I never knew that numbers could increase by being lowered 

Within very short time the new Mandatory update will kick in and the reward will be lowered to 16 from 200.
The dev team is working hard as always to bring out new ideas and features and we will keep updating LitecoinDark frequently. Time wise we think we will see the real potential of the coin as soon we release the 2 Gen wallet, but at the moment we are working on a ROI possibility for miners without going in to further details to keep the coin attractive for miners.
The team has agreed on making live interviews soon to be announced as well.
If the community would like to have a monthly live video conference we are open for ideas how to roll out such a service. Let us hear from the community if this is an idea we should follow.
LitecoinDark is under heavy speculation at the moment as you all has noticed as well on both Cryptsy and Bittrex. We see this a healthy sign even though it brings frustration to some community members.
We will not predict what will happen with the value of the coin in the future, but as team we focus on features and easiness of handling witch is a mess in the crypto world today. The coin is very new and we in the team are sure about its potential and it looks like the general crypto world has noticed as well.

- Wallet v 1.2.3 with new features is being build at the moment, soon to be released.

- IOS wallet will be build as soon as Android wallet is finished.
- New block explorer + Richlist has been bought. Release as quickly as possible.

It cant turn to fiat currency because fiat currency currency is issued by authority, out of thin air, with no limit of supply (hence inflation) and is centrally controlled. Cryptocurrencies such as btc, ltc, ltcd are opposite of fiat currencies unless one person holds the majority of it. Even then it still wouldn't be fiat unless it's used by majority of population in geo- political region and has unlimited supply. It would be more of a currency which is privately controlled in order to acquire power.

You are right, the price will not skyrocket the instant the reward is cut. But It might see a rise during the coming weeks as a result as less selling pressure. Moreover, when feature will be released, price can go up easier.

Yea, mining is to gain potential profit, so we might lose quite a few, thts why its important to POS.
Helps with loss of miners.
I somehow only expect a rise when the coins gets features released instead of having less mining rewards.
I've never bought coins just because the rewards halved but due to features.
If ppl wanted to buy they already have bought regardless of rewards imo.
 I don't expect much change in price personally without hype around a feature.

I agree with your assessment. I have a feeling that the miners of this coin are quite eager to turn a profit, with the stagnation of the market. If the miners have held this long, I think the reduction of rewards may make the price increase. Remember, miners are the majority of sellers here. If there is less supply from them, the price will increase (in a simple world).

I see 2 options :
-Net Hashrate falls and adjusts to current price, price may rise a bit
-Net Hashrate stays more or less the same, as well as difficulty. Price adjusts because miners don't sell. Big rise in price.

Honestly I hope for the 2nd option but, I think it depends on the determination of miners to be able to hold. Normally miners don't mine when it is not profitable..

Maybe it's time to start debating about (new) coin functions? For example, where is the emphasis on full anonimity, can't seem to see it as a big pro on ltcd anywehere, while it's the main reason for dark right?
