Hey LuckyBit users,

we're trying to decide what to improve next. Here are some of the options - what would you prefer:

  • martingale bot
  • desktop client
  • themes - other graphics
  • altcoins - Litecoin maybe?
  • offchain version
  • api access done
  • investmet possibility like Justdice
  • affilate program

Remember, these are only options, and most of them will never be implemented.
(also, some of these require vastly different amounts of work.)

We are proud to release the

LuckyBit API!

The LuckyBit API allows read-only access to the LuckyBit database. It aims at facilitating the creation of tools such as betting bots, verifiers and other add-on software.

The API is a REST API using JSON as data format. It is available anonymously and does not require identification or authentication.

You can access the documentation here: http://luckybit-api-docs.readthedocs.org/ ( This documentation has also been published at: https://github.com/LuckyBit/api )

Let the battle of the bots begin! Wink

Suggest: Wouldn't it be better if chat-lottery send all prizes one time a day/one time few hours ?
I saw the lottery send average 110 prize per day which is average 0.011 fee's a day ? isn't that expensive ?

Thanks for the suggestion! Well, the fee is for us, but you're right it's not negligeable.
We believe having it randomized makes it much more exciting, and we fear everybody would gather just at specific times if made deterministic. Smiley

I have bet and lost more than 50$, got me curious, wouldn't Normal distribution from a poor source of entropy work to your advantage in your casino?

You can get more details here on the maths aspects:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bean_machine

It approximates (because discretized) indeed a normal distribution.

But I don't get what you mean by "poor source of entropy"?
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know what entropy is, so my question is about your mention of "poor source".

The chat-lottery seems quite successful so far, you seem to appreciate it! Smiley

We are not going to give the precise recipe behind the bot activity (up to you to find out!), but remember it requires at least two persons active on chat, and some minimum recent activity in terms of bet.

Congrats to "Gmaster"! He got the two highest chat-lottery so far, on two different days, almost 0.15 together.

Congrats in general to all winners so far Smiley

would like to see dogecoin.

Everyone seems to be jumping the dogecoin-train recently... (so train! much fast!) Wink Haven't looked into it myself yet.

but how can you make a martingale bot since it's on-chain ?

Well, you would need to access a wallet, either bitcoind via rpc calls or for example blockchain.info via their API. There are some bots out there that work for satoshidice, and should work for LuckyBit pretty much out of the box.

In any case, we are currently preparing API access to make this easier.

New Feature: The LuckyBit chat-lottery

This lottery takes place continuously, every few minutes. The chat-lottery bot will be active as soon as two persons at least are active on the chat!

The bot will choose somebody randomly. If you're the winner, you just give your bitcoin address and receive a random amount of coin for free immediately! Up to you afterwards to multiply them Wink

See this screenshot of how it looks when you're selected:

EDIT: We're not going to announce the precise rules behind the (stochastic) choices for frequence and amount of bot activity. But this might have something to do with activity of bets on website Wink

Enjoy the free coins & have fun on LuckyBit Smiley

@b!z: Thank you for the review! We are very happy to have gotten such a great rating.

On a side-note: have you ever considered getting together with some gambling operators to write/define a "fair gambling" or at least a best practice document? We have the impression there are many many fake sites out there. An idea could even be a label of quality.

great idea if there would exist such a documentation

Or at least a DO's and DONT's. For example, some sites rip the graphics of other sites, or spam everyone with micro-transactions to get the user's attention. Doing the minimal against gambling addiction (for example include a warning on your site) is among this.

It's a pity that for the average user, it's really hard to see what is a site that "plays fair". Maybe we could start with a document edited/created by the community...

That sounds like a great idea. It would definitely be useful for new players to avoid casinos that may turn out to be scam.s
