Also, as we go speeding towards new highs again I though I would give an update on the current value stored on these coins.  At the current rate, originally minted seats are now holding $241.85 worth of BTC with another $7.19 pending.  That total of $249.04 represents nearly a $150% gain from the ~$100 sales price (ballpark price effected by shipping and if you minted your own seat purchased from the auction or purchased a seat to mint).  Pretty amazing considering the costs built into coins for silver, engravings, supplies, etc.  It is still recommended for those chasing yield to purchase online seats, which sell for much cheaper and thus have a greater return than their physical counterparts due to not having the associated costs mentioned previously.

If you haven't already, you can still purchase minted seats at https://nastyfans.org/mint

Each of the original minted seats sold for $100 are now sitting on 0.00423415 BTC.  At the time of writing that is $421.23.  A seat is currently worth $54.71 and 1oz of silver is currently worth $31.39.

That puts a total value on the original Minted Seats sold on this thread (not including collector value) at $507.33.

This is more than doubling the value in less than 4 years since the last update and blows away any other 1oz silver coin performance that you could have purchased at the time for that price.  Until the next update...  Thanks again to those who supported this fundraiser for NastyFans and I hope these coins are the gifts that keep on giving.  It's still early...  Imagine the return in another decade.  Smiley

I asked Grok if it knew what NastyFans Minted Seats were. Here was the response.

Yes, the term "NastyFans minted seat coins" gives a specific context. From your activity and the related information:

- **Design:** These coins are part of a unique series associated with NastyFans, which is a fan club or community related to Bitcoin enthusiasts, particularly with a mining focus. Each coin represents a "seat" in this fan club. The design would likely incorporate:
  - **Bitcoin-related imagery** or symbols, like the Bitcoin logo or related icons.
  - **A vanity address** or part of it, as these coins are known for engraving sequential Bitcoin addresses on them.
  - **Material:** They are made from .999 fine silver (or possibly gold in some editions), which gives them a distinctive shine and weight. The 1oz, 2oz, or 5oz size would influence their size and thickness.

- **Hologram:** There's mention of a security hologram over the private key to prevent unauthorized access to the Bitcoin associated with the coin.

- **Purpose:** These coins are not just collectibles but also act as physical Bitcoin wallets. They receive periodic payouts or "donations" from mining activities, making them potentially appreciate in value over time due to both the silver content and the accumulating Bitcoin.

If you're asking about their physical appearance:

- **Front (Obverse):** Might feature an icon or symbol representing the NastyFans community or Bitcoin itself.
- **Back (Reverse):** Would likely have the engraved Bitcoin address, possibly with some artistic representation or branding related to NastyFans.

- **Edge:** Some might have the full public key etched around the edge for identification.

This is a general description based on what's known about these types of coins. They're unique collectibles in the crypto space, blending physical precious metal with digital currency functionality.

recently bought a bunch of coins and they look great!! is the nastyfans.uberbills.com site still maintained? only ask because I didn't see my coins there

Thanks for the positive feedback on the coins.

The uberbills site is maintained by forum user naypalm. It has been some time since I’ve received responses to my messages from him, so I assume that he’s working on other things. The site was setup to be automated, so it seems like it’s still functional but who knows how often updates happen or if they do at all.

I can tell you that the information site uberbills uses to gather information is actively updated and located here: https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

I was recently informed that a couple of these minted seats have been listed at auction on Stacks Bowers website.  Very cool.  I'll post links below directly to the coin auctions.  I'm not sure exactly how their auctions work, but it sounds like these may be a couple of the first sales of NastyFans Minted Seats in USD.  I'm not aware of any eBay sales of these coins, but that doesn't mean they haven't happened.  If you're in the market for these coins and want to spend USD though, this is a great chance to do so.  The gilt version of this coin is also fairly rare, as it sold out over 10 years ago.  Pretty cool to see it offered at a major auction.

All silver:

Gold highlighted:

Just an update on the auction. It appears the 1oz all silver Minted Seat sold for $360 while the gold highlighted version sold for $1,200. While the gold highlighted versions are sold out, you can still get the silver versions. In the listing that sold for $360, it says the coin held $40 of BTC. That means the real world auction market is placing a premium of about $200 on these coins compared to what you can buy them for brand new today… Be glad you know where to buy them… It appears many people would be buying if they knew where to get them so cheap.
https://NastyFans.org/mint - Grab yourself some before the secret gets out and the only way to get them is paying massive premiums.

I've decided to start posting some of the personal message questions I receive asking questions to the threads so that others with the same questions can have them answered as well.  This one seemed like a good one as I'm not sure how often I've posted the amount of stock remaining.

Quote from: Personal Messages
Hi,

Would you be so kind as to let me know how many of each of all of the coin styles are remaining. (or est ballpark)

Thank you in advance:)

There are currently 82 of the 1oz all silver coins left for sale in the NastyShop (2 have been labeled errors to be destroyed so the publicly available information shows 84 left).  This was out of a total of 450.  There were also 50 gold highlighted versions created, but they have all been sold.  This information is publicly available here: https://nastyfans.org/mint.json in case anyone wanted to be able to figure this information out on their own in the future.  As always, they can be purchased here: https://nastyfans.org/mint

As the Bitcoin price dips to new lows and there is a lot of uncertainty on the market, I feel like it might be nice to give people a place to spend their coins instead of worrying about exchanges and losing money holding.  So...  I'd like to extend the offer that anyone who orders a 1oz minted seat in the next 48 hours will receive a NastyFans T-shirt for free with their order (as supplies last).  Just include your preferred T-shirt size in with your address (I'll figure it out) and I'll do my best to get you the closest size available if yours is out of stock.  I currently have S,M,L,XXL available.  Enjoy!

