it seems like very good project .. i just want to learn more about this ..!
any social media links Huh

It seems like a very dead project, the links are posted in OP but I don't know if are working still.

Right now Boat is dead in the water, there has been no offers from dev teams to takeover the project and a community takeover is most likely out of the question now as most have already left this one behind. The good thing with Boat is that its listed on CE and TradeSatoshi if a dev decides to come along and start working on the project but that's all its got going for it right now and whats left of the community which I think it very small.

It is good that is listed on this 2 good exchanges but if the chain will stop working BOAT will get delisted. Also no dev will take a coin if the original dev is holding a bag full of coins and no one will work for free, that's for sure.

Its very simple my friend, the new dev can hard fork and do a coin swap which will leave the original dev holding a worthless bag if the new coin does do well. Exchanges now days support coin swaps and I know that both CE and TradeSatoshi both do the coin swaps on their exchanges if it ever comes to this here. So there is a way around the original dev holding a bag full.

I am wondering if there is any way to recompile the wallet so it doesn't take so much CPU processing.  It's the largest I've seen of any wallet so far.

If the source code is available, of course you can, but I don't think this will fix the issue.

Where is the BE?
The one in the OP is dead.

I think all explorers are down since the dev left and none renewed them. Maybe I am wrong and better ask in their Discord about a working explorer, if there is one.

Who knows though what the next two or three years might lead to in Crypto.  Perhaps coins and their names are going to be like domains.  The major ones like BOAT will be in high demand by the industry.

I would like to meet other techies with programming backgrounds who want to learn more about development, compiling, etc.  It seems to me to be pretty locked up in LINUX, from what I see on building a block explorer video.

Maybe, but I think the companies will make their own coin/token. Why they should buy a name from a dead project?

Projects get revitalized very easily in crypto.  It's the nature of the technology.  One just needs to know how to create a working blockchain explorer, which is relatively simple.  Domains work based on easy to understand names.  You think the Boat industry won't want the name "Boat"? That goes against human nature.

To be honest a dev team could easily pick Boat up and start working on it straight away. It has a good functioning wallet which I'm yet to have any issues with and the coin is listed on 2 exchanges one being Coinexchange. I still hold out hope that one day a dev team will pick this up and revive it once again.

I have to agree with you, is sad that many devs leave their projects from lack of interest. Unfortunately I can say that maybe 1% of the abandoned projects finds a new team who will pick it up to develop further and make a success one, many pick the project up and after few months leave it like the original dev.

Just needs to be left to die.
Over 10,000 old coins now, need to let the poor ones just drift off, then the remaining 100 or so might have a fighting chance...

Here I have to agree with you, first I wanted to not spread FUD because maybe some of you invested your hard worked money in this, but as @minerja said, here is no value added for the cryptocurrency world by this useless clones and fugitive devs. He launched 2 coins under OBAViJEST nickname and who knows how many more under others nicknames.
