We need to se someone start up Darkroad 3.0 (Silkroad) or something like it. That would give us some real attention..

you go first  Grin

lets make a deal:
i will send you letters to prison if you get caught,
and you will send me 10 DRK if you didnt.
 Grin Cheesy Grin
Deal?
Well this is supposed to be anonymous Cheesy
That would be the ultimate test.

I am too busy to even think about doing anything like that, also lack of skills Wink

not really a good result isnt it  Undecided

Does not look like you have read the entire paper, just went for a graph at then end.
There is multitude solutions presented to combat these, some of them, like mixing via more rounds, are already implemented in the coin.

to the contrary.

since you are obviously new to the crypto world, let me explain it to you:

you can
a) pay someone to say "everyting is okay" and hope to not be caught
or
b) pay someone to outline existing attack vectors and work with him/her to close these ones.

"security" is never a state, or a point in time.
its a work in progress, and every peer-reviewed paper, pointing out gaps, and how to close them is a step in the right direction.

the paper sums up existing problems in the PRE-RELEASE version, but Atlas is also working with the devs to close them.

it is a pretty pretty picture.

// e.g. its safe to say that the pairing-process will be changed to harden the network against sybil-attacks (make it more expencive/harder to coordinate)
// and other solutions are obviously discussed.
// THIS is the idea behind a peer-review.
// NOT to declare something finished in the first round, its more about gradual hardening, with every round.

This is a great summary!

The only one that is of concern to me is the sybil attack vector but that is the hardest one (and most relevant to nearly all coins out there) to find a solution to. Evan is already introducing 3-party joins as a start, who knows if there will be a better solution (or even complimentary solution to what's there already) in the future. It would be interesting to see a rerun of attack vectors over 8 rounds with 3 party joins and see how things stack up in the near-term.

hi there,
i have written my thoughts on the atlas paper here (link below),
and propose a new (additional) payment system.

give it a read if you want.
tear it apart, build on it, or specify. - or rewrite it, since your English is better and your expertise outshines mine.

thanks!

I think an important step would be to push the block.io integration forward.
http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2fr7pb/should_we_support_drk_and_if_so_what_would_you/

If there are any coders out there, let the block.io guys know what you think.

I do not get it
what are they doing ?

Once Kristov finishes the code review and open source goes smoothly, the adoption phase can commence to cement its value. Fuck the moon...this is going beyond.

Wow! I was looking at when we would take the number two spot. I should have looked at the number 1# spot. Darkcoin is becoming mature. The force is strong in this one ;-)

IMO, the next step should be an official response from Evan referencing each of the issues listed in the conclusion and explaining what the plan is to mitigate them. We know that the Sybil attack vector is going to be minimized by moving to 3 peers, but I would like to know about ideas for other improvements.  Especially as it relates to "blinding" masternodes...

+1 duff

Maybe this helps to push things forward Smiley

I just don;t know why the price is still dropping.I think DRK is better than any anonymous coin!

I think because of too many people bought too many DRK - without "tech understanding", thinking it is "about ready and easy to use bulletproof anonymity coin" (in stage like Bitcoin is).
And only now they begin to realize that DarkCoin may be great - but not tomorrow and not this year. There is a hard work ahead... And most of them doesn't expected so long run - so disappointed...
