The blackjack works pretty well for me.

The 'double' button has the 'e' on a different line than the 'doubl'.  (See picture at end of post).

It would be good if hands were logged in the chat maybe.  Sometimes I didn't notice what the result of a hand was in time, and there's no way of looking back.

I've not been able to play multi-player.  My colleague tried to play but "you already received your welcome bonus" (presumably because she has the same IP address as me).

It feels kind of slow.  But that may be because of my 700 ms ping times.  (I'm in Canada, not the US).

I'm only allowed to play one seat at a time.  I can't find a way of leaving my seat.

I had problems registering, and in the end ended up not registering. Every time I clicked a link, it would take me to a google sign -page, and ask me to release details to you. I eventually did agree, but even when I did, I tried clicking a link and it took me through the same process. Each page was taking about 45 seconds to load as well, and the chat box didn't work for me. I just wanted to let you in on these bugs I found.

We are currently testing a new game, blackjack. Please help by going here:
http://dev.luckco.in/#blackjack/bj

Things you need to know:
* You cannot join mid game (doing so gives error messages). Just press F5 until it seems to work
* We are playing for test money. You cannot deposit or withdraw on the development site (dev.luckco.in)
* List of known bugs/missing features
* Report bugs to [email protected] or on github (better)

You can figure that out from this + this

The wizard of odds page has the exact same number of possibilities per outcome as I calculated, so I guess my analysis was correct, and that the pot has to be around 23100 before the game is +EV.

Odd.  The chat seems to work, but clicking the games results in nothing.

I turned off AdBlock in the domain, so it doesn't seem to be that.

Using Chrome.

It looks to me like the pot needs to be around 23100 chips before it's +EV to play.

I thought I remembered you telling us that the red-white-blue slot was +EV with the current jackpot size, but can't find it anywhere now.  I guess it must have been in the in-game chat.  Either that or I imagined it.

I've seen something similar, thanks for reporting. (Restarting game now to see if that will fix it temporarily)

I just clicked the 'kitty' game and saw 'too late' as my time, even though I thought I clicked in time.

Then I saw the chat.  It told me (three times) that I won:

I tried working out the payout of the red-white-blue slot.  I was curious about whether the large (16k) jackpot made it +EV to play or not.

According to my calculations it doesn't.  It looks to me like the pot needs to be around 23100 chips before it's +EV to play.

Is that right?

The code I wrote to calculate the payout is at http://pastie.org/5624193 but I'm not sure it's right.  It calculates the payout as 98.09% for the standard jackpot of 8100, which is pretty close to what has been written in this thread above:

Quote

         1   ( 0.0004%)   8100   0.0103   red 7, wht 7, blu 7
         3   ( 0.0011%)   4050   0.0154   red 7, red 7, red 7
        42   ( 0.0160%)    675   0.0360   wht 7, wht 7, wht 7
        42   ( 0.0160%)    525   0.0280   blu 7, blu 7, blu 7
      1199   ( 0.4574%)    300   0.4574   any 7, any 7, any 7
       180   ( 0.0687%)    165   0.0378   1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar
       210   ( 0.0801%)    120   0.0320   3 bar, 3 bar, 3 bar
       378   ( 0.1442%)     90   0.0433   2 bar, 2 bar, 2 bar
       432   ( 0.1648%)     30   0.0165   1 bar, 1 bar, 1 bar
       113   ( 0.0431%)     75   0.0108   red, white, blue
      7977   ( 3.0430%)     15   0.1521   any 3 bars
      2127   ( 0.8114%)      6   0.0162   any 3 same colour
     32768   (12.5000%)      3   0.1250   3 blanks
    216672   (82.6538%)      0   0.0000   lose
    ------                       ------
    262144   (17.3462% win)      0.9809 payout per 1 chip

As you can see, each 8k in the pot adds about 1% to the payout, so an extra 16k is needed to bring the payout up to 100%, making a total pot of around 24k.

I'm currently seeding jackpots very high to attract new customers. At some point this will no longer be unnecessary as the users will increase the jackpots quickly themselves.

Back to my question, how can a referral scheme reward real users inviting real friends and not reward abusers?

I don't think it can.  There's no way you can tell whether the people I'm referring are real friends and not just new accounts I made myself.

I've been on the wrong end of this before, referring friends in good faith and being accused of being a liar as a result.  I referred 2 or 3 people, encouraged them to make deposits, and got myself banned as a result because the site operator thought the people were all just copies of myself.  I guess it's a tough call trying to decide who's legit and who isn't, and it's easy to get it wrong.  But it looks bad when you do.

I've been asked about referral programs. How do you guys feel about this?

I think it's a good idea, but I don't know how you would afford to pay it given that your games already have such a tiny (often negative) edge anyway.

A few bonus chips for referrals would be nice.

So close Sad never been dealt JQKA same suit on first deal before.

I've only seen that once and I've played thousands of hands trying to win the jackpot.

Be aware that you only get the jackpot if you're playing for 5 chips per hand by the way...

I'll adjust the way this works if it becomes a problem. The optimal way, I guess, would be to put a hold on the funds until they are "cleared"

Yes, just disallow withdrawals from any account with unconfirmed deposits.

We now support instant deposits!

I hope you wait for confirmations before allowing withdrawals.

Otherwise I can double-spend a deposit to you and withdraw clean coins.
