Yes, there is no such big leap, but still it has grown in comparison with the last year. Now a large number of alternatives

Told you so long ago to get the hell out.

People with financial sense have sold long ago - the price is now constantly going ever lower with only the "HODL'ers" being dumb enough to "buy the dip" - but the dips will just continue to get deeper and deeper.

And, yes, in here people are desperately screaming "FUD" at anyone who are not 100% believers in their fantasy crypto money - but at the end of the day, it is only these dreamers who will be owning the fantasy money, and like old pokemon-cards only other collectors might want to buy a few of them at pennies on the dollar.

An important point that you seem to miss, is that traditional financial sense is unusable in the new world of crypto. Cryto's are disrupting the usual financial "laws", the same way mobile phones disrupted land-lines, or the internet disrupted traditional means of information transfer.

It may happen, as you say, but where are the worthy arguments? You say so just because the price is dropping? But we've been at this point already a couple of years ago, and yet it recovered and then increased. And some countries' bans are not an issue too, we still have US, UK, Canada, Netherlands and this list could go on and on. Yet, ~10 000 isn't that bad, and the transactions are alright. You're talking to people who only used BTC as an investment, but for those who appreciate its features bitcoin is still demanded.

Bitcoin will almost certainly recover, as it has done in the past. It's also possible that Ethereum may take bitcoin's position. But crypto is so, so far from being 'dead'

Ohh no,Please stop talking like that the price of bitcoin is still expensive when compared to last year and the price is in down trend at the beginning of every. So the price may bump at the back end so hold your coins if you want to make money.

So long ago??  Since when has 3-4 months become anything but a short-term time frame.  BTC has exploded since the summer of 2017.  If you want to look only at the high from December to now, sure you can say people were greedy to think it was going to 100k, but saying this coin is coming to an end purely because of a correction is woefully ignorant and down right ridiculous.

Cryptocurrency or bitcoin like any other currency in the world fluctuates because one reason or the other. I would say that what is happening now is natural. And as a currency still facing a lot of battles because of its nature of operation, it is expected that its fortune dangles this way until it eventually settles.

There is a big difference between saying that bitcoin is overvalued, versus stating that bitcoin is becoming obsolete. The first statement can be justified, the second (yours) just shows complete ignorance of the problems bitcoin is solving.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
What makes your posts irritating and hyperbolic is the fact that you make everything black and white.  There is never going to be a definitive and sudden point at which Bitcoin ends, just (potentially) a point at which it falls into irrelevance compared to today.

You are not being helpful or constructive; you are not giving us any new information; you are just giving information we already new in a poorly phrased way.

Even if you could prove that Bitcoin was entirely useless, it wouldn't mean that the price would necessarily fall.  Speculators are not 100% rational and you should not rely on them for that.

We're still at $9,000+, sure, we dropped from $20k; but it is still a huge increase since october last year($5000). I don't see bitcoin even being close to the "end". In my opinion bitcoin is actually a lot better now: fees are a lot lower due to the blockchain not being too congested anymore(from 200k unconfirmed transactions to today's 41k[1]); segwit adoption increasing[2]; and lightning network[3] coming alot sooner than I've expected.

Also, what are you doing here in bitcointalk if all you do is spread unnecessary negativity anyway?
