No I don't think having a woman beside you gives you more luck unless maybe in poker your opponents might screw up if the girl is really hot & they're too busy staring at her, not fully concentrating on the game.
That's exactly how I see it too! In brick and mortar casinos and online casinos with live dealers, the reason I see why there are usually very attractive ladies and mostly half dressed, is nothing more than to distract the usually more in number - male players and to get their ego to run wild.

Human nature is that we keep on believing with such superstitions that doesn't have an implied proof of existence. This is just happening suddenly and we don't have basis for this thing of having a woman beside you and you'll win. For some this is effective but others are even winning with vast amounts for not having a woman sitting beside them and gives them annoying suggestions to stop gambling.
I think having a woman around will only make a man bolder and prone to taking more risks whatever the activity is. It may be subconscious of course (sometimes) but I've read articles saying how men overeat like crazy on dates to impress women and they don't even know they are doing that because of a biological/evolution propensity.

I know people say about girl power, where women can conquer him with their strength, weaken the heart and emotions of men. I don't think we actually get lucky when we have a woman beside us during gambling. It was more like a psychological thing since as a man we get to be more inspired when someone special is watching us while we play. We tend to show off to that person that we can win no matter what for they would praise us for something that we achieved. Just like in sports, we become more inspired to win the game once we have someone to boast for our success.
I think playing sports and gambling are not same because in sports it depends on your talent and if you can focus and put more efforts you can achieve your success but while gambling you also one another factor called luck which can't be boosted by any person and no one knows when it will come and how it will come. But when a woman is beside you while gambling you more likely lose your concentration and may lose more money.

I don't think it should affect your 'luck' at all. But it is possible to get affected by 'bravado' and make the wrong betting decisions like bet amount, game decisions and risk-taking.

I think there is no influence by a woman beside of us, As you said maybe the inspiration is the right term to say, Also personally, i believe on myself and on my luck i don't need a women to increase our chance or anything else.There is an instance also that it will give you more pressure than being as an inspiration. I'm sure that it will mostly happen if the girl beside you is somewhat related to you, like your girlfriend or your wife. (more pressure if your mom lol). Every lose bet and you'll be receiving a stare like saying "don't gamble our precious money, you should stop now". Well, there's no problem at all if the girl is from a bar from whom you've met last night.

They are not victim, they just chose to believe these type of beliefs and it's a superstition that is being passed through generation to generation. I'm not going to wonder if in the future there will be another beliefs about on what coin to gamble, on what shades to wear, what shoes to wear when you gamble and so on.
