I think OP watched too much movies wherein criminals or bad actors is so powerful and rich that even the government can't lay a hand on them. maybe OP imagine that those criminal will build their own mining farms and illegal exchanges to continue bitcoin transtions when its banned globally then those people who wants to use bitcoin for illegal activities will have to buy to this criminals thus increasing the demand and its price, did i get right OP?  Grin Grin Grin Grin

There is  no way this will ever happen. Once blockchain technology plays an important role in setting up a peer to peer connection and also in the aspect of data collection (data ledger), there is no possible way that all countries will ban it. Even if it gets banned, demand rate is like drop drastically since majority investors will quickly sell their bitcoins for fiats just to be safe. Moreover, the market value of bitcoin is likely to drop since a lot of people will be in the rush to sell their bitcoin. This will cause an increase in the market supply with a low demand affecting the market price..

IF the whole world ban BTC at first BTC will Crash very hard but only for a few month, Demand will be increased while there will be no Legal Seller, All trade will go to undergrand and  Black market and illegal traffic, sellers will start to selling BTC 50 X more than current price. BTC will be more expensive, As simple as that,
That was an answer for these who said BTC will die if whole world Ban it, So no BTC never Die.

if bitcoin were banned everywhere, why would demand increase? demand from who?

i mean sure, black markets could still exist, but prohibition greatly cuts markets down in size. all institutional investment would cease, mainstream retail investors would jump ship. its utility would be greatly reduced because cheap, legal fiat gateways would be gone and only expensive, black market exchangers would exist. miners couldn't operate in the open, reducing the value of the network's security as hash rate drops.

i don't think bitcoin would die but a million bucks? sounds like crazy talk to me. Smiley

definitely, the main thing that would happen is that, if demand would not rather increase, investors and current bitcoin hodlers will not afford to sell their coins on a very low price. Even if they Ban BTC, it will still have a huge market value, so people will still going to find ways on how they can accumulate and utilize bitcoin as their currency. Eventually, the effectiveness for government to ban bitcoin isn't really contributed, meaning to say that the'res a huge reason that it will stay not prohibited as government will just waste their time and money monitoring such increase and fundamental market analysis.

No it wont really be that easy.Talking about global ban.Are you sure that there would be still more people would able to trust up BTC?
Lets say that the entire ban will pertains on how you wont able to cash out btc to fiat would already be a big hindrance for those btc holders.
Yes, there might be still some underground transactions but it wont be enough to raise up that kind of amount of $1m/btc. Even on full adoption globally
its really hard to think or say about these unrealistic numbers.

If bitcoin being banned then the users will decrease and it will cause big crash and if the investors see the crash is too hard and the banning is everywhere then they will find other investment, so btc is screwed if its being banned in a lot of countries, and there was a proved ,when China banning btc the result suddenly can be seen, it cause huge crash and panic selling

Have you take up economy class in your school days or anyone explains how adoption and economy function, Bitcoin is not a drug, countries are banning illegal drugs and this is the reason the price is so high, Bitcoin is a technology, if no one is holding or using it, it will go to zero, and I don't think at this present time they can ban Bitcoin if they want to ban it should be 5  years ago when Bitcoin is just starting out.

Dont you think, the result will be wise-a-versa? The demand for bitcoin will decrease and obviously the price will go down. Bitcoin transactions would get ceased. But the current situation is, crypto usage is increasing. This would create more demand for bitcoin.

I can only laugh reading the post about bitcoin will be 1M $ if all countries ban it, it is very unlikely to happen. Because it makes no sense
to be banned globally but prices are rising, who wants to buy because it has become illegal. What was happening was not going to there is
another bitcoin demand. But in my opinion the possibility of bitcoin on a global ban is beyond reason, bitcoin brings a lot of good for humanity.
So it is not possible to be banned globally, most banned are only a small part of the country as it is today. If bitcoin brings a lot of bad things
to life, then I'm sure it can be banned globally. The reality is that many people live so it's better after getting to know bitcoin.

