Even if there is only a single customer who ordered with paypal, it's enough to have a
better feeling because some real life data of him is known. (I really hate PP, but it
has some benefits I have to admit)

How did someone buy with PayPal. PayPal was only accepted for hardware purchases back in the beginning. LTC Gear website only accepts bitcoin, litecoin, etc. PayPal logo is a remnant of days past.
I don't think that's true. I read from several people who paid with paypal for shares a couple of weeks ago (for example, one
guy in this thread, just check 20-30 30-80 pages before. I don't have the time right now..). Chris enabled paypal upon request for
individual sales. He made some explanations on ltctalk, the reason why he had to enable it manually was that there was a strict
limit on how much $'s he can accept each month.

AFAIK paypal option is enable for some specific IP only.

I emailed him and asked for PayPal and he never responded. That's just my experience though.
Ya well, that's not surprising Cheesy It takes luck and persistance to get a respond from him, no matter
on what topic. No response is to be read as "no more paypal slots available for this month, sorry mate".
It's also possible that he stopped paypal completely several weeks ago, but there are certainly customers
in existence which payed with paypal for shares in the last 6 months. If ltcgear goes bust, you can bet
they'll share the data.

Chris sure seems to be making attempts and putting in work to get ltcgear back to its former glory. At first I thought he was just going to scam us but not I am not so sure. He might have actually suffered from a hack. I mean why go through all this trouble redoing the website putting up support forms etc if your going to just scam people (like PBmining said Ill "try" my best with no results thusfar compared to Chris)

He's been putting in a decent amount of work.  No scammer would even waste the time with it.

agreed, he does look legit at this point.

That is the only reason why I still have hope Smiley

I agree but many people who bought shares with Paypal are likely contemplating filing charge backs in the next week or two if nothing changes with the payments (regardless of the final outcome of LTCgear).

It would be interesting to know how many people in total purchased via PayPal.

Truth will out!
I'm going to stay in that topic for future updates  Roll Eyes
Some of my NXT Asset payments depend on the LTCGear payments, so I want to keep informed of everything that happens.

The site is now hosted at OVH. At first I thought this is awesome news,
as this is a serious company which for sure verifies and keeps record of the identities of
its clients. (I'm not so sure anymore as hosting is a terribly intransparent business and there are
probably resellers with less strict policies.)

Still it gives me some confidence that everything will return to normal next week.
Yes, it gives me some confidence too. Good news if they're using a serious service.
