I bought the altcoin dip in recent weeks and my portfolio now consists of the following coins:

- Polygon
- Fantom
- Litecoin
- MultiverseX
- Supra

Which coins would you add or recommend me?
You didn't get to buy these list of different altcoins randomly as am assuming you must have done some underground work before choosing to risk your money into these particular altcoins in the midst of hundreds of thousands of altcoins. I particularly don't fancy altcoins but I think your list is just fine, you don't have to expand your buy through random suggestions from forum members for you could be led to buying a lot of pump and dump coins.

If you feel it compulsory to expand your portfolio then you should add bitcoin to it this time, for a long term focus. It is common for some people to have interest in altcoins alone since they don't want to hold for very long but having bitcoin separately and be dead on it would be one of tue best decisions you will have to thank yourself for in tue future than only focusing on altcoins alone.

Great portfolio. For further diversification, consider adding Chainlink (LINK) for smart contract data solutions,
Avalanche (AVAX) for its high transaction speeds and scalability and finally Render (RNDR)for trending in decentralized GPU rendering, aligning with growing AI and metaverse trends.

Bitcoin is not everything , you can still have a good portfolio without it.

Why add Bitcoin now? It maybe 2x this year from current price and will then spend the next 2 years after that going down in bear market.

Altcoins in the current top 100 or so give you a good chance of making very good money this year, Bitcoin doesn’t.

Buying Bitcoin needs you to accumulate huge volume of it to get huge gains, using $100 to buy Bitcoin will only give you little quantity which might give you little gains after a major increase in price of Bitcoin.

I only advise people and myself to only buy good quantity of assets to gain a massive gain when the assets rises.

That's why I prefer to buying meme coins especially the ones listed on top centralized exchange because of the quantity accumulated , any little price increase brings more gain to your capital.

No one wants to recommend a single coin for you to put in your basket. Because every decision that is later given must be accounted for. So as long as you feel comfortable and satisfied with the purchase, then that's good enough. Altcoins are short-term so you just need to be smart in taking advantage. Because when bitcoin returns to the bear market, all altcoins will be more bloody. Keep learning all about the crypto market movements so you will be much more confident in buying any coin based on your own research. GL  Cool

Add some solana also. It performed very well in 2024 and this year also I expect it to continue this trend.

While seeking for recommendations isn't all that wrong, it's only tough in the case of regrets and blames. Nobody is aware of the performance of most altcoins - things could change terribly in a market change or shift. Still, he could have more opportunities to choose and do his research on. He'd got some nice picks like Polygon, and Litecoin, they seem to have some potentials on the long term.

I'd also add that exchanges are better places to find out projects to look into, as they've got all the listed coins.

Usually, when a coin makes it on the exchange, it's already there regarding its.. Biggest time to gain profit from it.
If we are talking about the old coins - then surely, the best are already listed out there. Litecoin is a great choice, in my opinion.

You need to always make your decision yourself and don't seek for some kind opinion that could increase your chances of making profits in the market. Some of these coins you have listed are good to hold based on your opinion but I think some of them have lost hype and many investors are not seeking to buy them just like the buying momentum was before. Maybe anyone that wants to buy should do that on a long term interest not something of short intervals.

like other people mentioned, it lacks BTC, i mean when BTC is doing 4x from the bottom while LTC almost doing nothing I think it makes more sense to hold some BTC.
but at the end of the day if you have conviction that this coin can go up then feel free to hold it, after all, the financial decision is yours to make, I agree with people who said not to trust stranger on judging your portfolio because people can be pretty biased.
If I were to be the ops, my portfolio for 2025 is like 80% BTC and then 20% a single coin which is XRP which is doing greatly well right now in the market and I think giving that coin a chance this year could make a good portfolio for me going forwards, unlike in the previous years when I get myself confused with multiple coins on my portfolio and all ended me on a bad loses, so this year I have learn a lot of lessons, and I wont repeat same mistake in 2025, but from what the ops posted his list of choice coins portfolio is filled with shitcoins.

If you have a decent amount of money then 80% Bitcoin & 20% XRP is fine but if you don’t then it’s too much money in safe plays you have to take more risk with less money.

Some shitcoins can give you massive returns , many will do a lot better than Bitcoin in the next 6 months and they are more common then you think.

AI will be massive this bull run, wont be difficult to find a few AI coins that will do really well I’d rather invest in them over Bitcoin right now.

Altcoins investment is something you need to be scrupulous about for us to make money from it while selecting the good ones from the ones that could be unprofitable in a long run. Every investor need to know what they are getting some skills about crypto investment and trading even though it's just a shallow knowledge.

There are quite a lot of choices and they have to be sorted so that only two remain, because currently if I look at the average price, altcoins are already in an upward position following the bitcoin trend so they have to move quickly if it looks profitable to avoid the risk of the price falling past the buying point, I prefer altcoins that move following the direction of bitcoin

Then choose SOL and LTC and be a happy hodler of them.
Some choose one, two, or ten - it's an individual preference of how many coins to hold.
And we didn't see the biggest rise of alts yet..

Nothing to add from my point, I think that’s enough because I will not advise anyone to go all in at once forgetting other investment choice. The only coin I’m familiar with in terms of research is litecoin and the rest seems unknown, how sure will this coin be beneficial during the bullish season if no you should go for a trusted coin with good potential and we’ve seen several altcoins do well just make your research and go for the best.

I agree with what my friends here are saying, why don't you put Bitcoin in your portfolio?
Of course, it has a higher level of security. If i were you and had a relatively large amount of money, i would split 60% to Bitcoin but back to you, if you only have a relatively small capital you have to take a bigger risk, this i agree with @JamesDaniel90.

And one more thing, have you researched the token you decided to enter into your portfolio?
Because i see Supra there, as far as i know Supra unlock tokens every month for the airdrop community for approximately 30 months, of course this causes investor fear to buy the token, which has an impact on the difficulty of the price to rise.

I for one would go full on BTC mostly, and only a fraction of the funds would go to the new projects.
Because they are either: a) risky; b) have unlocks like that  Wink
The most stable option is under everybody's nose.

Well I have not heard of those coins you have Fantom, Polygon, MultiverseX, Supra. And I did look at them and they do have a small marketcap instead of the other coins in the top marketcap.

And they are not even in the top of the 100 coins for marketcap. I do like that you are hodling Litecoin but I do think you can use some other tokes in there. Ethereum, XRP and meme coin Doge you can add to it.

LTC all the way.

Usually peoples love to go with their own research because it's much better and beneficial for them, but many are now having mentors or analyst which are giving their views on social media and having good reputation due to their hard work, but we need to be careful.

Even though I am also not agreed with OP coins/tokens because these are not well enough famous in crypto market, but maybe he has done his work before investment I don't like them as well with my best option is always bitcoin with few other coins which are having good future and use case in the future.

Another group which love to stay with marketcap and love to take their small profit from top coins with usually this profit is not big but still enough for them to keep things on good level.
