Have there been any real updates to to LUX coin to justify the price increase?
As I look at my portfolio I see money shifting away from last weeks profitable coins but am caught off guard by this sudden increase for LUX.

Well, at first, now is happening a great work of core developer 216k155 by implementing such nice and useful features like Segwit, Lightning network and Smart Contracts in source code, current procees can be found here https://github.com/Lux-core/lux/commits/master, than, appearence in team new high-skill devs allowed to focus on development things like extended marketing-bounty campaign, mac wallet, active promotion campaign via twitter, FB, reddit, Telegram, etc. All this in summary brings such good result.As I look at my portfolio I see money shifting away from last weeks profitable coins but am caught off guard by this sudden increase for LUX.

lux is exploding right now on cryptopia. too bad i didnt hold onto my lux coins. i only profited around 10usd for a lot of bags of lux coin. what an epic fail.
I bet you wish you had not sold! lol.... LUX going $100 + , private coins akin to Zcash and Monero are exploding 300-400+

Since I am a new user, I did not understand the procedure for collecting coins under the program LUX PoS is Static. just take wallet.dat file from backup. run wallet and wait. sync is slow. I was waiting about 10 hours to sync from the beginning yesterday.
update your wallet version as well.

The minimal wallet is less CPU intensive as the blockplot functionality is not enabled. Perfect for any system, although more geared for lower end CPUs.
As long as you dont want to see the blockplot graph, minimal is perfect for you.
