So I updated my awesomeminer to the latest beta version, which restarted awesomeminer and I'm not getting the cryptopia error any longer.  Big win Cheesy

Maybe awesomeminer needs to be restarted AND the localcoindata.json needs deleted to get past this error.

It is an erratic failure.

I have restarted several times I have updated to the latest version, because of course I have an AM payment license, I prefer to pay for good programs.

I have a bat that delete localboins.json every 20 minutes and rescan the prices.

I've even deleted the whole awesomecoins program, saving the config.json and put it back, I left only 1 coin in the .json and neither. I have deleted and reshot Awesome miner and neither.

Before I complain to a forum, I do everything possible to fix the problems, if I mention that I fail it is because I fail, and I'm not the only one who happens.

I have deleted the installation several times and have only kept the config.json, even just leave 1 line in config.json to find out if it was a coin or something.

The problem persists, on the one hand the error of cryptopia and then another error that I already detail in other post above,

It is an erratic failure, which affects some and not others, but it is an annoyance, right now it does not work for me, and it became something important for me.

I would not mind paying a small amount for a better finished program.

The supposed Sniffer, how does it work? because my nome is updating anything because the process is stopped, I am desperate, there is a lot of money that I can not work.

I think we should all make a small donation to motivate the programmer.

have you donated yet?

ppl have life, @soothaa's incredibly generous providing this updater completely free, he owes no obligations as to be motivated or not. You have a choice to NOT use it at all, and nobody made you "lose" money over using or not using his updater.

because you are so aggressive, I am not demanding nor have I commented that you have lost money.

Believe me that I do my best to be very educated and I understand perfectly the programmer. In my work I lead a team of 3 programmers for a great web, but we work html, css, js, jquery etc ... it is another programming branch, but I know the problems and I can understand that the program only needs some small touches to be again fully operational.

I do not demand, and I can use it or not as you say. But I use it, every person who uses it is a person who is grateful to the programmer. But with gratitude and words you do not eat.

I can use it or not, but I want to use it, it is a great complement and I would be sorry that something like that was lost or it would be outdated. So I think that if the programmer sold it at a fair price and apart from gratitude had more income, the program would be more careful.

But I repeat myself for 5 or 6 times, I do not demand, I ask you please and I thank you in the form of a donation. I do not believe that my attitude is reprehensible, and more when I seek that he also be benefited.

I hope to see your donation, because talking is very easy.

I just made a small donation, because I do not know if this will be fixed or not. I would prefer to pay a price for a program.
I know that the programmer is a busy person. I am not demanding at any time what I have said to motivate you with some donations for your work.

If he does not make a payment program, and fixes everything, I will make a small donation every 3 months for gratitude for maintaining the program.

I do not demand anything, I only ask and give you reason with donation. I would like to see that many others also donate something, even if it is not enough, but that the programmer feels valued by us, that we get benefits with their free work.

I keep saying that the program should be paid, a small payment but payment, and so ensure an entry of money. It is not a large programming nor excessively complex, but only he can do it because only he knows the code.

I hope that some more of you are so grateful to make a small donation to the programmer and show it around here as I have done where I have only covered the amount.

On the other hand AM is going to add 3 simultaneous sources of data of coins at the same time, but even so, it will be insufficient, for me this extension is essential for AM and I am very, very grateful to the programmer, and I do not demand anything, I try motivate him, I hope others do the same.

how to fix it

I have the same error and I do not know how to solve it, the coins are no longer updated

I thought this was due to cryptopia's API.  Maybe in an update we can have a way to disable cryptopia for when it shits the bed?

For me I have 2 machines using the AwesomeMinerUpdater.  One machine is humming along nicely, and the other gets this error.  Seems odd, anybody know how to fix?  Deleting localcoindata.json doesn't seem to do the trick.

Some install error ? Clone the working folder to the non-working machine Wink

I did try cloning the working folder over, but it didn't help.  Both machines were working well for a long period, but all of a sudden one gets that error and cloning over the folder from the still working machine doesn't solve it.  Maybe cryptopia is banning my IP from calling the API or something?

Wow thanks ... How did you make this list?

Most of these come from crypto-coinz.net if they have decent explorer, and aren't POS only.  Some coins have a decent explorer but they give funky data for the difficulty, listing POW and POS... so I have to exclude those.  Crypto-coinz.net also gives you the name, algo, and is usually pretty accurate with the block reward.  I also check the official bitcointalk thread, whitepaper, or coin website to get the block time.

The next version will include all the coins at chainz.cryptoid.info coins... which is quite a few.  I'm using an API parser script I'm working on to get the data from this website.

I've changed my AwesomeMiner Web Portal to use port 8080 so it can be accessed while on work computers however I understand the API was built with port 17990 so now the updater can no longer communicate with API.

Where is the port config referenced to in the Coin Updater? Thanks!

Im sure its something simple.  Any help much appreciated

Thanks

They are coins that have either died, or have changed from explorer. You must try to find the correct explorer or comment the line so that it does not make the request.

There are coins like HSR that report above that have modified the explorer and can not read the diff.
