No thanks, I think Connor McGregor entering boxing is enough to show that even if you are good in another combat sport you won't be good in another combat sport, his dominance in MMA didn't gave him the edge he is talking about. The same thing can be said for Pacquiao as even in decades of training boxing won't be enough for him to survive a MMA seasoned pro. Pacquiao would be smart if he takes the route Mayweather has took by doing another exhibition boxing match, but surely for him still having a belt in pro-boxing doing this exhibition match would only harm his reputation.
You have your point, tho one thing that I would disagree is he loses his reputation. Pacman already have nothing to lose by his age and his career right now this is the main reason why he keeps exploring things that can make him happy and being able to fight fairly ouside of your comfort zone is actually a brave and fun act to do.
