I think that many projects are dead but if they are dead this means they haven't had the necessary potential to survive. Why to think of them at all if there are a lot of other projects now?

It all depends on the situation. I trust only those companies that have an open and hard-working team.

I stopped investing in ICOs this year. It's too dangerous for many reasons. First, the market is in decline, second, there are a lot of scams, third, investors have lost confidence in ICOs and even good projects rarely raise enough money. I intend to wait for better times.

Let's be clear: most of the projects are born as scams, with the sole purpose of raising funds and then being left to die.
As in all new things, this is inevitable.
But there are valid projects, and we must not allow ourselves to be taken by general despair.

Many projects have died and many are yet to die. The cryptocurrency market has gone down and many are now on the verge of extinction. I think that in just a couple of years we will not see about 20 - 30 percent of those projects that are now and every year will be eliminated quite a large number of projects.

personally, before joining a project I will be understanding the project first by reading the whitepaper. In the whitepaper, there is usually a lot of important information about a project and of course, it will help us to choose whether the project is good to be followed or not

The fact that many projects are dying is not at all surprising. It was predictable even when there was a general hype.
with many dying projects making one of the factors in the decline in altcoin prices. if this continues, the altcoin will lose more value and investors will begin to lose confidence in Crypto. on the side of the failure of the project was also based on the developer himself who prioritized profits and left.

As far as I know, when I enter this market for the first time in late 2016. I have found a coin still listed on coinmarketcap, however on their twitter notification the project report has been stopped. The team has moved on to another project, I continue to find out that they only work for money  Lips sealed

I agree that many projects are dead. But there are also projects that are in hibernation and I hope that soon enough these projects will wake up and we will be millionaires again Smiley

It is true that many projects are practically dead, and many others will be soon. But in a sector that has been invaded by scammers and incompetents, a good cleaning can only be good.
It's up to us - little ones - to choose carefully.

Most of the abandoned projects are dead but yes, some of them are (not) actually dead if there were a community which still runs until today. The best reason for why a project can be dead is their developer scammed the investors, all of their social media are gone immediately after the ICO ends.
In many cases it was simple way to take money from trustful investors. Lack of knowledge and rules in this area are the reasons of many fraudulent ICO’s. Now people are afraid of ICOs and that’s why crypto’s going down.
Yes, you are right. Last year there were a lot of fraudulent ICOs because there was a growing market and you could make money on almost everything and fraudsters used inexperienced people.

One of the thing I look for in a project before investing is the strong use case of a project in cyptocurrency ecosystem first before any other area of interest. If you can not make your ideal realisable here in cryptocurrency , it is less likely you will be able to do it out there!
I think everyone should first consider the viability of the project and see how it fits with all the rest of the market, because I personally don't want to support projects that are not original, not innovative enough.

Most projects lack seriousness and the current state of the market is making it more difficult for good projects as well. Investors have no better option than to hold for a longer period provided they trust the project they invested in.

In order to answer this question, it is necessary to deeply analyze the current state of affairs in the field of investment in ICO and determine how strong are the tendencies towards closing many ICOs.
Certainly, but this does not mean that people should stop investing in various projects. It is important to follow the basic rules of investing, which are the same for any sphere. The growing number of different ICOs says only that investors need to take a closer look at companies and carefully weigh all their decisions. And at least - check the project at least for common signs of fraudulent schemes, which are also quite a large number.

For now many projects are dead, but many projects are starting to rise. do not be too easy to believe in negative things. only a few people are pessimistic about the cypto world. so stay patient and wait for the next project

Currently on the coinmarketcap site only about 1590 projects compared to at times more than 1700 projects. They have left many projects without developers or scam projects. I personally invested in some of these projects and lost a lot of money like bitconect and centra. Do you trust the projects you are investing in and will keep them for a long time until they succeed or are they just looking for profit in the short term?
On this market downtrend time very clearly visible, which projects is continue to develop and which is only collect our money for new lambo. Many projects is really make their progress every day.

I only keep altcoin that are stable and already known in the market, preferably top 20 in cryptocurrency. I choose top  altcoin because too many ICO are popping like mushroom  and I believe majority of it are going no where once the regulation is implemented.

Now there are really a lot of low-quality projects. Often they do not live long and die quickly. I think we should learn to bypass such projects.
