Since Ohio has made quite an entrance, I think because of this the media would even bring out more interest in BTC, in a good way or in a bad way, I don't know if the media would be against or with BTC or they would just simply be unbiased in bringing out news for us, nonetheless I don't think that year 2018 would end up good for BTC, but lets just assume that 2019 would be a comeback.
Hopely with Ohio decision makes investor more confident with cryptocurrency. 2018 is not good year for cryptocurrency market. Most coin and token price drop the price and market cap value drop from $800 billions to around $130billions. Hopely 2019 is good year for cryptomarket

Its good news when Ohio start accepting bitcoin for paying taxes. I think its good start before more states accepting bitcoin. Beside that its good start to for bitcoin mass adoption. If government accepting bitcoin, i am believe company and merchant will follow. Its good note before we ending 2018

No, 2018 is a year of calm. This is the year when people who are on the surface of the crypto currency fall away, because they do not have the necessary information about what will happen with the crypto currency and how to behave further. Maybe 2019 will be different.

I think the crypto news in the channels is good but has limited impact
Contrary to the admission of Ohio as bitcoin as a means of paying taxes, this move has a good impact on the global adoption process.
The experience gained in 2018 so far have been eye opening to understanding crypto market and not relying on mere speculations spread by the so called experts.
Everything's normal.It gets better.This year has been very revealing and educational for all.He showed that it is not necessary to relax and to always keep their finger on the pulse of the event.We've been through enough trials this year, nerves on edge.We believe only in the best.

Since bank are primary advertisers of main media, expecting good news from main media about bitcoin is not reasonable. They mostly harm bitcoin market; they keep talking about a direct correlation between bitcoin's success and its price. If price are very good, they call it a speculative market and if not they call it boomed market.
No one can say if end of 2018 will become positive to bitcoin but we hope so.

Bitcoin for a long time now has always drawn attention from the global world. And this is a good thing for the adoption of bitcoin globally although there also some critical about the idea of bitcoin

Bitcoin is in neutral for now, but again in time soon Bitcoin will rise again and any news and mainstream media would take Bitcoin seriously again.
Any good information about Bitcoin is good information and brings cryptocurrency closer to the mainstream. Unfortunately, this is not enough to make people start trusting Bitcoin. After such large price drops, now people will very slowly regain confidence in cryptocurrencies. I think it will take up to about a year before prices return to a good level.
It's no surprise for everyone regarding how the mainstream media works in connection wit bitcoin wherein it's their job either they spread the good and the bad news about it. But more often, these mainstream media are responsible for the fake news spreading FUD for the purpose in destabilization of bitcoin that cause market dips. However, I believe people are now more intelligent enough to distinguish the fake and the non fake news after they had been for a while in the crypto community.
Mainstream media is obsessed with the price and they think there is a direct correlation between Bitcoin's success and the price of a bitcoin. 
You cannot measure Bitcoin's success, based on the favorable views of one state in a global context. Bitcoin is spreading like cancer and modern medicine < government regulations & fud > can only slow it down, but it will continue spreading until it killed the fiat financial system and all these corrupt centralized services.
A lot of time and energy and money is thrown at Bitcoin to destroy it, but it just grows stronger and more resilient with each attack. Why?... because people with stronger motivation is supporting this experiment.

Hard to see if we are going to end 2018 on a positive note. As far as I know, we might see this bearish trend to continue although mainstream media is putting bitcoin on their news, it doesn't mean that we will see the negative sentiments suddenly turns into a bullish one.
Although hearing Ohio accepting bitcoin as form of payment and might even set a precedence it's not enough to push this market. We need news like the BAKKT bitcoin future offerings to pump fresh blood into the ecosystem, but since they postponed in for next year, perhaps we might see the market flat up to the end of 2018.

in my opinion, when many people begin to realize the prospects of BTC, now and in the future, then this is good support.
but, on the other side, this year's BTC chart is worse, and many people are disappointed.

Its possible that this is the case because some of the well known mainstream
financial institutions are warming to bitcoin through futures trading and ETF'S

Probably it is.
Though the journey for this hasn't been so good at least there's something good at the very end of this year. Mainstream media is bias, they are just using bitcoin to cover and add a content to their daily reporting so they are in both sides but most of it to the bad side when a wealthy person pays them to cover its bad side.
