I can vouch for MemCid(not that I'm a hero member). I bought 600 shares from him yesterday. Do it through the ltcgear irc and he posts the transaction publicly there. I felt comfortable enough with that. He can be trusted.

The risk is not so high, you could do like ping-pong: pay for 50 shares, receive 50 shares, repeat
that 10 times. Then your possible loss is quite small. I might be willing to sell some of mine, not
sure yet.. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

There are available but quite rarely. I would suggest to go to private seller, there a few quite reputable.

I also got the btc..
You have to add ftc address at the start of the week. And no need change the coin type. If you want ftc, put ltc as coin choice.
I don't think ftc is profitable.
