Yes we will still have the free market with regulations. When they say about the regulations then they literally mean that it’s use and the way it is exchanged should be regulated. On top of this, they also mean that every transaction should be taxed small or big doesn’t matter. This way they will give it format of fiat only which works almost the same manner but they will also keep it decentralised, the principle on which it works. Obviously if that one taken out then it will never work.
Yes because. Government agencies are responsible for implementing and regulating policies. Such regulations are in place to ensure that the markets run effectively. They also aim to protect consumers through safety regulations.

How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Regulations are needed to avoid innocent people getting scammed since all cryptocurrencies are decentralized and there are no authorities to complain in case of scams. Regulation has helped Japan to turn in to a crypto country which has become an eye opener to other nations.Regulation would bring more people towards cryptos as people would be willing to trust it if government does not ban it.Without regulation, mass adoption would not be possible.
Yes, Of course. Such regulations are in place to ensure that the markets run effectively. They also aim to protect consumers through safety regulations.

Regulations will help keep a certain standard and protect the users as well as investors in case of any negative experiences such as technical issues or scams.
This is the need of time for developers of bitcoins to establish a rule book that can be used as a guidance for the whole population who is using bitcoins. Scams are ruling everywhere that you can’t trust any website or exchange even they are recognized or trusted. Still some loopholes are open to hacker and they start working on them. So to avoid such disturbance, rules must be implemented.

Yes we need regulations but it can be centralized they can ruled out the bitcoin. But being discipline and secured by hackers or scammers are one of the reasons why we need to regulate. No to being tolerated by others but to be in legal in all terms.
Even though it happens that we've been regulated,  still scammers will be around us.  The only thing may affected by regulating crypto are market price,  it seems to be that prices may stabilize and easily to manipulate by high profiled individuals. Even though isn't regulated yet, but I sense market manipulation that's why we've notice that price are suddenly goes down without a concrete reason.

Yes in order to lessen or prevent the increasing number of victims and scammers here in the cryptocurrency. Like managing a country everything is based on regulations because without it there will be an outburst or too many conflicts that the other cryptocurency coins might suffer in the future this also one way of lessening the risk.
Yes, I agree with him. It helps a lot to us to lessen all problems in the crypto world and one of it is encashing your bitcoin in order to avoid being scammed.

Anything in life needs some kind of regulation, otherwise the only result is chaos, as everyone can see in the cryptomarket.

Bitcointalk.org is supposed to be the hub of the decentralized world. It should be were the best of deregulation start yet it has regulations and regulators. It is therefore obvious that everything need some measure of regulations. Without regulations there will be chaos.

Of course we need regulations. Sometimes this can be irritating, but in the rest of the cases rules are for our protection.
I do like to know the reason for these regulations, this is just shutting out the competition and imposing more tax from the people, how can the government protect you from these scams, will they go after them or will they restrict you from investing in those,if you think something is shady ,you better not invest in that and you do not need a government to restrict you from doing things.

Yes protection will be the good feature of regulations for cryptocurrency trading but at the same time it contradicts its sole purpose which is decentralization. But in my opinion as long as these regulation will be justifiable and the identities are being keep with the government i think this should be fine.

I think of it the negative side if ever bitcoin will be regulated in every country. Small investors may hardly enter the world market of bitcoin. Government will be the one  to manipulate things. They will always hold everything for everybody. Local currencies also might disappear totally because of bitcoin  will be the one to use in exchange of  goods and services. By that way there’s no more economic progress for all citizens but just only for the income of the government or to some other sectors. But for the poor ones like me might just waiting from them small benefit from bitcoin.

Regulation in this field can be readily acceptable so that advanced and high level of reliance can be placed on Bitcoin for all Bitcoin fans and Investors. Every activities in Cryptocurrency shall then actually be done with piety and impunity. Unscrupulous transactions would as well be declined.

By regulating in terms of service being used related to crypto then it would be an advantage yet it do acts as a protection to its investors but when it comes on making a decentralized thing into a centralized one then I think it would really takes time or isn't really possible at all. Government do block crypto on some various reasons but they do might reconsider it which would really result into such regulations.

Yes without regulation, the economy we have now would collapse altogether,The banking sector will fall apart if one does not have a minimal level of trust in the way it handles people’s assets. The transportation sector will fall apart if we don’t keep the air traffic control system running. The food sector will fall apart if we don’t have reasonably trustworthy controls over food quality.

Every facets of life are being Regulated. I see no reason why ''OURS'' too should be an exemption please. At least, this shall pave way to better Cryptoworld' in trading, investment, project development-ICO, and many more. Junk deals, spamming threats, Hijacking in various forms and many more shall equally be cubed. More confidence in Bitcoin shall be built over its short/long tern investment. On a lighter instance, ''MERIT'' systems introduced to Bitcointalk had brought about Sanity Grin.lols. Anyway, Regulation to me can play a better role, resulting into better atmosphere for us all.

If we want cryptos to keep being "tolerated" by the states we might need one.

Regulation is neither bad or good, its a tool.

It depends on who is writing them... that's where I say NO we dont need regulations Wink.
