be paid based on % of shares of total invalid blocks mined by past few hours.
other 2+50% of our valid pool fee will also be distributed on the same scheme as a bonus.

We realise that it's not much but in this scenario is the best we can do.

Please keep in mind, this will be done by hand and will take at least few hours.

Thanks again to TrollByFire!

At last we've finished processing of the whole 1100+ invalid blocks ... It was a little hell !
All people who mined at our pool LTCD.HASHLINK.EU during the invalid fork, please check this link and update your wallet address: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nE39FCpb1NG0ALJVcAAiWfbdJ5SyUKVq6fJimrOE-RY/edit?pli=1#gid=0
If you have any questions or find any inconsistent, please let us know at [email protected].

If everything is OK, we'll start to send coins after 12 hours.

Best Regards,
Hashlink.EU Team

The address on the pool website is up to date. Is this all required of us? Will the coins be credited to our balance on the pool for withdrawal?

As hilarious as this is, a few groups you mentioned don't belong in the mix. Stormtroopers and ewoks are REAL... aren't they?  Huh

I don't know why people find it hard to believe that organized crime might have taken an interest in this coin.

Look at wallet LZWdVYZynD2DEXcYzrTRtBPuvv3nJGm82a on the rich list. Whoever owns this has got $10,000 tax free US dollars for free.

This money wasn't worked for, wasn't earned, wasn't stolen, no-one was killed, sold into prostitution and no bribes were required.  It just magically appeared from nowhere.

How could the mafia be so stupid as to NOT to be involved?

That $10,000 could easily have been a $1,000,000 if things had worked out.  It sill might but when you look at the general trends of other cryptos that ship might have sailed.

If there are angry gypsies involved they might have just accelerated the usual process by a few days.

In a place like Romania or Russia, rent and electricity is free for the mafia.  Computer equipment, ASICs, etc. just "fall off the truck" on the way from the dock.

Making a coin is easy on the programming side; just copy and paste and make lots of promises.  I couldn't do it, but these skills are easy to find in Romania:

http://www.wired.com/2011/01/ff_hackerville_romania/all/

http://www.worldcrunch.com/tech-science/in-romania-a-quiet-city-has-become-the-global-hub-for-hackers-and-online-crooks/hacking-hacker-romania-pirate-scam-internet-website/c4s10532/

If you guys pissed off a group like this it would be easy for them to crash LCTD and make a new coin complete with LTCD's still promised features.

All it would take is simplistic coding and putting up an ANN on BTC with a nice logo and a good English speaker to answer questions, be chirpy and fend off FUD.

They wouldn't actually loose money but instead just make more magic money another way.

Some of the FUD got so bad that I ended up putting some on ignore. Got so tired of that fud.
I believe in this coin and am holding my coins.  If anything, all the FUD has done is make me hold my coins even more than before it started.
Looking forward to what the DEVS bring out next for the coin.

Agreed. The page took a turn for the weird when there was talk of gypsy gangsters taking offence on twitter and making a revenge pact to destroy the coin.. I mean, wut..

Rule #1 of FUD. If there seems to be a lot of FUD. People are trying to make money off you.

"gypsy gangsters taking offence on twitter and making a revenge pact to destroy the coin"

Anonymous romanian gypsy gangters, using a social media broadcasting platform on the world wide web, are trying to manipulate the exchange rate of a virtual cryptographic currency in a virtual market, because they were offended by other anonymous users' comments about the avatar image they chose for their crypto currency propaganda channel on that social network.

We are living in a Neal Stephenson novel.

lmao +1 careful they might sell the millions and millions of coins they have and crash the price . Oh and the avatar they choose has a 120 something followers Wow that's a lot of people out of 6 billion world wide.

That screamer Flapman1 was actually pretty coherent for a paragraph or two when he explained the situation. The forum's response was to call him a homosexual.  Why is that even important?

While someone in the forums may have made these comments, I'm 100% positive that it did not come from myself nor anyone on the LTCD team. I think this may have to do with some of the negativity we keep seeing.

I officially do not and will never condone personal attacks on anyone regardless of how bad they're trolling, FUDding or anything else based on the nationality, heritage, sexual or lifestyle preference or any other reason whatsoever.

Sometimes even our supporters get overzealous, and it needs to stop before it turns to hate.  From anyone.  That's just not cool, and I don't like it.

I 100% agree with you on this. I believe the comments were misconstrued however. The actual comments made were regarding the @manelecrypto, and yes they were derogatory alluding to the assumption of what may or may not be present under their clothing. Not trying to defend anyone who may have made these derogatory comments by any means, so please do take what I am saying the wrong way. My own sister is gay and I could care less about her sexual preference. It does not make her any less of a sister to me and we happen to be very close. My point in all of this being, once the comments were made about the person fudding via twitter and once in this thread, Flapman1 tried to turn the comments toward himself in what appeared to be an attempt to perpetuate the fudding and turn the whole situation into something it was not.

In my opinion, the whole thing needs to be dropped. It is nothing more than pointless accusations and other nonsense which is potentially shining a bad light on this community and should be left unmentioned to prove these people's actions have no effect on us.
I absoutely agree. This comunity is for everybody..
As long as we all remember to keep it a decent tone with respect for each other.
Let's us build the next great thing together.

What about PoS this will come only we didn't decide the %.

Which method of PoS is being implemented.  Was reading over the NXT, BC PoS V2 and Reddcoin PoSV white papers.  Near as I can tell, NXT resolves the nodes issue with PoS but encourages hoarding.  BC PoS V2 resolves the nodes issue but I didn't quite get how the staking works so not sure if it also encourages hoarding or not. Reddcoin PoSV seems to try and strike a balance between a variety of PoS issues.  Not sure if there are other solutions out there and if there are any that are "perfect".

I have a slightly new and different design for the PoS component in which the primary litecoin wallet will not stake coins automatically.  There is a separate application designed as a type of savings account which will stake coins in a slightly different fashion.  This is all a part of the whitepaper which I will be releasing when it's done