1M$ is meaningless if bitcoin will be ban in all countries, but bitcoin can be exchange directly for goods and services, no need to convert back to fiat. You can earn bitcoin from labor, no need to earn fiat. Governments don't have control over Bitcoin, they can ban by creating some laws that have to be "adopted" by people. Exchanges can be close, Bisq (a decentralized exchange) can't be closed unless they completely close and ban normal wire transfers. Banning and blocking are two very different concepts. They can "ban" but not "block", some people fail to understand this difference. The only way to block Bitcoin would be to destroy and close the internet itself.

Do you understand the concept of attraction and demand? if bitcoin is banned all over the world, then who wants to adopt it? to spend it as an alternative to payment who want it. Your idea is not logical in the concept of financial economics. Underground will not be enough for many people, and there will definitely be penalties for violating these regulations.

I found this post very funny. I dont want to disrespect the author but for me i found the post very illogical. If we use common our common sense if bitcoin will be banned across the globe then bitcoin will suffer a tremendous bearish movement. The exchanges will be closed and it will affect all cryptocurrency existing right now.  And so because there are no more bitcoin exchanges it will be hard to determines bitcoins value. Also if we talk about the black market, they would also have a hard time using bitcoin since there are no more exchanges that will enable them to convert it to dollars. So in the end its hopeless and possibly it will bring to the end of bitcoin market.

I don’t know if all countries banned bitcoin what actually happen. But in my view maybe it will be very hard to survive bitcoin.because 100℅ of btc user don't use btc for black market. If  5-10℅ or maybe few percentage people use bitcoin for balck market. If bitcoin banned all over the world then bitcoin will lost their members. So i don’t think it will reach 1M$. But I believe that btc is not going to be banned all over the world.

I doubt that if hypothetically ban Bitcoin around the world, it will have a big price. Bitcoin came to us from the underground and only after that its price began to grow rapidly. On the contrary, I think that if Bitcoin will not receive the green light to large legal money of institutional investors, then it will not have a promising future and his popularity will decline.

It's just a very immature post, why haven't you think that if there is no legal use then how the demand will increase? I don't think so, for me, if there is a legal status, then it would gain a proper treatment in any community, people have the interest to get this one for making a profit or something else, but when you see that's good is not legal anywhere then why you feel for this good? you need to study first some basic economic, how demand increase and what factors affect this situation, and the right environment for increasing or decreasing the demand, I think without legal support no one can survive for a long time.

This is altogether a reverse hypothesis. A demand of a commodity wouldn't increase with government banning it. If government bans it the retail investors would lose interest and stop demanding it rather begin to sell it thereby increasing supply. Moreover the black market trading you are talking about is already going on there is nothing you can do to stop it and it might increase if btc is banned but it won't help price increase.

Yeah... keep dreaming. The moment a ban is imposed, 90% of the holders will be running to dump their holdings. I still remember what happened when there were rumors of a similar ban in China (2017). The prices crashed by almost 40% in just a few weeks. The reaction will be much worse if any sort of a global ban is implemented. You can expect bloodbath and mayhem in the market. There will be absolute chaos. At the most, some 10% of the users will continue to hold the coins if they are outlawed.

I don't think that this scenario will work to make Bitcoin become more expensive but i think instead it will going to be worst as the value will going back to zero because no one will trust the future of it anymore not even you. Removing the regulation is the best scenario that Bitcoin will become more expensive again because anyone can buy Bitcoin even the bad people like the Cartel in which they could hide their illegal money thru buying Bitcoin because their is no regulation that need to abide.

If bitcoin was banned worldwide it would lose its price. And its price will never rise again because no one will use it.

You can no longer use it as payment on transactions, nor will it be available to hold because no potential investor will have the interest to buy it. So let's not think of any other reason as this is the truth, Everything in this world will not last. And it will be replaced by better technology that will help us in our day-to-day activities.

If the whole world will ban bitcoin then how are we suppose to buy or even sell it. It will be useless if it is not convertible to physical currency. It will not increase the demand if no one will be able to use it. And there are circumstances if anyone will use it even if the government will ban it.