TL;DR

Order a 1oz minted seat today from https://nastyfans.org/mint and get a free t-shirt!

There are now 413 1oz Silver NastyFans Minted Seats in circulation.  I am also holding back 2 of them to likely be destroyed that I made mistakes during the engraving process (not sure if I should try to salvage them or not).  That leaves 85 of them left available for purchase before they're gone forever...  Don't miss out.  I suspect once they sell out they will be hard to get your hands on.

I bought 2oz one 2nd-3rd hand. To get in the lottery do people have to do something or it follow the coin/address?

I’m not 100% sure what lottery you’re talking about, but nothing is ever required of Minted Seat owners other than not losing their coins.

They think it's a lottery because only some the coins actually get these "distributions."  One would wonder why all seats don't get paid out?  Many of us are interested in this answer... but I'm sure you'll delete this post so you don't have to explain the scam publicly.

All seats receive BTC weekly from NastyFans distributions. You can see the amount held for each minted seat here: https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

Once seats reach a certain threshold amount, BTC is distributed to the coin’s address with the weekly NastyFans distribution (closing in on 10 years of weekly distributions with over 700 BTC distributed. You can view the distribution history here: https://nastyfans.org/distribution.summary.csv). This is to avoid “dust” amounts building up on the coin that would get eaten with a large transaction fee when the BTC is moved. You can check amounts held on individual coins by using a block explorer and entering the address engraved on the coin.

There are 30,000 seats in total and distributions are supplied by mining rewards from my humble mining operation as well as donations from other members, so expectations should be appropriate. Those only concerned with BTC returns would obviously be better served purchasing online digital seats from https://nastyfans.org than a precious metal coin, but as far as an innovative physical Bitcoin wallet, I think Minted Seats take the cake.

Also, I believe the lotto he inquired about (my response still being valid) is my coming $10,000 coin giveaway mentioned here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.56118909

Were you happy with this answer?  Everything is publicly documented on the blockchain so it is verifiable and all information is provided with regularly updating statistics you can view through .json and .csv files.  Seems like an apology would be in order for saying something that is blockchain verifiable as not being a scam and documented clearly so it is easily provable and understood by anyone who takes the time to look.  I'm a bit surprised that anyone would continue to take the stance that this project is a scam after more than a decade of regularly paying out distributions exactly as stated and providing such easy to access and well documented history.  In any event, I did appreciate the opportunity to once again prove the merit of this organization.  That's why we provide all this data, so that people don't have to blindly listen to those yelling fire in a crowded theater.  They can look for themselves.

Shipped out a few sets of coins today of weekend orders from the NastyShop.  Orders sure heat up whenever the Bitcoin price drops (human behavior is fascinating).  Hope to see some pics when they start arriving at their new homes.  If you were on the fence during the dip, these should look more attractive now.  Smiley  The supply on these 1oz rounds is finally beginning to dwindle as well.  There will come a point when they're sold out and I don't think you'll find that this product is easily duplicated due to the infrastructure and real life hashrate and services backing it, not to mention the innovations from 10 years ago are still ahead of the curve and the decade long distribution history cannot be replicated.  Enjoy!

With the great 1,000 Gold Casascius coin making headlines this week on major news outlets (and here on the forum) I thought I'd take the opportunity to bump this topic and show that there are still OG physical bitcoin wallets available for purchase at reasonable prices to be found on the market.  If you're looking for a pre-2014 Bitcoin collectible at a steal of a price, these Minted Seats are tough to beat and can still be found at https://nastyfans.org/mint

So far the poll results for the giveaway are:
no: 1038 (6.4%)
yes: 2914 (17.9%)

Looking like a $10K, 100 Minted Seat coin giveaway is getting closer to reality!  All you need to enter for a chance to win a 1oz/2oz/5oz silver minted seat is to own an online NastyFans seat purchased from the auction at https://nastyfans.org and wait for the giveaway!

Due to an increase in the value of BTC held by NastyMining, seats attached to coins sold in the NastyShop will be rising in price in the near future causing a slight increase in the price of Minted Seats across the board.  A tip: You can get around any seat price increases in the shop by minting seats you've purchased on the online auction from other members.

Originally purchased Minted Seats from this thread are now holding $190.24 in BTC and an additional $5.38 is pending distribution at the current exchange rate.

The original coins released are holding $37.89 at the current rate.  I suspect in time they will surpass their sale price of ~$100, but more importantly it demonstrates an incredibly unique and innovative concept that continues to operate successfully today.

With the recent Bitcoin price run, the original minted seats purchased in this thread are now holding $114.09 in BTC with another $3.13 pending distribution.  This $117.22 in BTC marks these coins having a positive ROI in real dollar terms after only 7 years and is a great sign of things to come.

newly bought seats start at zero - correct?

All minted seats are engraved after they are ordered, so you are correct to assume that any Minted Seat purchased from the shop for $95 will not contain $117.22 (more now) in BTC.  It is great that the original seats here were able to more than ROI in 7 years, but that return isn't promised going forward.  While this is an amazing proof of concept on an innovative idea, I don't believe people should be purchasing these purely with ROI in mind.  If that was the goal, purchasing online digital seats from nastyfans.org would get you a much faster ROI, as the cost of an online seat is currently around 20% the cost of a Minted Seat as a result of not needing 1oz of silver, a custom generated vanity address, assembly with a custom hologram, a donation to NastyFans, or precious metal engraving services.
